1. கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

1. And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

2. பின்னும் நீ இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரோடே சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்; இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரிலும் இஸ்ரவேலில் வாசம்பண்ணுகிற அந்நியர்களிலும் எவனாகிலும் தன் சந்ததியில் ஒரு பிள்ளையை மோளேகுக்குக் கொடுத்தால், அவன் கொலைசெய்யப்படவேண்டும்; தேசத்தின் ஜனங்கள் அவன்மேல் கல்லெறியவேண்டும்.

2. 'And unto the sons of Israel thou dost say, Any man of the sons of Israel, and of the sojourners who is sojourning in Israel, who giveth of his seed to the Molech, is certainly put to death; the people of the land do stone him with stones;

3. அவன் என் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்தி, என் பரிசுத்த நாமத்தைப் பரிசுத்தக் குலைச்சலாக்கும்படிக்கு, தன் சந்ததியில் ஒரு பிள்ளையை மோளேகுக்குக் கொடுத்ததினாலே, நான் அப்படிப்பட்டவனுக்கு விரோதமாக எதிர்த்து நின்று, அவனைத் தன் ஜனத்தில் இராதபடிக்கு அறுப்புண்டு போகப்பண்ணுவேன்.

3. and I -- I set My face against that man, and have cut him off from the midst of his people, for of his seed he hath given to the Molech, so as to defile My sanctuary, and to pollute My holy name.

4. அவன் தன் சந்ததியில் ஒரு பிள்ளையை மோளேகுக்குக் கொடுக்கும்போது, தேசத்தின் ஜனங்கள் அவனைக் கொலைசெய்யாதபடிக்குக் கண்சாடையாயிருந்தால்,

4. 'And if the people of the land really hide their eyes from that man, in his giving of his seed to the Molech, so as not to put him to death,

5. நான் அந்த மனிதனுக்கும் அவன் குடும்பத்துக்கும் விரோதமாக எதிர்த்து நின்று, அவனையும், அவன் பிறகே மோளேகை விபசாரமார்க்கமாய்ப் பின்பற்றின யாவரையும், தங்கள் ஜனத்தில் இராதபடிக்கு அறுப்புண்டுபோகப்பண்ணுவேன்.

5. then I have set My face against that man, and against his family, and have cut him off, and all who are going a-whoring after him, even going a-whoring after the Molech, from the midst of their people.

6. அஞ்சனம் பார்க்கிறவர்களையும் குறிசொல்லுகிறவர்களையும் பின்தொடர்ந்து சோரம்போக எந்த ஆத்துமா அவர்களை நாடுகிறானோ, அந்த ஆத்துமாவுக்கு விரோதமாக எதிர்த்துநின்று, அவனைத் தன் ஜனத்தில் இராதபடிக்கு அறுப்புண்டுபோகப்பண்ணுவேன்.

6. 'And the person who turneth unto those having familiar spirits, and unto the wizards, to go a-whoring after them, I have even set My face against that person, and cut him off from the midst of his people.

7. ஆதலால் நீங்கள் உங்களைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்திப் பரிசுத்தராயிருங்கள்; நான் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர்.

7. 'And ye have sanctified yourselves, and ye have been holy, for I [am] Jehovah your God;

8. என் கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொண்டு நடவுங்கள்; நான் உங்களைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்குகிற கர்த்தர்.

8. and ye have kept My statutes and have done them; I [am] Jehovah, sanctifying you.

9. தன் தகப்பனையாவது தன் தாயையாவது சபிக்கிற எவனும் கொலைசெய்யப்படக்கடவன்; அவன் தன் தகப்பனையும் தன் தாயையும் சபித்தான், அவன் இரத்தப்பழி அவன்மேல் இருப்பதாக.

9. 'For any man who revileth his father and his mother is certainly put to death; his father and his mother he hath reviled: his blood [is] on him.

10. ஒருவன் பிறனுடைய மனைவியோடே விபசாரம் செய்தால், பிறன் மனைவியோடே விபசாரம் செய்த அந்த விபசாரனும் அந்த விபசாரியும் கொலைசெய்யப்படக்கடவர்கள்.

10. 'And a man who committeth adultery with a man's wife -- who committeth adultery with the wife of his neighbour -- the adulterer and the adulteress are surely put to death.

11. தன் தகப்பன் மனைவியோடே சயனிக்கிறவன் தன் தகப்பனை நிர்வாணமாக்கினபடியால், இருவரும் கொலைசெய்யப்படக்கடவர்கள்; அவர்கள் இரத்தப்பழி அவர்கள்மேல் இருப்பதாக.

11. 'And a man who lieth with his father's wife -- the nakedness of his father he hath uncovered -- both of them are certainly put to death; their blood [is] on them.

12. ஒருவன் தன் மருமகளோடே சயனித்தால், இருவரும் கொலைசெய்யப்படக்கடவர்கள்; அருவருப்பான தாறுமாறு பண்ணினார்கள்; அவர்கள் இரத்தப்பழி அவர்கள்மேல் இருப்பதாக.

12. 'And a man who lieth with his daughter-in-law -- both of them are certainly put to death; confusion they have made; their blood [is] on them.

13. ஒருவன் பெண்ணோடே சம்யோகம்பண்ணுகிறதுபோல ஆணோடே சம்யோகம்பண்ணினால், அருவருப்பான காரியம் செய்த அவ்விருவரும் கொலைசெய்யப்படக்கடவர்கள்; அவர்கள் இரத்தப்பழி அவர்கள்மேல் இருப்பதாக.

13. 'And a man who lieth with a male as one lieth with a woman; abomination both of them have done; they are certainly put to death; their blood [is] on them.

14. ஒருவன் ஒரு ஸ்திரீயையும் அவள் தாயையும் படைத்தால், அது முறைகேடு; இவ்வித முறைகேடு உங்களுக்குள் இராதபடிக்கு, அவனையும் அவர்களையும் அக்கினியில் சுட்டெரிக்கவேண்டும்.

14. 'And a man who taketh the woman and her mother -- it [is] wickedness; with fire they burn him and them, and there is no wickedness in your midst.

15. ஒருவன் மிருகத்தோடே புணர்ந்தால், அவன் கொலைசெய்யப்படக்கடவன்; அந்த மிருகத்தையும் கொல்லக்கடவீர்கள்.

15. 'And a man who giveth his lying with a beast is certainly put to death, and the beast ye do slay.

16. ஒரு ஸ்திரீ யாதொரு மிருகத்தோடே சேர்ந்து சயனித்தால், அந்த ஸ்திரீயையும் அந்த மிருகத்தையும் கொல்லக்கடவாய்; இருஜீவனும் கொலைசெய்யப்படவேண்டும்; அவைகளின் இரத்தப்பழி அவைகளின்மேல் இருப்பதாக.

16. 'And a woman who draweth near unto any beast to lie with it -- thou hast even slain the woman and the beast; they are certainly put to death; their blood [is] on them.

17. ஒருவன் தன் தகப்பனுக்காவது தன் தாய்க்காவது குமாரத்தியாயிருக்கிற தன் சகோதரியைச் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு, அவன் அவளுடைய நிர்வாணத்தையும், அவள் அவனுடைய நிர்வாணத்தையும் பார்த்தால், அது பாதகம்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் ஜனங்களின் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக அறுப்புண்டு போகக்கடவர்கள்; அவன் தன் சகோதரியை நிர்வாணப்படுத்தினான்; அவன் தன் அக்கிரமத்தைச் சுமப்பான்.

17. 'And a man who taketh his sister, a daughter of his father or daughter of his mother, and he hath seen her nakedness, and she seeth his nakedness: it is a shame; and they have been cut off before the eyes of the sons of their people; the nakedness of his sister he hath uncovered; his iniquity he beareth.

18. ஒருவன் சூதகஸ்திரீயோடே சயனித்து, அவளை நிர்வாணமாக்கினால், அவன் அவளுடைய உதிர ஊற்றைத் திறந்து, அவளும் தன் உதிர ஊற்றை வெளிப்படுத்தினபடியால், இருவரும் தங்கள் ஜனத்தில் இராதபடிக்கு அறுப்புண்டுபோகவேண்டும்.

18. 'And a man who lieth with a sick woman, and hath uncovered her nakedness, her fountain he hath made bare, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood, -- even both of them have been cut off from the midst of their people.

19. உன் தாயினுடைய சகோதரியையும் உன் தகப்பனுடைய சகோதரியையும் நிர்வாணமாக்காயாக, அப்படிப்பட்டவன் தன் நெருங்கிய இனத்தை அவமானமாக்கினான்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் அக்கிரமத்தைச் சுமப்பார்கள்.

19. 'And the nakedness of thy mother's sister, and of thy father's sister, thou dost not uncover; because his relation he hath made bare; their iniquity they bear.

20. ஒருவன் தன் தகப்பனின் சகோதரனுடைய மனைவியோடே சயனித்தால், அவன் தன் தகப்பனின் சகோதரனை நிர்வாணமாக்கினான்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் பாவத்தைச் சுமப்பார்கள், சந்தானமில்லாமல் சாவார்கள்.

20. 'And a man who lieth with his aunt, the nakedness of his uncle he hath uncovered; their sin they bear; childless they die.

21. ஒருவன் தன் சகோதரன் மனைவியை விவாகம்பண்ணினால், அது அசுத்தம்; தன் சகோதரனை நிர்வாணமாக்கினான், அவர்கள் சந்தானமற்றிருப்பார்கள்.

21. 'And a man who taketh his brother's wife -- it [is] impurity; the nakedness of his brother he hath uncovered; childless they are.

22. ஆகையால் நீங்கள் குடியிருப்பதற்காக நான் உங்களைக் கொண்டுபோகிற தேசம் உங்களைக் கக்கிப்போடாதபடிக்கு, நீங்கள் என் கட்டளைகள் யாவையும் என்னுடைய நியாயங்கள் யாவையும் கைக்கொண்டு நடவுங்கள்.

22. 'And ye have kept all My statutes, and all My judgments, and have done them, and the land vomiteth you not out whither I am bringing you in to dwell in it;

23. நான் உங்களுக்கு முன்பாகத் துரத்திவிடுகிற ஜனத்தினுடைய வழிபாடுகளில் நடவாதிருங்கள்; அவர்கள் இப்படிப்பட்ட காரியங்களையெல்லாம் செய்தபடியால் நான் அவர்களை அரோசித்தேன்.

23. and ye walk not in the statutes of the nation which I am sending away from before you, for all these they have done, and I am wearied with them;

24. நீங்கள் அவர்கள் தேசத்தைச் சுதந்தரிப்பீர்கள் என்று உங்களோடே சொன்னேன்; பாலும் தேனும் ஒடுகிற அந்த தேசத்தை உங்களுக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுப்பேன்; உங்களை மற்ற ஜனங்களை விட்டுப் பிரித்தெடுத்த உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் நானே.

24. and I say to you, Ye -- ye do possess their ground, and I -- I give it to you to possess it, a land flowing with milk and honey; I [am] Jehovah your God, who hath separated you from the peoples.

25. ஆகையால் சுத்தமான மிருகங்களுக்கும் அசுத்தமான மிருகங்களுக்கும், சுத்தமான பறவைகளுக்கும் அசுத்தமான பறவைகளுக்கும் நீங்கள் வித்தியாசம்பண்ணி, நான் உங்களுக்குத் தீட்டாக எண்ணச்சொல்லி விலக்கின மிருகங்களாலும் பறவைகளாலும் தரையிலே ஊருகிற யாதொரு பிராணிகளாலும் உங்களை அருவருப்பாக்காதிருப்பீர்களாக.

25. 'And ye have made separation between the pure beasts and the unclean, and between the unclean fowl and the pure, and ye do not make yourselves abominable by beast or by fowl, or by anything which creepeth [on] the ground which I have separated to you for unclean;

26. கர்த்தராகிய நான் பரிசுத்தராயிருக்கிறபடியினாலே நீங்களும் எனக்கேற்ற பரிசுத்தவான்களாயிருப்பீர்களாக; நீங்கள் என்னுடையவர்களாயிருக்கும்படிக்கு, உங்களை மற்ற ஜனங்களைவிட்டுப் பிரித்தெடுத்தேன்.

26. and ye have been holy to Me; for holy [am] I, Jehovah; and I separate you from the peoples to become Mine.

27. அஞ்சனம் பார்க்கிறவர்களும் குறிசொல்லுகிறவர்களுமாயிருக்கிற புருஷனாகிலும் ஸ்திரீயாகிலும் கொலைசெய்யப்படவேண்டும்; அவர்கள்மேல் கல்லெறிவார்களாக; அவர்கள் இரத்தப்பழி அவர்கள்மேல் இருக்கக்கடவது என்று சொல் என்றார்.

27. 'And a man or woman -- when there is in them a familiar spirit, or who [are] wizards -- are certainly put to death; with stones they stone them; their blood [is] on them.'
