1. பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

1. The LORD spoke to Moses, saying:

2. நீ இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரோடே சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: யாதாமொருவர் ஒரு விசேஷித்த பொருத்தனை பண்ணியிருந்தால், பொருத்தனை பண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள் உன் மதிப்பின்படி கர்த்தருக்கு உரியவர்கள்.

2. Speak to the people of Israel and say to them: When a person makes an explicit vow to the LORD concerning the equivalent for a human being,

3. இருபது வயதுமுதல் அறுபது வயதுக்கு உட்பட்ட ஆண்பிள்ளையை நீ பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தின் சேக்கலாகிய ஐம்பது வெள்ளிச்சேக்கலாகவும்,

3. the equivalent for a male shall be: from twenty to sixty years of age the equivalent shall be fifty shekels of silver by the sanctuary shekel.

4. பெண்பிள்ளையை முப்பது சேக்கலாகவும் மதிப்பாயாக.

4. If the person is a female, the equivalent is thirty shekels.

5. ஐந்து வயதுமுதல் இருபது வயதுக்கு உட்பட்ட ஆண்பிள்ளையை இருபது சேக்கலாகவும், பெண்பிள்ளையைப் பத்துச்சேக்கலாகவும்,

5. If the age is from five to twenty years of age, the equivalent is twenty shekels for a male and ten shekels for a female.

6. ஒரு மாதம்முதல் ஐந்து வயதுக்கு உட்பட்ட ஆண்பிள்ளையை ஐந்து வெள்ளிச்சேக்கலாகவும், பெண்பிள்ளையை மூன்று வெள்ளிச்சேக்கலாகவும்,

6. If the age is from one month to five years, the equivalent for a male is five shekels of silver, and for a female the equivalent is three shekels of silver.

7. அறுபது வயதுதொடங்கி, அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட வயதுள்ள ஆண்பிள்ளையைப் பதினைந்து சேக்கலாகவும், பெண்பிள்ளையைப் பத்துச் சேக்கலாகவும் மதிக்கக்கடவாய்.

7. And if the person is sixty years old or over, then the equivalent for a male is fifteen shekels, and for a female ten shekels.

8. If any cannot afford the equivalent, they shall be brought before the priest and the priest shall assess them; the priest shall assess them according to what each one making a vow can afford.

9. ஒருவன் பொருத்தனைபண்ணினது கர்த்தருக்குப் பலியிடப்படத்தக்க மிருக ஜீவனானால் அவன் கர்த்தருக்குக் கொடுக்கிற அப்படிப்பட்டதெல்லாம் பரிசுத்தமாயிருப்பதாக.

9. If it concerns an animal that may be brought as an offering to the LORD, any such that may be given to the LORD shall be holy.

10. அதை மாற்றாமலும் வேறுபடுத்தாமலும் இருப்பானாக; இளப்பமானதற்குப் பதிலாக நலமானதையும், நலமானதற்குப் பதிலாக இளப்பமானதையும் செலுத்தாமல் இருப்பானாக; அவன் மிருகத்திற்குப் பதிலாக மிருகத்தை மாற்றிக் கொடுப்பானாகில், அப்பொழுது அதுவும் அதற்குப் பதிலாகக் கொடுத்ததும் பரிசுத்தமாயிருப்பதாக.

10. Another shall not be exchanged or substituted for it, either good for bad or bad for good; and if one animal is substituted for another, both that one and its substitute shall be holy.

11. அது கர்த்தருக்குப் பலியிடப்படத்தகாத சுத்தமல்லாத யாதொரு மிருகமானால், அதை ஆசாரியனுக்கு முன்பாக நிறுத்தக்கடவன்.

11. If it concerns any unclean animal that may not be brought as an offering to the LORD, the animal shall be presented before the priest.

12. ஆசாரியன் அது நல்லதானாலும் இளப்பமானதானாலும் அதை மதிப்பானாக; உன் மதிப்பின்படியே இருக்கக்கடவது.

12. The priest shall assess it: whether good or bad, according to the assessment of the priest, so it shall be.

13. அதை மீட்டுக்கொள்ள மனதாயிருந்தானாகில், உன் மதிப்போடே ஐந்தில் ஒரு பங்கைக் கூட்டிக் கொடுக்கக்கடவன்.

13. But if it is to be redeemed, one-fifth must be added to the assessment.

14. ஒருவன் தன் வீட்டைக் கர்த்தருக்குப் பரிசுத்தம் என்று நேர்ந்துகொண்டால், ஆசாரியன் அதின் நலத்துக்கும் இளப்பத்துக்கும்தக்கதாக அதை மதிக்கக்கடவன்; ஆசாரியன் மதிக்கிறபடி அது இருக்கக்கடவது.

14. If a person consecrates a house to the LORD, the priest shall assess it: whether good or bad, as the priest assesses it, so it shall stand.

15. தன் வீட்டைப் பரிசுத்தம் என்று நேர்ந்துகொண்டவன் அதை மீட்டுக்கொள்ள மனதாயிருந்தால், நீ மதிக்கும் திரவியத்தோடே ஐந்தில் ஒரு பங்கைக் கூட்டிக் கொடுக்கக்கடவன்; அப்பொழுது அது அவனுடையதாகும்.

15. And if the one who consecrates the house wishes to redeem it, one-fifth shall be added to its assessed value, and it shall revert to the original owner.

16. ஒருவன் தன் காணியாட்சியான வயலில் யாதொரு பங்கைக் கர்த்தருக்குப் பரிசுத்தம் என்று நேர்ந்துகொண்டால், உன் மதிப்பு அதின் விதைப்புக்குத்தக்கதாய் இருக்கவேண்டும்; ஒரு கலம் வாற்கோதுமை விதைக்கிற வயல் ஐம்பது வெள்ளிச் சேக்கலாக மதிக்கப்படவேண்டும்.

16. If a person consecrates to the LORD any inherited landholding, its assessment shall be in accordance with its seed requirements: fifty shekels of silver to a homer of barley seed.

17. யூபிலி வருஷமுதல் அவன் தன் வயலைப் பரிசுத்தம் என்று நேர்ந்துகொண்டால், அது உன் மதிப்பின்படி இருக்கவேண்டும்.

17. If the person consecrates the field as of the year of jubilee, that assessment shall stand;

18. யூபிலி வருஷத்துக்குப்பின் தன் வயலைப் பரிசுத்தம் என்று நேர்ந்துகொண்டானானால், யூபிலி வருஷம்மட்டுமுள்ள மற்ற வருஷங்களின்படியே ஆசாரியன் திரவியத்தைக் கணக்குப்பார்த்து, அதற்குத்தக்கது உன் மதிப்பிலே தள்ளப்படவேண்டும்.

18. but if the field is consecrated after the jubilee, the priest shall compute the price for it according to the years that remain until the year of jubilee, and the assessment shall be reduced.

19. வயலைப் பரிசுத்தம் என்று நேர்ந்துகொண்டவன் அதை மீட்டுக்கொள்ள மனதாயிருந்தால், உன் மதிப்பான திரவியத்தோடே ஐந்தில் ஒரு பங்கைக் கூட்டிக்கொடுக்கக்கடவன்; அப்பொழுது அது அவனுக்கு உறுதியாகும்.

19. And if the one who consecrates the field wishes to redeem it, then one-fifth shall be added to its assessed value, and it shall revert to the original owner;

20. அவன் வயலை மீட்டுக்கொள்ளாமல், வயலை வேறோருவனுக்கு விற்றுப்போட்டால், அது திரும்ப மீட்கப்படாமல்,

20. but if the field is not redeemed, or if it has been sold to someone else, it shall no longer be redeemable.

21. யூபிலி வருஷத்தில் மீட்கப்படும்போது, சாபத்தீடான வயலாகக் கர்த்தருக்கென்று நியமிக்கப்பட்டதாயிருக்கக்கடவது; அது ஆசாரியனுக்குக் காணியாட்சியாகும்.

21. But when the field is released in the jubilee, it shall be holy to the LORD as a devoted field; it becomes the priest's holding.

22. ஒருவன் தனக்குக் காணியாட்சி வயலாயிராமல் தான் விலைக்கு வாங்கின ஒரு வயலைக் கர்த்தருக்குப் பரிசுத்தம் என்று நேர்ந்துகொண்டால்,

22. If someone consecrates to the LORD a field that has been purchased, which is not a part of the inherited landholding,

23. அது யூபிலி வருஷம்மட்டும், உன் மதிப்பின்படி பெறும்விலை இன்னதென்று ஆசாரியன் அவனோடே கணக்குப்பார்த்து, அந்த உன் மதிப்பை, கர்த்தருக்குப் பரிசுத்தமாயிருக்கும்படி, அவன் அந்நாளிலே கொடுக்கக்கடவன்.

23. the priest shall compute for it the proportionate assessment up to the year of jubilee, and the assessment shall be paid as of that day, a sacred donation to the LORD.

24. யார் கையிலே அந்த வயலைக் கொண்டானோ, அந்தக் காணியாட்சிக்காரன் வசமாய் அது யூபிலி வருஷத்தில் திரும்பச்சேரும்.

24. In the year of jubilee the field shall return to the one from whom it was bought, whose holding the land is.

25. உன் மதிப்பெல்லாம் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்துச் சேக்கல் கணக்காயிருக்கக்கடவது; ஒரு சேக்கலானது இருபது கேரா.

25. All assessments shall be by the sanctuary shekel: twenty gerahs shall make a shekel.

26. தலையீற்றானவைகள் கர்த்தருடையது, ஆகையால் ஒருவரும் தலையீற்றாகிய மிருகஜீவனைப் பரிசுத்தம் என்று நேர்ந்துகொள்ளலாகாது; அது மாடானாலும் ஆடானாலும் கர்த்தருடையது.

26. A firstling of animals, however, which as a firstling belongs to the LORD, cannot be consecrated by anyone; whether ox or sheep, it is the LORD's.

27. சுத்தமல்லாத மிருகத்தினுடைய தலையீற்றானால், அதை அவன் உன் மதிப்பின்படி மீட்டுக்கொண்டு, அதனுடனே ஐந்தில் ஒரு பங்கைக் கூட்டிக்கொடுக்கக்கடவன்; மீட்கப்படாமலிருந்தால், உன் மதிப்பின்படி அது விற்கப்படக்கடவது.

27. If it is an unclean animal, it shall be ransomed at its assessment, with one-fifth added; if it is not redeemed, it shall be sold at its assessment.

28. ஒருவன் தன் வசத்திலுள்ள நரஜீவனிலாவது, மிருகஜீவனிலாவது, காணியாட்சி நிலத்திலாவது, எதையாகிலும் கர்த்தருக்கென்று சாபத்தீடாக நேர்ந்துகொண்டால், அது விற்கப்படவும் மீட்கப்படவும் கூடாது; நேர்ந்துகொள்ளப்பட்டவைகளெல்லாம் கர்த்தருக்காகப் பரிசுத்தமாயிருக்கும்.

28. Nothing that a person owns that has been devoted to destruction for the LORD, be it human or animal, or inherited landholding, may be sold or redeemed; every devoted thing is most holy to the LORD.

29. நரஜீவனில் சாபத்தீடாக நியமிக்கப்பட்டவைகளெல்லாம் மீட்கப்படாமல் கொலைசெய்யப்படக்கடவது.

29. No human beings who have been devoted to destruction can be ransomed; they shall be put to death.

30. தேசத்திலே நிலத்தின் வித்திலும், விருட்சங்களின் கனியிலும், தசமபாகம் எல்லாம் கர்த்தருக்கு உரியது; அது கர்த்தருக்குப் பரிசுத்தமானது.

30. All tithes from the land, whether the seed from the ground or the fruit from the tree, are the LORD's; they are holy to the LORD.

31. ஒருவன் தன் தசமபாகத்திலே எவ்வளவாவது மீட்டுக்கொள்ள மனதாயிருந்தானானால், அதனுடன் ஐந்தில் ஒரு பங்கைக் கூட்டிக் கொடுக்கக்கடவன்.

31. If persons wish to redeem any of their tithes, they must add one-fifth to them.

32. கோலின் கீழ்ப்பட்ட ஆடுமாடுகளிலே பத்தில் ஒரு பங்காகிறதெல்லாம் கர்த்தருக்குப் பரிசுத்தமானது.

32. All tithes of herd and flock, every tenth one that passes under the shepherd's staff, shall be holy to the LORD.

33. அது நல்லதோ இளப்பமானதோ என்று அவன் பார்க்கவேண்டாம்; அதை மாற்றவும் வேண்டாம்; மாற்றினால், அதுவும் அதற்குப் பதிலாகக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டதுமாகிய இரண்டும் பரிசுத்தமாகும்; அது மீட்கப்படக்கூடாதென்று அவர்களோடே சொல் என்றார்.

33. Let no one inquire whether it is good or bad, or make substitution for it; if one makes substitution for it, then both it and the substitute shall be holy and cannot be redeemed.

34. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குச் சொல்லும்படி கர்த்தர் சீனாய்மலையில் மோசேக்கு விதித்த கட்டளைகள் இவைகளே.

34. These are the commandments that the LORD gave to Moses for the people of Israel on Mount Sinai.
