1. எட்டாம் நாளிலே மோசே ஆரோனையும் அவன் குமாரரையும் இஸ்ரவேலின் மூப்பரையும் அழைத்து,

1. ON THE eighth day Moses called Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel;

2. ஆரோனை நோக்கி: நீ பாவநிவாரணபலியாகப் பழுதற்ற ஒரு கன்றுக்குட்டியையும், சர்வாங்க தகனபலியாகப் பழுதற்ற ஒரு ஆட்டுக்கடாவையும் தெரிந்துகொண்டு, கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் பலியிடக்கடவாய்.

2. And he said to Aaron, Take a young calf for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering, [each] without blemish, and offer them before the Lord. [Heb. 10:10-12.]

3. மேலும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரை நோக்கி: கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் பலியிடும்படிக்கு, நீங்கள் பாவநிவாரணபலியாகப் பழுதற்ற ஒரு வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடாவையும், சர்வாங்க தகனபலியாக ஒருவயதான பழுதற்ற ஒரு கன்றுக்குட்டியையும், ஒரு ஆட்டுக்குட்டியையும்,

3. And say to the Israelites, Take a male goat for a sin offering, and a calf and a lamb, both a year old, without blemish, for a burnt offering,

4. சமாதானபலிகளாக ஒரு காளையையும், ஒரு ஆட்டுக்கடாவையும், எண்ணெயிலே பிசைந்த போஜனபலியையும் கொண்டுவாருங்கள்; இன்று கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்குத் தரிசனமாவார் என்று சொல் என்றான்.

4. Also a bull and a ram for peace offerings to sacrifice before the Lord, and a cereal offering mixed with oil, for today the Lord will appear to you.

5. மோசே கட்டளையிட்டவைகளை அவர்கள் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்துக்கு முன்பாகக் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள். சபையார் எல்லாரும் சேர்ந்து, கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் நின்றார்கள்.

5. They brought before the Tent of Meeting what Moses [had] commanded; all the congregation drew near and stood before the Lord.

6. அப்பொழுது மோசே: கர்த்தர் கட்டளையிட்ட இந்தக் காரியத்தைச் செய்யுங்கள்; கர்த்தருடைய மகிமை உங்களுக்குக் காணப்படும் என்றான்.

6. And Moses said, This is the thing which the Lord commanded you to do, and the glory of the Lord will appear to you.

7. மோசே ஆரோனை நோக்கி: நீ பலிபீடத்தண்டையில் சேர்ந்து, கர்த்தர் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, உன் பாவநிவாரணபலியையும் உன் சர்வாங்க தகனபலியையும் செலுத்தி, உனக்காகவும் ஜனங்களுக்காகவும் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்து, ஜனங்களுடைய பலியையும் செலுத்தி, அவர்களுக்காகவும் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய் என்றான்.

7. And Moses said to Aaron, Draw near to the altar and offer your sin offering and your burnt offering and make atonement for yourself and for the people; and offer the offering of the people and make atonement for them, as the Lord commanded. [Heb. 5:1-5; 7:27.]

8. அப்பொழுது ஆரோன் பலிபீடத்தண்டையில் சேர்ந்து, தன் பாவநிவாரணபலியாகிய கன்றுக்குட்டியைக் கொன்றான்.

8. So Aaron drew near to the altar and killed the calf of the sin offering, which was designated for himself.

9. ஆரோனின் குமாரர் அதின் இரத்தத்தை அவனிடத்தில் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்; அவன் தன் விரலை அந்த இரத்தத்தில் தோய்த்து, பலிபீடத்தின் கொம்புகளின் மேல் பூசி, மற்ற இரத்தத்தைப் பலிபீடத்தின் அடியிலே ஊற்றி,

9. The sons of Aaron presented the blood to him; he dipped his finger in the blood and put it on the horns of the altar and poured out the blood at the altar's base;

10. பாவநிவாரணபலியின் கொழுப்பையும், குண்டிக்காய்களையும், கல்லீரலில் எடுத்த ஜவ்வையும், கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் தகனித்து,

10. But the fat, the kidneys, and the lobe of the liver from the sin offering he burned on the altar, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

11. மாம்சத்தையும் தோலையும் பாளயத்துக்குப் புறம்பே அக்கினியிலே சுட்டெரித்தான்.

11. And the flesh and the hide Aaron burned with fire outside the camp.

12. பின்பு சர்வாங்கதகனபலியையும் கொன்றான்; ஆரோனின் குமாரர் அதின் இரத்தத்தை அவனிடத்தில் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்; அதை அவன் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் சுற்றிலும் தெளித்தான்.

12. He killed the burnt offering, and Aaron's sons delivered to him the blood, which he dashed round about upon the altar.

13. சர்வாங்கதகனபலியின் துண்டங்களையும் தலையையும் அவனிடத்தில் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்; அவன் அவைகளைப் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் தகனித்து,

13. And they brought the burnt offering to him piece by piece, and the head, and Aaron burned them upon the altar.

14. குடல்களையும் தொடைகளையும் கழுவி, பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் இருந்த சர்வாங்க தகனபலியின்மேல் தகனித்தான்.

14. And he washed the entrails and the legs and burned them with the burnt offering on the altar.

15. பின்பு அவன் ஜனங்களின் பலியைக்கொண்டுவந்து, ஜனங்களின் பாவநிவிர்த்திக்குரிய வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடாவைக்கொன்று, முந்தினதைப் பலியிட்டது போல, அதைப் பாவநிவாரணபலியாக்கி,

15. Then Aaron presented the people's offering, and took the goat of the sin offering which was for the people and killed it and offered it for sin as he did the first sin offering. [Heb. 2:16, 17.]

16. சர்வாங்கதகனபலியையும் கொண்டுவந்து, நியமத்தின்படி அதைப் பலியிட்டு,

16. And he presented the burnt offering and offered it according to the ordinance.

17. போஜனபலியையும் கொண்டுவந்து, அதில் கைநிறைய எடுத்து, அதைக் காலையில் செலுத்தும் சர்வாங்கதகனபலியுடனே பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் தகனித்தான்.

17. And Aaron presented the cereal offering and took a handful of it and burned it on the altar in addition to the burnt offering of the morning.

18. பின்பு ஜனங்களின் சமாதானபலிகளாகிய காளையையும் ஆட்டுக்கடாவையும் கொன்றான்; ஆரோனின் குமாரர் அதின் இரத்தத்தை அவனிடத்தில் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்; அவன் அதைப் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் சுற்றிலும் தெளித்து,

18. He also killed the bull and the ram, the sacrifice of peace offerings, for the people; and Aaron's sons presented to him the blood, which he dashed upon the altar round about,

19. காளையிலும் ஆட்டுக்கடாவிலும் எடுத்த கொழுப்பையும், வாலையும், குடல்களை மூடிய ஜவ்வையும், குண்டிக்காய்களையும், கல்லீரலின்மேல் இருந்த ஜவ்வையும் கொண்டுவந்து,

19. And the fat of the bull and of the ram, the fat tail and that which covers the entrails, and the kidneys, and the lobe of the liver.

20. கொழுப்பை மார்க்கண்டங்களின்மேல் வைத்தார்கள்; அந்தக் கொழுப்பைப் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் தகனித்தான்.

20. And they put the fat upon the breasts, and Aaron burned the fat upon the altar;

21. மார்க்கண்டங்களையும் வலது முன்னந்தொடையையும், மோசே கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, ஆரோன் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் அசைவாட்டும் பலியாக அசைவாட்டினான்.

21. But the breasts and the right thigh Aaron waved for a wave offering before the Lord, as Moses commanded.

22. பின்பு ஆரோன் ஜனங்களுக்கு நேராகத் தன் கைகளை உயர்த்தி, அவர்களை ஆசீர்வதித்து, தான் பாவநிவாரணபலியையும், சர்வாங்கதகனபலியையும், சமாதானபலிகளையும் செலுத்தின இடத்திலிருந்து இறங்கினான்.

22. Then Aaron lifted his hands toward the people and blessed them, and came down [from the altar] after offering the sin offering, the burnt offering, and the peace offerings.

23. பின்பு மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரத்துக்குள் பிரவேசித்து, வெளியே வந்து, ஜனங்களை ஆசீர்வதித்தார்கள்; அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருடைய மகிமை சகல ஜனங்களுக்கும் காணப்பட்டது.

23. Moses and Aaron went into the Tent of Meeting, and when they came out they blessed the people, and the glory of the Lord [the Shekinah cloud] appeared to all the people [as promised]. [Lev. 9:6.]

24. அன்றியும் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியிலிருந்து அக்கினி புறப்பட்டு, பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் இருந்த சர்வாங்க தகனபலியையும் கொழுப்பையும் எரித்துவிட்டது; ஜனங்களெல்லாரும் அதைக் கண்டபோது ஆரவாரித்து முகங்குப்புற விழுந்தார்கள்.

24. Then there came a fire out from before the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the fat on the altar; and when all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces.
