1. அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: நான் பார்வோனுக்குச் செய்வதை இப்பொழுது காண்பாய்; பலத்த கையைக் கண்டு அவர்களைப் போகவிட்டு, பலத்த கையைக் கண்டு அவர்களைத் தன் தேசத்திலிருந்து துரத்திவிடுவான் என்றார்.

1. ADONAI said to Moshe, 'Now you will see what I am going to do to Pharaoh. With a mighty hand he will send them off; with force he will drive them from the land!'

2. மேலும், தேவன் மோசேயை நோக்கி: நான் யேகோவா,

2. God spoke to Moshe; he said to him, 'I am ADONAI.

3. சர்வல்லமையுள்ள தேவன் என்னும் நாமத்தினால் நான் ஆபிரகாமுக்கும் ஈசாக்குக்கும் யாக்கோபுக்கும் தரிசனமானேன்; ஆனாலும் யேகோவா என்னும் என் நாமத்தினால் நான் அவர்களுக்கு அறியப்படவில்லை.

3. I appeared to Avraham, Yitz'chak and Ya'akov as [El Shaddai], although I did not make myself known to them by my name, [Yud-Heh-Vav-Heh] [[ADONAI]].

4. Also with them I established my covenant to give them the land of Kena'an, the land where they wandered about and lived as foreigners.

5. Moreover, I have heard the groaning of the people of Isra'el, whom the Egyptians are keeping in slavery; and I have remembered my covenant.

6. 'Therefore, say to the people of Isra'el: 'I am ADONAI. I will free you from the forced labor of the Egyptians, rescue you from their oppression, and redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.

7. உங்களை எனக்கு ஜனங்களாகச் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு, உங்களுக்கு தேவனாயிருப்பேன்; உங்கள்மேல் எகிப்தியர் சுமத்தின சுமைகளை நீக்கி உங்களை விடுவிக்கிற உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் நான் என்று அறிவீர்கள்.

7. I will take you as my people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am ADONAI your God, who freed you from the forced labor of the Egyptians.

8. ஆபிரகாமுக்கும் ஈசாக்குக்கும் யாக்கோபுக்கும் கொடுப்பேன் என்று நான் ஆணையிட்ட தேசத்தில் உங்களைக் கொண்டுபோய், அதை உங்களுக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுப்பேன்; நான் கர்த்தர் என்று அவர்களுக்குச் சொல் என்றார்.

8. I will bring you into the land which I swore to give to Avraham, Yitz'chak and Ya'akov- I will give it to you as your inheritance. I am ADONAI.''

9. இந்தப்பிரகாரமாக மோசே இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குச் சொன்னான்; அவர்களோ மனமடிவினாலும் கொடுமையான வேலையினாலும் மோசேக்குச் செவிகொடாமற்போனார்கள்.

9. Moshe said this to the people of Isra'el. But they wouldn't listen to him, because they were so discouraged, and their slavery was so cruel.

10. பின்பு, கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

10. ADONAI said to Moshe,

11. நீ எகிப்தின் ராஜாவாகிய பார்வோனிடத்தில் போய், அவன் தன் தேசத்திலிருந்து இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரைப் போகவிடும்படி அவனோடே பேசு என்றார்.

11. 'Go in; and tell Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to let the people of Isra'el leave his land.'

12. மோசே கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதானத்தில் நின்று, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரே எனக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கவில்லை; பார்வோன் எனக்கு எப்படிச் செவிகொடுப்பான்? நான் விருத்தசேதனமில்லாத உதடுகளுள்ளவன் என்றான்.

12. Moshe said to ADONAI, 'Look, the people of Isra'el haven't listened to me; so how will Pharaoh listen to me, poor speaker that I am?'

13. கர்த்தர் மோசேயோடும் ஆரோனோடும் பேசி, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரை எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து அழைத்துக்கொண்டு போகும்படிக்கு, அவர்களை இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரிடத்துக்கும் எகிப்தின் ராஜாவாகிய பார்வோனிடத்துக்கும் கட்டளை கொடுத்து அனுப்பினார்.

13. But ADONAI spoke to Moshe and Aharon and gave them orders concerning both the people of Isra'el and Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to bring the people of Isra'el out of the land of Egypt.

14. அவர்களுடைய பிதாக்கள் வீட்டாரின் தலைவர் யாரென்றால், இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு முதல் பிறந்தவனாகிய ரூபனுடைய குமாரர் ஆனோக்கு, பல்லூ, எஸ்ரோன், கர்மீ; இவர்கள் ரூபனுடைய வம்சங்களின் தலைவர்.

14. These were the heads of their families: the sons of Re'uven the firstborn of Isra'el were Hanokh, Pallu, Hetzron and Karmi. These were the families of Re'uven.

15. சிமியோனின் குமாரர் எமுவேல், யாமின், ஓகாத், யாகீன், சோகார், கானானிய ஸ்திரீயின் குமாரனாகிய சவுல்; சிமியோனுடைய வம்சங்களின் தலைவர் இவர்களே.

15. The sons of Shim'on were Y'mu'el, Yamin, Ohad, Yakhin, Tzochar and Sha'ul the son of a Kena'ani woman. These were the families of Shim'on.

16. உற்பத்திக்கிரமப்படி பிறந்த லேவியின் குமாரருடைய நாமங்களாவன, கெர்சோன், கோகாத், மெராரி என்பவைகள். லேவி நூற்றுமுப்பத்தேழு வருஷம் உயிரோடிருந்தான்.

16. These are the names of the sons of Levi with their descendants: Gershon, K'hat and M'rari. Levi lived to be 137 years old.

17. அவரவர் வம்சங்களின்படி பிறந்த கெர்சோனின் குமாரர் லிப்னீ, சிமேயீ என்பவர்கள்.

17. The sons of Gershon were Livni and Shim'i, with their families.

18. கோகாத்தின் குமாரர் அம்ராம், இத்சேயார், எப்ரோன், ஊசியேல் என்பவர்கள்; கோகாத் நூற்றுமுப்பத்துமூன்று வருஷம் உயிரோடிருந்தான்.

18. The sons of K'hat were 'Amram, Yitz'har, Hevron and 'Uzi'el. K'hat lived to be 133 years old.

19. மெராரியின் குமாரர் மகேலி, மூசி என்பவர்கள்; அவரவர் சந்ததியின்படி லேவியினுடைய வம்சங்களின் தலைவர் இவர்களே.

19. The sons of M'rari were Machli and Mushi. These were the families of Levi with their descendants.

20. அம்ராம் தன் அத்தையாகிய யோகெபேத்தை விவாகம்பண்ணினான்; அவள் அவனுக்கு ஆரோனையும் மோசேயையும் பெற்றாள்; அம்ராம் நூற்றுமுப்பத்தேழு வருஷம் உயிரோடிருந்தான்.

20. 'Amram married Yokheved his father's sister, and she bore him Aharon and Moshe. 'Amram lived to be 137 years old.

21. இத்சேயாரின் குமாரர் கோராகு, நெப்பேக், சித்ரி என்பவர்கள்.

21. The sons of Yitz'har were Korach, Nefeg and Zikhri.

22. ஊசியேலின் குமாரர் மீசவேல், எல்சாபான், சித்ரி என்பவர்கள்.

22. The sons of 'Uzi'el were Misha'el, Eltzafan and Sitri.

23. ஆரோன் அம்மினதாபின் குமாரத்தியும் நகசோனின் சகோதரியுமாகிய எலிசபாளை விவாகம் பண்ணினான்; இவள் அவனுக்கு நாதாபையும், அபியூவையும், எலேயாசாரையும், இத்தாமாரையும் பெற்றாள்.

23. Aharon married Elisheva daughter of 'Amminadav and sister of Nachshon, and she bore him Nadav, Avihu, El'azar and Itamar.

24. கோராகின் குமாரர் ஆசீர், எல்க்கானா, அபியாசாப் என்பவர்கள்; கோராகியரின் வம்சத்தலைவர் இவர்களே.

24. The sons of Korach were Asir, Elkanah and Avi'asaf. These were the Korchi families.

25. ஆரோனின் குமாரனாகிய எலெயாசார் பூத்தியேலுடைய குமாரத்திகளில் ஒருத்தியை விவாகம் பண்ணினான், அவள் அவனுக்குப் பினெகாசைப் பெற்றாள்; அவரவர் வம்சங்களின்படி லேவியருடைய பிதாக்களாகிய தலைவர் இவர்களே.

25. El'azar the son of Aharon married one of the daughters of Puti'el, and she bore him Pinchas. These were the heads of the families of Levi, family by family.

26. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரை அணியணியாய் எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து நடத்திக்கொண்டு போவதற்குக் கர்த்தரால் கட்டளைபெற்ற ஆரோனும் மோசேயும் இவர்களே.

26. These are the Aharon and Moshe to whom ADONAI said, 'Bring the people of Isra'el out of the land of Egypt, division by division,'

27. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரை எகிப்திலிருந்து நடத்திக்கொண்டுபோவதற்கு, எகிப்தின் ராஜாவாகிய பார்வோனோடே பேசின மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் இவர்களே.

27. and who told Pharaoh king of Egypt, to let the people of Isra'el leave Egypt. These are the same Moshe and Aharon.

28. கர்த்தர் எகிப்துதேசத்திலே மோசேயோடே பேசின நாளில்;

28. On the day when ADONAI spoke to Moshe in the land of Egypt,

29. கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: நானே கர்த்தர்; நான் உன்னோடே சொல்லுகிறவைகளையெல்லாம் நீ எகிப்து ராஜாவாகிய பார்வோனுக்குச் சொல் என்று சொன்னபோது,

29. he said, 'I am ADONAI. Tell Pharaoh, king of Egypt, everything I say to you.'

30. மோசே கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதானத்தில்: நான் விருத்தசேதனமில்லாத உதடுகளுள்ளவன்; பார்வோன் எனக்கு எப்படிச் செவிகொடுப்பான் என்றான்.

30. Moshe answered ADONAI, 'Look, I'm such a poor speaker that Pharaoh won't listen to me.'
