1. And having looked up, he saw the rich casting their gifts into the treasury.

2. And he also saw a certain poor widow there casting in two mites.

3. And he said, Truly I say to you, that this poor widow cast in more than they all.

4. அவர்களெல்லாரும் தங்கள் பரிபூரணத்திலிருந்தெடுத்து தேவனுக்கென்று காணிக்கை போட்டார்கள்; இவளோ தன் வறுமையிலிருந்து தன் ஜீவனத்துக்கு உண்டாயிருந்ததெல்லாம் போட்டுவிட்டாள் என்றார்.

4. For all these cast into the offerings of God from their abundance, but this woman from her poverty cast in all the living that she had.

5. பின்பு, சிறந்த கற்களினாலும் காணிக்கைகளினாலும் தேவாலயம் அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறதைக்குறித்து சிலர் சொன்னபோது,

5. And as some spoke about the temple, that it was adorned with fine stones and gifts, he said,

6. These things that ye see, the days will come during which there will not be left a stone upon a stone that will not be thrown down.

7. And they questioned him, saying, Teacher, when therefore will these things be? And what is the sign when these things are going to happen?

8. And he said, Watch that ye may not be led astray, for many will come in my name, saying, I am, and, The time has come near. Go ye not therefore after them.

9. And when ye may hear of wars and tumults, do not be alarmed, for these things must first happen, but the end is not straightaway.

10. Then he said to them, Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

11. And great earthquakes will be in various places, and famines and plagues. And there will be fearful sights and great signs from the sky.

12. இவைகளெல்லாம் நடப்பதற்கு முன்னே என் நாமத்தினிமித்தம், அவர்கள் உங்களைப் பிடித்து, ஜெப ஆலயங்களுக்கும் சிறைச்சாலைகளுக்கும் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து, ராஜாக்கள் முன்பாகவும் அதிபதிகள் முன்பாகவும் உங்களை இழுத்துத் துன்பப்படுத்துவார்கள்.

12. But before all these things, they will throw their hands on you, and will persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.

13. But it will go out from you for testimony.

14. ஆகையால் என்ன உத்தரவு சொல்லுவோமென்று கவலைப்படாதிருக்கும்படி உங்கள் மனதிலே நிர்ணயம்பண்ணிக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.

14. Settle therefore in your hearts not to premeditate to make defense.

15. உங்களை விரோதிக்கிறவர்கள் ஒருவரும் எதிர்பேசவும் எதிர்நிற்கவும் கூடாத வாக்கையும் ஞானத்தையும் நான் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுப்பேன்.

15. For I will give you a mouth and wisdom that all those who oppose you will not be able to contradict or to resist.

16. பெற்றோராலும், சகோதரராலும், பந்துஜனங்களாலும், சிநேகிதராலும் காட்டிக்கொடுக்கப்படுவீர்கள்; உங்களில் சிலரைக் கொலைசெய்வார்கள்.

16. And ye will be betrayed even by parents, and kinsmen, and friends, and brothers. And some of you they will condemn to death.

17. என் நாமத்தினிமித்தம் எல்லாராலும் பகைக்கப்படுவீர்கள்.

17. And ye will be hated by all men because of my name.

18. And, no, not a hair of your head will perish.

19. In your perseverance ye gain your souls.

20. But when ye see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that the desolation of it has come near.

21. Then let those in Judea flee to the mountains, and let those in the midst of it depart out, and let not those in the countrysides enter into it.

22. Because these are days of vengeance to fulfill all things that are written.

25. And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, roaring of sea and of tossing,

28. And when these things begin to happen, stand upright, and lift up your heads, because your redemption approaches.

29. And he spoke a parable to them. Behold the fig tree, and all the trees.

30. When they are now sprouting, ye know seeing for yourselves that summer is now near.

31. Even so ye, when ye see these things happening, know ye that the kingdom of God is near.

32. இவையெல்லாம் சம்பவிக்குமுன் இந்தச் சந்ததி ஒழிந்துபோகாதென்று மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

32. Truly I say to you, that this generation will, no, not pass away until all things happen.

33. வானமும் பூமியும் ஒழிந்துபோம், என் வார்த்தைகளோ ஒழிந்துபோவதில்லை.

33. The sky and the earth will pass away, but my words may, no, not pass away.

34. உங்கள் இருதயங்கள் பெருந்திண்டியினாலும் வெறியினாலும் லவுகீக கவலைகளினாலும் பாரமடையாதபடிக்கும், நீங்கள் நினையாத நேரத்தில் அந்த நாள் உங்கள்மேல் வராதபடிக்கும் எச்சரிக்கையாயிருங்கள்.

34. But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down in debauchery and drunkenness and mundane cares, and that day come upon you sudden.

35. For it will come like a trap upon all those who sit upon the face of all the earth.

36. ஆகையால் இனிச் சம்பவிக்கப்போகிற இவைகளுக்கெல்லாம் நீங்கள் தப்பி, மனுஷகுமாரனுக்கு முன்பாக நிற்கப்பாத்திரவான்களாக எண்ணப்படுவதற்கு, எப்பொழுதும் ஜெபம்பண்ணி விழித்திருங்கள் என்றார்.

36. Watch ye therefore, making supplication at all times, so that ye may be considered worthy to escape all these things going to happen, and to stand before the Son of man.

37. அவர் பகற்காலங்களில் தேவாலயத்திலே உபதேசம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டிருந்து, இராக்காலங்களில் வெளியே போய், ஒலிவமலை என்னப்பட்ட மலையிலே தங்கிவந்தார்.

37. And during the days he was teaching in the temple, and going forth the nights, he lodged on the mount that is called Olives.

38. ஜனங்களெல்லாரும் அவருடைய உபதேசத்தைக் கேட்கும்படி அதிகாலமே தேவாலயத்தில் அவரிடத்திற்கு வருவார்கள்.

38. And all the people rose early in the morning to him in the temple to hear him.
