2. 'Speak to the entire community of Isra'el; tell them, 'You people are to be holy because I, ADONAI your God, am holy.

4. ''Do not turn to idols, and do not cast metal gods for yourselves; I am ADONAI your God.

5. நீங்கள் சமாதானபலியைக் கர்த்தருக்குச் செலுத்தினால், அதை மனோற்சாகமாய்ச் செலுத்துங்கள்.

5. ''When you offer a sacrifice of peace offerings to ADONAI, offer it in a way that will make you accepted.

6. நீங்கள் அதைச் செலுத்துகிற நாளிலும் மறுநாளிலும் அதைப் புசிக்கவேண்டும்; மூன்றாம் நாள்மட்டும் மீதியானது அக்கினியிலே சுட்டெரிக்கப்படக்கடவது.

6. It is to be eaten the same day you offer it and the following day; but if any of it remains until the third day, it is to be burned up completely.

7. மூன்றாம் நாளில் அதில் ஏதாகிலும் புசிக்கப்பட்டால் அருவருப்பாயிருக்கும்; அது அங்கிகரிக்கப்படமாட்டாது.

7. If any of it is eaten on the third day, it will have become a disgusting thing and will not be accepted;

8. moreover, everyone who eats it will bear the consequences of profaning something holy meant for ADONAI- that person will be cut off from his people.

9. ''When you harvest the ripe crops produced in your land, don't harvest all the way to corners of your field, and don't gather the ears of grain left by the harvesters.

10. Likewise, don't gather the grapes left on the vine or fallen on the ground after harvest; leave them for the poor and the foreigner; I am ADONAI your God.

11. நீங்கள் களவுசெய்யாமலும், வஞ்சனைபண்ணாமலும், ஒருவருக்கொருவர் பொய் சொல்லாமலும் இருங்கள்.

11. ''Do not steal from, defraud or lie to each other.

12. என் நாமத்தைக்கொண்டு பொய்யாணையிடுகிறதினால், உங்கள் தேவனுடைய நாமத்தைப் பரிசுத்தக்குலைச்சலாக்காமலும் இருப்பீர்களாக; நான் கர்த்தர்.

12. Do not swear by my name falsely, which would be profaning the name of your God; I am [ADONAI.]

13. Do not oppress or rob your neighbor; specifically, you are not to keep back the wages of a hired worker all night until morning.

14. ''Do not speak a curse against a deaf person or place an obstacle in the way of a blind person; rather, fear your God; I am ADONAI.

15. நியாயவிசாரணையில் அநியாயம் செய்யாதிருங்கள்; சிறியவனுக்கு முகதாட்சிணியம் செய்யாமலும், பெரியவனுடைய முகத்துக்கு அஞ்சாமலும், நீதியாகப் பிறனுக்கு நியாயந்தீர்ப்பாயாக.

15. ''Do not be unjust in judging- show neither partiality to the poor nor deference to the mighty, but with justice judge your neighbor.

18. Don't take vengeance on or bear a grudge against any of your people; rather, love your neighbor as yourself; I am ADONAI.

19. ''Observe my regulations. ''Don't let your livestock mate with those of another kind, don't sow your field with two different kinds of grain, and don't wear a garment of cloth made with two different kinds of thread.

20. ''If a man has sexual relations with a woman who is a slave intended for another man, and she has neither been redeemed nor given her freedom, there is to be an investigation. They are not to be put to death, because she was not free.

21. In reparation he is to bring a ram as a guilt offering for himself to the entrance of the tent of meeting.

22. அதினாலே ஆசாரியன் அவன் செய்த பாவத்தினிமித்தம் அவனுக்காகக் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யக்கடவன்; அப்பொழுது அவன் செய்த பாவம் அவனுக்கு மன்னிக்கப்படும்.

22. The [cohen] will make atonement for him with the ram of the guilt offering before ADONAI for the sin he committed, and he will be forgiven for the sin he committed.

23. நீங்கள் அந்த தேசத்தில் வந்து, புசிக்கத்தக்க கனிகளைத் தருகிற பலவித மரங்களை நாட்டினபின்பு அவைகளின் கனிகளை விருத்தசேதனமில்லாதவைகளென்று எண்ணுவீர்களாக; மூன்று வருஷம் அது புசிக்கப்படாமல், விருத்தசேதனமில்லாததாய் உங்களுக்கு எண்ணப்படவேண்டும்.

23. ''When you enter the land and plant various kinds of fruit trees, you are to regard its fruit as forbidden- for three years it will be forbidden to you and not eaten.

24. பின்பு நாலாம் வருஷத்திலே அவைகளின் கனிகளெல்லாம் கர்த்தருக்குத் துதிசெலுத்துகிறதற்கேற்ற பரிசுத்தமாயிருக்கும்.

24. In the fourth year all its fruit will be holy, for praising ADONAI.

25. ஐந்தாம் வருஷத்திலே அவைகளின் கனிகளைப் புசிக்கலாம்; இப்படி அவைகளின் பலன் உங்களுக்குப் பெருகும்; நான் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர்.

25. But in the fifth year you may eat its fruit, so that it will produce even more for you; I am ADONAI your God.

26. யாதொன்றையும் இரத்தத்துடன் புசிக்கவேண்டாம். குறிகேளாமலும், நாள்பாராமலும் இருப்பீர்களாக.

26. ''Do not eat anything with blood. Do not practice divination or fortune-telling.

27. உங்கள் தலைமயிரைச் சுற்றி ஒதுக்காமலும், தாடியின் ஓரங்களைக் கத்தரிக்காமலும்,

27. Don't round your hair at the temples or mar the edges of your beard.

28. செத்தவனுக்காக உங்கள் சரீரத்தைக் கீறிக்கொள்ளாமலும், அடையாளமான எழுத்துக்களை உங்கள்மேல் குத்திக்கொள்ளாமலும் இருப்பீர்களாக; நான் கர்த்தர்.

28. Don't cut gashes in your flesh when someone dies or tattoo yourselves; I am [ADONAI.]

29. தேசத்தார் வேசித்தனம்பண்ணி தேசமெங்கும் முறைகேடான பாவம் நிறையாதபடிக்கு உன் குமாரத்தியை வேசித்தனம்பண்ண விடுகிறதினாலே பரிசுத்தக் குலைச்சலாக்காயாக.

29. ''Do not debase your daughter by making her a prostitute, so that the land will not fall into prostitution and become full of shame.

30. என் ஓய்வுநாட்களை ஆசரித்து, என் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தைக்குறித்துப் பயபக்தியாயிருப்பீர்களாக; நான் கர்த்தர்.

30. ''Keep my [Shabbat]s, and revere my sanctuary; I am ADONAI.

31. அஞ்சனம் பார்க்கிறவர்களை நாடி, குறிசொல்லுகிறவர்களைத் தேடாதிருங்கள்; அவர்களாலே தீட்டுப்படவேண்டாம்; நான் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர்.

31. ''Do not turn to spirit-mediums or sorcerers; don't seek them out, to be defiled by them; I am ADONAI your God.

32. நரைத்தவனுக்கு முன்பாக எழுந்து, முதிர்வயதுள்ளவன் முகத்தைக் கனம்பண்ணி, உன் தேவனுக்குப் பயப்படுவாயாக; நான் கர்த்தர்.

32. ''Stand up in the presence of a person with gray hair, show respect for the old; you are to fear your God; I am ADONAI.

33. யாதொரு அந்நியன் உங்கள் தேசத்தில் உங்களோடே தங்கினால், அவனைச் சிறுமைப்படுத்தவேண்டாம்.

33. ''If a foreigner stays with you in your land, do not do him wrong.

34. உங்களிடத்தில் வாசம்பண்ணுகிற அந்நியனைச் சுதேசிபோல எண்ணி, நீங்கள் உங்களில் அன்புகூருகிறதுபோல அவனிலும் அன்புகூருவீர்களாக; நீங்களும் எகிப்துதேசத்தில் அந்நியராயிருந்தீர்களே; நான் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர்.

34. Rather, treat the foreigner staying with you like the native-born among you- you are to love him as yourself, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt; I am ADONAI your God.

35. நியாயவிசாரணையிலும், அளவிலும், நிறையிலும், படியிலும் அநியாயம் செய்யாதிருப்பீர்களாக.

35. ''Don't be dishonest when measuring length, weight or capacity.

36. சுமுத்திரையான தராசும், சுமுத்திரையான நிறைகல்லும், சுமுத்திரையான மரக்காலும், சுமுத்திரையான படியும் உங்களுக்கு இருக்கவேண்டும்; நான் உங்களை எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணின உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர்.

36. Rather, use an honest balance-scale, honest weights, an honest bushel dry[-]measure and an honest gallon liquid-measure; I am ADONAI your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.

37. ஆகையால் என்னுடைய கட்டளைகள் யாவையும் என்னுடைய நியாயங்கள் யாவையும் கைக்கொண்டு, அவைகளின்படி நடக்கக்கடவீர்கள்; நான் கர்த்தர் என்று சொல் என்றார்.
