1. அக்காலத்திலே கர்த்தர் என்னை நோக்கி: நீ முந்தினவைகளுக்கொத்த இரண்டு கற்பலகைகளை வெட்டிக்கொண்டு, மலையின்மேல் ஏறி, என்னிடத்தில் வா; ஒரு மரப்பெட்டியையும் செய்வாயாக.

1. In the same time the Lord said vnto me, Hewe thee two Tables of stone like vnto the first, and come vp vnto me into the Mount, and make thee an Arke of wood,

2. நீ உடைத்துப்போட்ட முந்தின பலகைகளில் இருந்த வார்த்தைகளை நான் அந்தப் பலகைகளில் எழுதுவேன்; நீ அவைகளைப் பெட்டியிலே வைப்பாயாக என்றார்.

2. And I will write vpon the Tables ye wordes that were vpon the first Tables, which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the Arke.

3. அப்படியே நான் சீத்திம் மரத்தினால் ஒரு பெட்டியைச் செய்து, முந்தினவைகளுக்கொத்த இரண்டு கற்பலகைகளை வெட்டி, அவைகளை என் கையிலே எடுத்துக்கொண்டு மலையில் ஏறினேன்.

3. And I made an Arke of Shittim wood, and hewed two Tables of stone like vnto the first, and went vp into the Mountaine, and the two Tables in mine hand.

4. முன்னே சபைகூடிவந்த நாளில் கர்த்தர் மலையில் அக்கினி நடுவிலிருந்து உங்களுக்கு விளம்பின பத்துக்கற்பனைகளையும் அவர் முன் எழுதியிருந்த பிரகாரம் அந்தப் பலகைகளில் எழுதி, அவைகளை என்னிடத்தில் தந்தார்.

4. Then he wrote vpon the Tables according to the first writing (the tenne commandements, which the Lord spake vnto you in the Mount out of the middes of the fire, in the day of the assemblie) and the Lord gaue them vnto me.

5. அப்பொழுது நான் திரும்பி மலையிலிருந்து இறங்கி, அந்தப் பலகைகளை நான் செய்த பெட்டியிலே வைத்தேன்; கர்த்தர் எனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே அவைகள் அதிலே வைத்திருக்கிறது.

5. And I departed, and came downe from the Mount, and put the Tables in the Arke which I had made: and there they be, as the Lord commanded me.

6. பின்பு இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் பெனெயாக்கானுக்கடுத்த பேரோத்திலேயிருந்து மோசெராவுக்குப் பிரயாணம்பண்ணினார்கள்; அங்கே ஆரோன் மரித்து அடக்கம்பண்ணப்பட்டான்; அவன் ஸ்தானத்திலே அவன் குமாரனாகிய எலெயாசார் ஆசாரியனானான்.

6. And ye children of Israel tooke their iourney from Beeroth of the children of Iaakan to Mosera, where Aaron dyed, and was buried, and Eleazar his sonne became Priest in his steade.

7. அங்கேயிருந்து குத்கோதாவுக்கும், குத்கோதாவிலிருந்து ஆறுகளுள்ள நாடாகிய யோத்பாத்துக்கும் பிரயாணம்பண்ணினார்கள்.

7. From thence they departed vnto Gudgodah, and from Gudgodah to Iotbath a land of running waters.

8. அக்காலத்திலே கர்த்தருடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியைச் சுமப்பதற்கும், இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் நடந்துவருகிறதுபோல, கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியிலே நின்று அவருக்கு ஆராதனை செய்வதற்கும், அவர் நாமத்தைக்கொண்டு ஆசீர்வதிப்பதற்கும், கர்த்தர் லேவியின் கோத்திரத்தைப் பிரித்தெடுத்தார்.

8. The same time ye Lord separated the tribe of Leui to beare the Arke of the couenant of the Lord, and to stand before ye Lord, to minister vnto him, and to blesse in his Name vnto this day.

9. ஆகையால் லேவிக்கு அவன் சகோதரரோடே பங்கும் சுதந்தரமும் இல்லை; உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அவனுக்குச் சொன்னபடியே, கர்த்தரே அவனுக்குச் சுதந்தரம்.

9. Wherefore Leui hath no part nor inheritance with his brethren: for the Lord is his inheritance, as the Lord thy God hath promised him.

10. நான் முந்தின பிரகாரமாகவே நாற்பது நாள் இரவும் பகலும் மலையில் இருந்தேன்; கர்த்தர் அந்த முறையும் என் மன்றாட்டைக் கேட்டு, உன்னை அழிக்காமல் விட்டார்.

10. And I taried in the mount, as at ye first time, fourtie dayes and fourtie nightes, and the Lord heard me at that time also, and the Lord would not destroy thee.

11. கர்த்தர் என்னை நோக்கி: நான் கொடுப்பேன் என்று அவர்களுடைய பிதாக்களுக்கு ஆணையிட்ட தேசத்தில் அவர்கள் போய் அதைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளும்படி, நீ எழுந்து, ஜனத்திற்கு முன்பாகப் பிரயாணப்பட்டுப் போ என்றார்.

11. But the Lord said vnto me, Arise, goe forth in the iourney before the people, that they may goe in and possesse the land, which I sware vnto their fathers to giue vnto them.

12. இப்பொழுதும் இஸ்ரவேலே, நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குப் பயந்து, அவர் வழிகளிலெல்லாம் நடந்து, அவரிடத்தில் அன்புகூர்ந்து, உன் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் உன் முழு ஆத்துமாவோடும் உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரைச் சேவித்து,

12. And nowe, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to feare the Lord thy God, to walke in all his wayes, and to loue him, and to serue the Lord thy God, with all thine heart, and with all thy soule?

13. நான் இன்று உனக்குக் கற்பிக்கிற கர்த்தருடைய கற்பனைகளையும் அவருடைய கட்டளைகளையும் உனக்கு நன்மையுண்டாகும்படி கைக்கொள்ளவேண்டும் என்பதையே அல்லாமல், வேறே எதை உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னிடத்தில் கேட்கிறார்.

13. That thou keepe the commandements of the Lord, and his ordinances, which I commaund thee this day, for thy wealth?

14. இதோ, வானங்களும் வானாதிவானங்களும், பூமியும் அதிலுள்ள யாவும், உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடையவைகள்.

14. Beholde, heauen, and the heauen of heauens is the Lords thy God, and the earth, with all that therein is.

15. ஆனாலும் கர்த்தர் உன் பிதாக்கள்மேல் அன்புகூரும்பொருட்டு அவர்களிடத்தில் பிரியம் வைத்து, அவர்களுக்குப் பின் அவர்களுடைய சந்ததியாகிய உங்களை, இந்நாளில் இருக்கிறபடியே, சகல ஜாதிகளுக்குள்ளும் தமக்கென்று தெரிந்துகொண்டார்.

15. Notwithstanding, the Lord set his delite in thy fathers to loue them, and did choose their seede after them, euen you aboue all people, as appeareth this day.

16. ஆகையால் நீங்கள் இனி உங்கள் பிடரியைக் கடினப்படுத்தாமல், உங்கள் இருதயத்தின் நுனித்தோலை விருத்தசேதனம்பண்ணுங்கள்.

16. Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and harden your neckes no more.

17. உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் தேவாதி தேவனும், கர்த்தாதி கர்த்தரும், மகத்துவமும் வல்லமையும் பயங்கரமுமான தேவனுமாயிருக்கிறார்; அவர் பட்சபாதம்பண்ணுகிறவரும் அல்ல, பரிதானம் வாங்குகிறவரும் அல்ல.

17. For the Lord your God is God of gods, and Lord of lordes, a great God, mightie and terrible, which accepteth no persons nor taketh reward:

18. அவர் திக்கற்ற பிள்ளைக்கும் விதவைக்கும் நியாயஞ்செய்கிறவரும், அந்நியன்மேல் அன்புவைத்து அவனுக்கு அன்னவஸ்திரம் கொடுக்கிறவருமாய் இருக்கிறார்.

18. Who doeth right vnto the fatherlesse and widowe, and loueth the stranger, giuing him foode and rayment.

19. நீங்களும் எகிப்துதேசத்தில் அந்நியராயிருந்தபடியால், அந்நியரைச் சிநேகிப்பீர்களாக.

19. Loue ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

20. உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குப் பயந்து, அவரைச் சேவித்து, அவரைப் பற்றிக்கொண்டிருந்து, அவருடைய நாமத்தைக்கொண்டு ஆணையிடுவாயாக.

20. Thou shalt feare the Lord thy God: thou shalt serue him, and thou shalt cleaue vnto him, and shalt sweare by his Name.

21. அவரே உன் புகழ்ச்சி; உன் கண்கண்ட இந்தப் பெரிய பயங்கரமான காரியங்களை உன்னிடத்தில் செய்த உன்தேவன் அவரே.

21. He is thy praise, and hee is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes haue seene.

22. உன் பிதாக்கள் எழுபதுபேராய் எகிப்துக்குப் போனார்கள்; இப்பொழுதோ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னைத் திரட்சியிலே வானத்தின் நட்சத்திரங்களைப்போலாக்கினார்.

22. Thy fathers went downe into Egypt with seuentie persons, and now the Lord thy God hath made thee, as ye starres of ye heauen in multitude.
