1. ஓரேபிலே இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரோடே பண்ணிக்கொண்ட உடன்படிக்கையை அல்லாமல், மோவாபின் தேசத்திலே அவர்களோடே உடன்படிக்கைபண்ணக் கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்ட வார்த்தைகள் இவைகளே.

1. These are the wordes of the appoyntmet which the Lorde commaunded Moses to make with the childern of Israel in the londe of Moab, besyde the appoyntment whiche he made with them in Horeb.

2. மோசே இஸ்ரவேலர் எல்லாரையும் வரவழைத்து, அவர்களை நோக்கி: எகிப்து தேசத்தில் உங்கள் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாகப் பார்வோனுக்கும் அவனுடைய எல்லா ஊழியக்காரருக்கும் அவனுடைய தேசமுழுவதற்கும்,

2. And Moses called vnto all Israel and sayed vnto them: Ye haue sene all that the Lorde dyd before youre eyes in the lande of Egipte, vnto Pharao and vnto all his seruauntes, and vnto all his londe,

3. கர்த்தர் செய்த பெரிய சோதனைகளையும், பெரிய அடையாளங்களையும், அற்புதங்களையும் கண்ணாரக் கண்டீர்களே.

3. and the greate temptacyons whiche thyne eyes haue sene and those greate myracles and wonders:

4. ஆகிலும் கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்கு உணரத்தக்க இருதயத்தையும், காணத்தக்க கண்களையும், கேட்கத்தக்க காதுகளையும் இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் கொடுக்கவில்லை.

4. and yet the Lorde hath not geuen you an herte to perceaue, nor eyes to se, nor eares to heare vnto this daye.

5. கர்த்தராகிய நான் உங்கள் தேவன் என்று நீங்கள் அறிந்துகொள்ளும்படிக்கு, நான் நாற்பது வருஷம் உங்களை வனாந்தரத்தில் நடத்தினேன்; உங்கள் மேலிருந்த வஸ்திரம் பழையதாய்ப் போகவும் இல்லை, உங்கள் காலிலிருந்த பாதரட்சைகள் பழையதாய்ப் போகவும் இல்லை.

5. And I haue led you .xl. yere in the wildernesse: and youre clothes are not waxed olde vppon you, nor are thy showes waxed olde vppon thy fete.

6. நீங்கள் அப்பம் சாப்பிடவும் இல்லை, திராட்சரசமும், மதுவும் குடிக்கவும் இல்லை என்றார்.

6. Ye haue eaten no bred nor droncke wyne or strounge dryncke: that ye myghte knowe, howe that he is the Lorde youre God.

7. நீங்கள் இவ்விடத்துக்கு வந்தபோது, எஸ்போனின் ராஜாவாகிய சீகோனும், பாசானின் ராஜாவாகிய ஓகும் நம்மோடே யுத்தஞ்செய்யப் புறப்பட்டார்கள்; நாம் அவர்களை முறிய அடித்து,

7. And at the last ye came vnto this place, ad Sihon the kynge of Hesbon and Og kynge of Basan came out agenst you vnto batayle, and we smote them

8. அவர்களுடைய தேசத்தைப் பிடித்து, அதை ரூபனியருக்கும் காத்தியருக்கும் மனாசேயின் பாதிக் கோத்திரத்திற்கும் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுத்தோம்.

8. and toke their londe and gaue it an heritaunce vnto the Rubenites and Gadites and to the halfe tribe of Manasse.

9. இப்பொழுதும் நீங்கள் செய்வதெல்லாம் உங்களுக்கு வாய்க்கும்படிக்கு, இந்த உடன்படிக்கையின் வார்த்தைகளைக் கைக்கொண்டு, அவைகளின்படி செய்வீர்களாக.

9. Kepe therfore the worde of this appoyntment and doo them, that ye maye vnderstonde all that ye ought to doo.

10. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குச் சொன்னபடியேயும், உன் பிதாக்களாகிய ஆபிரகாமுக்கும் ஈசாக்குக்கும் யாக்கோபுக்கும் ஆணையிட்டுக் கொடுத்தபடியேயும், இன்று உன்னைத் தமக்கு ஜனமாக ஏற்படுத்திக்கொள்ளவும், தாம் உனக்கு தேவனாயிருக்கவும்,

10. Ye stonde here this daye euery one of you before the Lorde youre God: both the heedes of youre trybes, youre elders, youre officers ad all the me of Israel:

11. நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய உடன்படிக்கைக்கும் இன்று அவர் உன்னோடே பண்ணுகிற அவருடைய ஆணையுறுதிக்கும் உட்படும்படிக்கு,

11. youre childern, youre wyues and the straungere that are in thyne host, from the hewer of thy wod vnto the drawer of thy water:

12. உங்கள் கோத்திரங்களின் தலைவரும் உங்கள் மூப்பரும் உங்கள் அதிபதிகளும் இஸ்ரவேலின் சகல புருஷரும்,

12. that thou shulddest come vnder the appoyntment of the Lorde thy God, and vnder his othe which the Lorde thy God maketh with the this daye.

13. உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளும், உங்கள் மனைவிகளும், உங்கள் பாளயத்துக்குள்ளிருக்கிற உங்கள் விறகுக்காரனும், உங்கள் தண்ணீர்க்காரனுமான அந்நியர் எல்லாரும் இன்று உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சமுகத்தில் நிற்கிறீர்களே.

13. For to make the a people vnto him selfe, and that he maye be vnto the a God, as he hath sayed vnto the and as he hath sworne vnto thi fathers Abraham, Isaac and Iacob.

14. நான் உங்களோடேமாத்திரம் இந்த உடன்படிக்கையையும் இந்த ஆணையையும் உறுதியையும் பண்ணாமல்,

14. Also I make not this bonde and this othe with you only:

15. இன்று இங்கே நம்மோடேகூட நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சமுகத்தில் நிற்கிறவர்களோடேயும், இன்று இங்கே நம்மோடே இராதவர்களோடேயும் கூட அதைப் பண்ணுகிறேன்.

15. but both with him that stodeth here with us this daye before the Lorde oure God, and also with him that is not here with us this daye.

16. நாம் எகிப்து தேசத்தில் குடியிருந்ததையும், நாம் கடந்துவந்த இடங்களிலிருந்த ஜாதிகளின் நடுவில் நடந்துவந்ததையும் நீங்கள் அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்கள்.

16. For ye knowe how we haue dwelt in the londe of Egipte, and how we came thorow the myddes of the nacions which we passed by.

17. அவர்களுடைய அருவருப்புகளையும், அவர்களிடத்திலிருக்கிற மரமும் கல்லும் வெள்ளியும் பொன்னுமான அவர்களுடைய நரகலான தேவர்களையும் கண்டிருக்கிறீர்கள்.

17. And ye haue sene their abhominacios and their ydolles: wod, stone, siluer and golde which they had.

18. ஆகையால், அந்த ஜாதிகளின் தேவர்களைச் சேவிக்கப் போகும்படி, இன்று நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை விட்டு அகலுகிற இருதயமுள்ள ஒரு புருஷனாகிலும் ஸ்திரீயாகிலும் குடும்பமாகிலும் கோத்திரமாகிலும் உங்களில் இராதபடிக்கும், நஞ்சையும் எட்டியையும் முளைப்பிக்கிற யாதொரு வேர் உங்களில் இராதபடிக்கும் பாருங்கள்.

18. Lest there be amonge you man or woman kynred or trybe that turneth awaye in his hert this daye from the Lord oure God, to goo ad serue the goddes of these nacions: and lest there be amonge you some roote that bereth gall and wormwod,

19. அப்படிப்பட்டவன் இந்த ஆணையுறுதியின் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்டும், தாகத்தினிமித்தம் வெறிக்கக் குடித்து, மன இஷ்டப்படி நடந்தாலும் எனக்குச் சுகமுண்டாயிருக்கும் என்று தன் உள்ளத்தைத் தேற்றிக்கொண்டால், கர்த்தர் அவனை மன்னிக்கச் சித்தமாயிரார்.

19. so that when he heareth the wordes of this curse, he blesse him selfe in his hert sayenge: I feare it not, I will ther fore walke after the lust of myne awne hert, that the drounken destroye the thurstie.

20. அப்பொழுது கர்த்தரின் கோபமும் எரிச்சலும் அந்த மனிதன்மேல் புகையும்; இந்தப் புஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிற சாபங்களெல்லாம் அவன்மேல் தங்கும்; கர்த்தர் அவன் பேரை வானத்தின்கீழ் இராதபடிக்குக் குலைத்துப்போடுவார்.

20. And so the Lorde will not be mercyfull vnto him, but then the wrath of the Lorde ad his gelousye, smoke agenst that man, ad al the curses that are written in this boke light vppo him, and the Lorde doo out his name fro vnder heauen,

21. இந்த நியாயப்பிரமாண புஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிற உடன்படிக்கையினுடைய சகல சாபங்களின்படியும் அவனுக்குத் தீங்காக கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேல் கோத்திரங்கள் எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் அவனைப் புறம்பாக்கிப்போடுவார்.

21. and separate him vnto euell out of all the trybes of Israel acordynge vnto all the curses of the appoyntement that is written in the boke of this lawe.

22. அப்பொழுது உங்களுக்குப்பின் எழும்பும் தலைமுறையான உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளும், தூரதேசத்திலிருந்து வரும் அந்நியரும், கர்த்தர் இந்த தேசத்துக்கு வருவித்த வாதைகளையும் நோய்களையும் காணும்போதும்,

22. So that the generacion to come of youre childern that shal ryse vpp after you ad the straunger that shall come from a ferre londe, saye when they se the plages of that londe, and the diseases where with the Lorde hath smytten it

23. கர்த்தர் தமது கோபத்திலும் தமது உக்கிரத்திலும் சோதோமையும், கோமோராவையும், அத்மாவையும், செபோயீமையும் கவிழ்த்துப்போட்டதுபோல, இந்த தேசத்தின் நிலங்களெல்லாம் விதைப்பும் விளைவும் யாதொரு பூண்டின் முளைப்பும் இல்லாதபடிக்கு, கந்தகத்தாலும், உப்பாலும் எரிக்கப்பட்டதைக் காணும்போதும்,

23. how all the londe is burnt vpp with bremstone and salt, that it is nether sowne nor beareth nor any grasse groweth, after the ouertrowenge of Sodome, Gomor, Adama ad Zeboim: which the Lorde ouerthrewe in his wrath and angre.

24. அந்த ஜாதிகளெல்லாம் கர்த்தர் இந்த தேசத்திற்கு ஏன் இப்படிச் செய்தார்; இந்த மகா கோபம் பற்றியெரிந்ததற்குக் காரணம் என்ன என்று சொல்லுவார்கள்.

24. And than all nacions also saye: wherfore hath the Lorde done of this facion vnto this londe? O how fearse is this greatt wrath?

25. அதற்கு: அவர்களுடைய பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அவர்களை எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணினபோது, அவர்களோடே பண்ணின உடன்படிக்கையை அவர்கள் விட்டுப்போய்,

25. And men shall saye: because they lefte the testamet of the Lorde God of their fathers which he made with them, whe he brought them out of the lande of Egipte.

26. தாங்கள் அறியாமலும் தங்களுக்கு ஒரு பலனும் அளிக்காமலும் இருக்கிற தேவர்களாகிய வேறே தேவர்களைச் சேவித்து, அவைகளைப் பணிந்துகொண்டபடியினாலே,

26. And they went ad serued straunge goddes and worshipped them: goddes which they knewe not and which had geuen them nought.

27. கர்த்தர் இந்தப் புஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிற சாபங்கள் எல்லாவற்றையும் இந்தத் தேசத்தின்மேல் வரப்பண்ண, அதின்மேல் கோபம் மூண்டவராகி,

27. And therfore the wrath off the Lorde waxed whote vppon that londe to brynge vppon it all the curses that are written in this boke.

28. அவர்களைக் கோபத்தினாலும் உக்கிரத்தினாலும் மகா எரிச்சலினாலும் அவர்களுடைய தேசத்திலிருந்து வேரோடே பிடுங்கி, இந்நாளில் இருக்கிறதுபோல, அவர்களை வேறே தேசத்தில் எறிந்துவிட்டார் என்று சொல்லப்படும்.

28. And the Lorde cast them out of their londe in angre, wrath and greate furyousnesse, and cast the in to a straunge londe, as it is come to passe this daye.

29. மறைவானவைகள் நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கே உரியவைகள்; வெளிப்படுத்தப்பட்டவைகளோ, இந்த நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின் வார்த்தைகளின்படியெல்லாம் செய்யும்படிக்கு, நமக்கும் நம்முடைய பிள்ளைகளுக்கும் என்றென்றைக்கும் உரியவைகள்.

29. The secrettes perteyne vnto the Lorde oure God and the thinges that are opened perteyne vnto us and oure childern for euer, that we doo all the wordes of this lawe.
