1. பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

1. The LORD spoke to Moshe, saying,

2. நீ ஆரோனோடும் அவன் குமாரரோடும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் அனைவரோடும் சொல்லவேண்டியதாவது; கர்த்தர் கட்டளையிடுகிறது என்னவென்றால்:

2. 'Speak to Aharon, and to his sons, and to all the children of Yisra'el, and say to them: 'This is the thing which the LORD has commanded,

3. இஸ்ரவேல் குடும்பத்தாரில் எவனாகிலும் மாட்டையாவது செம்மறியாட்டையாவது வெள்ளாட்டையாவது ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரவாசலாகிய கர்த்தருடைய வாசஸ்தலத்துக்கு முன்பாக, கர்த்தருக்குச் செலுத்தும்படி கொண்டுவராமல்,

3. Whatever man there is of the house of Yisra'el, who kills an ox, or lamb, or goat, in the camp, or who kills it outside the camp,

4. பாளயத்துக்குள்ளேயாகிலும் பாளயத்துக்குப் புறம்பேயாகிலும் அதைக் கொன்றால், அது அந்த மனிதனுக்கு இரத்தப்பழியாக எண்ணப்படும் அந்த மனிதன் இரத்தம் சிந்தினபடியால், தன் ஜனத்தில் இராமல் அறுப்புண்டுபோவான்.

4. and hasn't brought it to the door of the Tent of Meeting, to offer it as an offering to the LORD before the tabernacle of the LORD: blood shall be imputed to that man. He has shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people.

5. ஆகையால் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் வெளியிலே பலியிடுகிற தங்கள் பலிகளை, ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரவாசலில் ஆசாரியனிடத்தில் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் கொண்டுவந்து, அங்கே அவைகளைக் கர்த்தருக்குச் சமாதானபலிகளாகச் செலுத்தக்கடவர்கள்.

5. This is to the end that the children of Yisra'el may bring their sacrifices, which they sacrifice in the open field, that they may bring them to the LORD, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, to the Kohen, and sacrifice them for sacrifices of shalom offerings to the LORD.

6. அங்கே ஆசாரியன் இரத்தத்தை ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரவாசலிலிருக்கிற கர்த்தருடைய பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் தெளித்து, கொழுப்பைக் கர்த்தருக்குச் சுகந்த வாசனையாகத் தகனிக்கக்கடவன்.

6. The Kohen shall sprinkle the blood on the altar of the LORD at the door of the Tent of Meeting, and burn the fat for a sweet savor to the LORD.

7. தாங்கள் சோரமார்க்கமாய்ப் பின்பற்றுகிற பேய்களுக்குத் தங்கள் பலிகளை இனிச் செலுத்தாதிருப்பார்களாக; இது அவர்கள் தலைமுறைதோறும் அவர்களுக்கு நித்திய கட்டளையாயிருக்கக்கடவது.

7. They shall no more sacrifice their sacrifices to the goat idols, after which they play the prostitute. This shall be a statute forever to them throughout their generations.'

8. மேலும் நீ அவர்களை நோக்கி: இஸ்ரவேல் குடும்பத்தாரிலும் உங்கள் நடுவே தங்குகிற அந்நியர்களிலும் எவனாகிலும் சர்வாங்கதகனபலி முதலானவைகளையிட்டு,

8. 'You shall say to them, 'Any man there is of the house of Yisra'el, or of the strangers who live as foreigners among them, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice,

9. அதை ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரவாசலிலே கர்த்தருக்குச் செலுத்தும்படி கொண்டுவராவிட்டால், அவன் தன் ஜனத்தில் இராமல் அறுப்புண்டுபோவான் என்று சொல்.

9. and doesn't bring it to the door of the Tent of Meeting, to sacrifice it to the LORD; that man shall be cut off from his people.

10. இஸ்ரவேல் குடும்பத்தாரிலும் உங்களுக்குள் தங்கும் அந்நியர்களிலும் எவனாகிலும் இரத்தம் என்னப்பட்டதைப் புசித்தால், இரத்தத்தைப் புசித்த அவனுக்கு விரோதமாக நான் என் முகத்தைத் திருப்பி, அவன் தன் ஜனத்தில் இராதபடிக்கு அவனை அறுப்புண்டுபோகப்பண்ணுவேன்.

10. ''Any man of the house of Yisra'el, or of the strangers who live as foreigners among them, who eats any kind of blood, I will set my face against that soul who eats blood, and will cut him off from among his people.

11. For the life of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that makes atonement by reason of the life.

12. அதினிமித்தம் உங்களில் ஒருவனும் இரத்தம் புசிக்கவேண்டாம், உங்கள் நடுவே தங்குகிற அந்நியனும் இரத்தம் புசிக்கவேண்டாம் என்று இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குச் சொன்னேன்.

12. Therefore I have said to the children of Yisra'el, 'No person among you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger who lives as a foreigner among you eat blood.'

13. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரிலும் உங்களுக்குள் தங்குகிற அந்நியர்களிலும் எவனாகிலும் புசிக்கத்தக்க ஒரு மிருகத்தையாவது ஒரு பட்சியையாவது வேட்டையாடிப் பிடித்தால், அவன் அதின் இரத்தத்தைச் சிந்தப்பண்ணி, மண்ணினால் அதை மூடக்கடவன்.

13. ''Whatever man there is of the children of Yisra'el, or of the strangers who live as foreigners among them, who takes in hunting any animal or bird that may be eaten; he shall pour out its blood, and cover it with dust.

14. சகல மாம்சத்துக்கும் இரத்தம் உயிராயிருக்கிறது; இரத்தம் ஜீவனுக்குச் சமானம்; ஆகையால் எந்த மாம்சத்தின் இரத்தத்தையும் புசிக்கவேண்டாம்; சகல மாம்சத்தின் உயிரும் அதின் இரத்தந்தானே; அதைப் புசிக்கிற எவனும் அறுப்புண்டுபோவான் என்று இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குச் சொன்னேன்.

14. For as to the life of all flesh, its blood is with its life: therefore I said to the children of Yisra'el, 'You shall not eat the blood of any kind of flesh; for the life of all flesh is its blood. Whoever eats it shall be cut off.'

15. தானாய் இறந்துபோனதையாவது, பீறுண்டதையாவது, புசித்தவன் எவனும் அவன் சுதேசியானாலும் பரதேசியானாலும், தன் வஸ்திரங்களைச் தோய்த்து, தண்ணீரில் முழுகி, சாயங்காலம்மட்டும் தீட்டாயிருப்பானாக; பின்பு சுத்தமாயிருப்பான்.

15. 'Every person that eats what dies of itself, or that which is torn by animals, whether he is native-born or a foreigner, he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the evening: then he shall be clean.

16. அவன் தன் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தோய்க்காமலும், ஸ்நானம்பண்ணாமலும் இருந்தால், தன் அக்கிரமத்தைச் சுமப்பான் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

16. But if he doesn't wash them, or bathe his flesh, then he shall bear his iniquity.''
