1. The LORD God told Moses: Soon you will see what I will do to the king. Because of my mighty power, he will let my people go, and he will even chase them out of his country.

2. My name is the LORD.

3. But when I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, I came as God All-Powerful and did not use my name.

4. I made an agreement and promised them the land of Canaan, where they were living as foreigners.

5. Now I have seen how the people of Israel are suffering because of the Egyptians, and I will keep my promise.

6. Here is my message for Israel: 'I am the LORD! And with my mighty power I will punish the Egyptians and free you from slavery.

7. I will accept you as my people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I was the one who rescued you from the Egyptians.

8. I will bring you into the land that I solemnly promised Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and it will be yours. I am the LORD!'

9. When Moses told this to the Israelites, they were too discouraged and mistreated to believe him.

10. பின்பு, கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

10. Then the LORD told Moses

11. நீ எகிப்தின் ராஜாவாகிய பார்வோனிடத்தில் போய், அவன் தன் தேசத்திலிருந்து இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரைப் போகவிடும்படி அவனோடே பேசு என்றார்.

11. to demand that the king of Egypt let the Israelites leave.

12. மோசே கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதானத்தில் நின்று, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரே எனக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கவில்லை; பார்வோன் எனக்கு எப்படிச் செவிகொடுப்பான்? நான் விருத்தசேதனமில்லாத உதடுகளுள்ளவன் என்றான்.

12. But Moses replied, 'I'm not a powerful speaker. If the Israelites won't listen to me, why should the king of Egypt?'

13. கர்த்தர் மோசேயோடும் ஆரோனோடும் பேசி, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரை எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து அழைத்துக்கொண்டு போகும்படிக்கு, அவர்களை இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரிடத்துக்கும் எகிப்தின் ராஜாவாகிய பார்வோனிடத்துக்கும் கட்டளை கொடுத்து அனுப்பினார்.

13. But the LORD sent Aaron and Moses with a message for the Israelites and for the king; he also ordered Aaron and Moses to free the people from Egypt.

14. அவர்களுடைய பிதாக்கள் வீட்டாரின் தலைவர் யாரென்றால், இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு முதல் பிறந்தவனாகிய ரூபனுடைய குமாரர் ஆனோக்கு, பல்லூ, எஸ்ரோன், கர்மீ; இவர்கள் ரூபனுடைய வம்சங்களின் தலைவர்.

14. The following men were the heads of their ancestral clans: The sons of Reuben, Jacob's oldest son, were Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.

15. சிமியோனின் குமாரர் எமுவேல், யாமின், ஓகாத், யாகீன், சோகார், கானானிய ஸ்திரீயின் குமாரனாகிய சவுல்; சிமியோனுடைய வம்சங்களின் தலைவர் இவர்களே.

15. The sons of Simeon were Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul, the son of a Canaanite woman.

16. உற்பத்திக்கிரமப்படி பிறந்த லேவியின் குமாரருடைய நாமங்களாவன, கெர்சோன், கோகாத், மெராரி என்பவைகள். லேவி நூற்றுமுப்பத்தேழு வருஷம் உயிரோடிருந்தான்.

16. Levi lived to be one hundred thirty-seven; his sons were Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

17. அவரவர் வம்சங்களின்படி பிறந்த கெர்சோனின் குமாரர் லிப்னீ, சிமேயீ என்பவர்கள்.

17. Gershon's sons were Libni and Shimei.

18. கோகாத்தின் குமாரர் அம்ராம், இத்சேயார், எப்ரோன், ஊசியேல் என்பவர்கள்; கோகாத் நூற்றுமுப்பத்துமூன்று வருஷம் உயிரோடிருந்தான்.

18. Kohath lived to be one hundred thirty-three; his sons were Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.

19. மெராரியின் குமாரர் மகேலி, மூசி என்பவர்கள்; அவரவர் சந்ததியின்படி லேவியினுடைய வம்சங்களின் தலைவர் இவர்களே.

19. Merari's sons were Mahli and Mushi. All of the above were from the Levi tribe.

20. அம்ராம் தன் அத்தையாகிய யோகெபேத்தை விவாகம்பண்ணினான்; அவள் அவனுக்கு ஆரோனையும் மோசேயையும் பெற்றாள்; அம்ராம் நூற்றுமுப்பத்தேழு வருஷம் உயிரோடிருந்தான்.

20. Amram lived to be one hundred thirty-seven. He married his father's sister Jochebed, and they had two sons, Aaron and Moses.

21. இத்சேயாரின் குமாரர் கோராகு, நெப்பேக், சித்ரி என்பவர்கள்.

21. Izhar's sons were Korah, Nepheg, and Zichri.

22. ஊசியேலின் குமாரர் மீசவேல், எல்சாபான், சித்ரி என்பவர்கள்.

22. Uzziel's sons were Mishael, Elzaphan, and Sithri.

23. Aaron married Elisheba. She was the daughter of Amminadab and the sister of Nahshon; they had four sons, Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

24. கோராகின் குமாரர் ஆசீர், எல்க்கானா, அபியாசாப் என்பவர்கள்; கோராகியரின் வம்சத்தலைவர் இவர்களே.

24. Korah's sons were Assir, Elkanah, and Abiasaph.

25. ஆரோனின் குமாரனாகிய எலெயாசார் பூத்தியேலுடைய குமாரத்திகளில் ஒருத்தியை விவாகம் பண்ணினான், அவள் அவனுக்குப் பினெகாசைப் பெற்றாள்; அவரவர் வம்சங்களின்படி லேவியருடைய பிதாக்களாகிய தலைவர் இவர்களே.

25. Aaron's son Eleazar married one of Putiel's daughters, and their son was Phinehas. This ends the list of those who were the heads of clans in the Levi tribe.

26. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரை அணியணியாய் எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து நடத்திக்கொண்டு போவதற்குக் கர்த்தரால் கட்டளைபெற்ற ஆரோனும் மோசேயும் இவர்களே.

26. The LORD had commanded Aaron and Moses to lead every family and tribe of Israel out of Egypt,

27. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரை எகிப்திலிருந்து நடத்திக்கொண்டுபோவதற்கு, எகிப்தின் ராஜாவாகிய பார்வோனோடே பேசின மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் இவர்களே.

27. and so they ordered the king of Egypt to set the people of Israel free.

28. கர்த்தர் எகிப்துதேசத்திலே மோசேயோடே பேசின நாளில்;

28. When the LORD spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt,

29. கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: நானே கர்த்தர்; நான் உன்னோடே சொல்லுகிறவைகளையெல்லாம் நீ எகிப்து ராஜாவாகிய பார்வோனுக்குச் சொல் என்று சொன்னபோது,

29. he said, 'I am the LORD. Tell the king of Egypt everything I say to you.'

30. மோசே கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதானத்தில்: நான் விருத்தசேதனமில்லாத உதடுகளுள்ளவன்; பார்வோன் எனக்கு எப்படிச் செவிகொடுப்பான் என்றான்.

30. But Moses answered, 'You know I am a very poor speaker, and the king will never listen to me.'
