1. பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

1. And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

2. நீ ஆரோனோடும் அவன் குமாரரோடும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் அனைவரோடும் சொல்லவேண்டியதாவது; கர்த்தர் கட்டளையிடுகிறது என்னவென்றால்:

2. Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them, This is the thing which Jehovah hath commanded, saying,

3. இஸ்ரவேல் குடும்பத்தாரில் எவனாகிலும் மாட்டையாவது செம்மறியாட்டையாவது வெள்ளாட்டையாவது ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரவாசலாகிய கர்த்தருடைய வாசஸ்தலத்துக்கு முன்பாக, கர்த்தருக்குச் செலுத்தும்படி கொண்டுவராமல்,

3. Every one of the house of Israel that slaughtereth an ox, or sheep, or goat, in the camp, or that slaughtereth it out of the camp,

4. பாளயத்துக்குள்ளேயாகிலும் பாளயத்துக்குப் புறம்பேயாகிலும் அதைக் கொன்றால், அது அந்த மனிதனுக்கு இரத்தப்பழியாக எண்ணப்படும் அந்த மனிதன் இரத்தம் சிந்தினபடியால், தன் ஜனத்தில் இராமல் அறுப்புண்டுபோவான்.

4. and doth not bring it to the entrance of the tent of meeting to present it as an offering to Jehovah, before the tabernacle of Jehovah, blood shall be reckoned unto that man: he hath shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people,

5. ஆகையால் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் வெளியிலே பலியிடுகிற தங்கள் பலிகளை, ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரவாசலில் ஆசாரியனிடத்தில் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் கொண்டுவந்து, அங்கே அவைகளைக் கர்த்தருக்குச் சமாதானபலிகளாகச் செலுத்தக்கடவர்கள்.

5. to the end that the children of Israel bring their sacrifices, which they sacrifice in the open field, that they bring them to Jehovah, unto the entrance of the tent of meeting, unto the priest, and sacrifice them as sacrifices of peace-offerings to Jehovah.

6. அங்கே ஆசாரியன் இரத்தத்தை ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரவாசலிலிருக்கிற கர்த்தருடைய பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் தெளித்து, கொழுப்பைக் கர்த்தருக்குச் சுகந்த வாசனையாகத் தகனிக்கக்கடவன்.

6. And the priest shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar of Jehovah, at the entrance of the tent of meeting, and burn the fat for a sweet odour to Jehovah.

7. தாங்கள் சோரமார்க்கமாய்ப் பின்பற்றுகிற பேய்களுக்குத் தங்கள் பலிகளை இனிச் செலுத்தாதிருப்பார்களாக; இது அவர்கள் தலைமுறைதோறும் அவர்களுக்கு நித்திய கட்டளையாயிருக்கக்கடவது.

7. And they shall no more sacrifice their sacrifices unto demons, after whom they go a whoring. This shall be an everlasting statute unto them for their generations.

8. மேலும் நீ அவர்களை நோக்கி: இஸ்ரவேல் குடும்பத்தாரிலும் உங்கள் நடுவே தங்குகிற அந்நியர்களிலும் எவனாகிலும் சர்வாங்கதகனபலி முதலானவைகளையிட்டு,

8. And thou shalt say unto them, Every one of the house of Israel, and of the strangers who sojourn among them, that offereth up a burnt-offering or sacrifice,

9. அதை ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரவாசலிலே கர்த்தருக்குச் செலுத்தும்படி கொண்டுவராவிட்டால், அவன் தன் ஜனத்தில் இராமல் அறுப்புண்டுபோவான் என்று சொல்.

9. and bringeth it not to the entrance of the tent of meeting, to offer it up to Jehovah -- that man shall be cut off from his peoples.

10. இஸ்ரவேல் குடும்பத்தாரிலும் உங்களுக்குள் தங்கும் அந்நியர்களிலும் எவனாகிலும் இரத்தம் என்னப்பட்டதைப் புசித்தால், இரத்தத்தைப் புசித்த அவனுக்கு விரோதமாக நான் என் முகத்தைத் திருப்பி, அவன் தன் ஜனத்தில் இராதபடிக்கு அவனை அறுப்புண்டுபோகப்பண்ணுவேன்.

10. And every one of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who sojourn among them, that eateth any manner of blood, -- I will set my face against the soul that hath eaten blood, and will cut him off from among his people;

11. மாம்சத்தின் உயிர் இரத்தத்தில் இருக்கிறது; நான் அதை உங்களுக்குப் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் உங்கள் ஆத்துமாக்களுக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யும்படிக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டேன்; ஆத்துமாவிற்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்கிறது இரத்தமே.

11. for the soul of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that maketh atonement for the soul.

12. அதினிமித்தம் உங்களில் ஒருவனும் இரத்தம் புசிக்கவேண்டாம், உங்கள் நடுவே தங்குகிற அந்நியனும் இரத்தம் புசிக்கவேண்டாம் என்று இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குச் சொன்னேன்.

12. Therefore have I said unto the children of Israel, No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall the stranger who sojourneth among you eat blood.

13. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரிலும் உங்களுக்குள் தங்குகிற அந்நியர்களிலும் எவனாகிலும் புசிக்கத்தக்க ஒரு மிருகத்தையாவது ஒரு பட்சியையாவது வேட்டையாடிப் பிடித்தால், அவன் அதின் இரத்தத்தைச் சிந்தப்பண்ணி, மண்ணினால் அதை மூடக்கடவன்.

13. And every one of the children of Israel, and of the strangers who sojourn among them, that catcheth in the hunt a beast or fowl that may be eaten, he shall pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with earth;

14. சகல மாம்சத்துக்கும் இரத்தம் உயிராயிருக்கிறது; இரத்தம் ஜீவனுக்குச் சமானம்; ஆகையால் எந்த மாம்சத்தின் இரத்தத்தையும் புசிக்கவேண்டாம்; சகல மாம்சத்தின் உயிரும் அதின் இரத்தந்தானே; அதைப் புசிக்கிற எவனும் அறுப்புண்டுபோவான் என்று இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குச் சொன்னேன்.

14. for as to the life of all flesh, its blood is the life in it; and I have said unto the children of Israel, Of the blood of no manner of flesh shall ye eat, for the life of all flesh is its blood: whoever eateth it shall be cut off.

15. தானாய் இறந்துபோனதையாவது, பீறுண்டதையாவது, புசித்தவன் எவனும் அவன் சுதேசியானாலும் பரதேசியானாலும், தன் வஸ்திரங்களைச் தோய்த்து, தண்ணீரில் முழுகி, சாயங்காலம்மட்டும் தீட்டாயிருப்பானாக; பின்பு சுத்தமாயிருப்பான்.

15. And every soul that eateth of a dead carcase, or of that which was torn, be it one home-born, or a stranger, he shall wash his clothes, and bathe in water, and be unclean until the even: then he shall be clean.

16. அவன் தன் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தோய்க்காமலும், ஸ்நானம்பண்ணாமலும் இருந்தால், தன் அக்கிரமத்தைச் சுமப்பான் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

16. And if he wash them not nor bathe his flesh, then he shall bear his iniquity.
