1. அப்பொழுது மோசே: அவர்கள் என்னை நம்பார்கள்; என் வாக்குக்குச் செவிகொடார்கள்; கர்த்தர் உனக்குத் தரிசனமாகவில்லை என்று சொல்லுவார்கள் என்றான்.

1. Moses asked the LORD, 'Suppose everyone refuses to listen to my message, and no one believes that you really appeared to me?'

2. கர்த்தர் அவனை நோக்கி: உன் கையிலிருக்கிறது என்ன என்றார். ஒரு கோல் என்றான்.

2. The LORD answered, 'What's that in your hand?' 'A walking stick,' Moses replied.

3. அதைத் தரையிலே போடு என்றார்; அவன் அதைத் தரையிலே போட்டபோது, அது சர்ப்பமாயிற்று; மோசே அதற்கு விலகியோடினான்.

3. Throw it down!' the LORD commanded. So Moses threw the stick on the ground. It immediately turned into a snake, and Moses jumped back.

4. அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: உன் கையை நீட்டி, அதின் வாலைப் பிடி என்றார்; அவன் தன் கையை நீட்டி, அதைப் பிடித்தபோது, அது அவன் கையிலே கோலாயிற்று.

4. Pick it up by the tail!' the LORD told him. And when Moses did this, the snake turned back into a walking stick.

5. ஆபிரகாமின் தேவனும் ஈசாக்கின் தேவனும் யாக்கோபின் தேவனுமாயிருக்கிற தங்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குத் தரிசனமானதை அவர்கள் நம்புவதற்கு இதுவே அடையாளம் என்றார்.

5. 'Do this,' the LORD said, 'and the Israelites will believe that you have seen me, the God who was worshiped by their ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.'

6. Next, the LORD commanded Moses, 'Put your hand inside your shirt.' Moses obeyed, and when he took it out, his hand had turned white as snow--like someone with leprosy.

7. Put your hand back inside your shirt,' the LORD told him. Moses did so, and when he took it out again, it was as healthy as the rest of his body.

8. அப்பொழுது அவர்: முந்தின அடையாளத்தை அவர்கள் கண்டு, உன்னை நம்பாமலும் உனக்குச் செவிகொடாமலும் போனால், பிந்தின அடையாளத்தைக் கண்டு நம்புவார்கள்.

8. Then the LORD said, 'If no one believes either of these miracles, take some water from the Nile River and pour it on the ground. The water will immediately turn into blood.'

9. இவ்விரண்டு அடையாளங்களையும் அவர்கள் நம்பாமலும், உன் வாக்குக்குச் செவிகொடமலும் இருப்பார்களானால், அப்பொழுது நீ நதியின் தண்ணீரை மொண்டு நிலத்தில் ஊற்றுவாயாக; நதியில் மொண்ட தண்ணீர் வெட்டாந்தரையிலே இரத்தமாகும் என்றார்.

10. அப்பொழுது மோசே கர்த்தரை நோக்கி: ஆண்டவரே, இதற்கு முன்னாவது, தேவரீர் உமது அடியேனோடே பேசினதற்குப் பின்னாவது நான் வாக்குவல்லவன் அல்ல; நான் திக்குவாயும் மந்த நாவும் உள்ளவன் என்றான்.

10. Moses replied, 'I have never been a good speaker. I wasn't one before you spoke to me, and I'm not one now. I am slow at speaking, and I can never think of what to say.'

11. அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் அவனை நோக்கி: மனுஷனுக்கு வாயை உண்டாக்கினவர் யார்? ஊமையனையும் செவிடனையும் பார்வையுள்ளவனையும் குருடனையும் உண்டாக்கினவர் யார்? கர்த்தராகிய நான் அல்லவா?

11. But the LORD answered, 'Who makes people able to speak or makes them deaf or unable to speak? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Don't you know that I am the one who does these things?

12. ஆதலால், நீ போ; நான் உன் வாயோடே இருந்து, நீ பேசவேண்டியதை உனக்குப் போதிப்பேன் என்றார்.

12. Now go! When you speak, I will be with you and give you the words to say.'

13. அதற்கு அவன்: ஆண்டவரே. நீர் அனுப்பச் சித்தமாயிருக்கிற யாரையாகிலும் அனுப்பும் என்றான்.

13. Moses begged, 'LORD, please send someone else to do it.'

14. அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் மோசேயின் மேல் கோபம்மூண்டவராகி: லேவியனாகிய ஆரோன் உன் சகோதரன் அல்லவா? அவன் நன்றாய்ப் பேசுகிறவன் என்று அறிவேன்; அவன் உன்னைச் சந்திக்கப் புறப்பட்டு வருகிறான்; உன்னைக் காணும்போது அவன் இருதயம் மகிழும்.

14. The LORD became irritated with Moses and said: What about your brother Aaron, the Levite? I know he is a good speaker. He is already on his way here to visit you, and he will be happy to see you again.

15. நீ அவனோடே பேசி, அவன் வாயில் வார்த்தைகளைப் போடு; நான் உன் வாயிலும் அவன் வாயிலும் இருந்து, நீங்கள் செய்யவேண்டியதை உங்களுக்கு உணர்த்துவேன்.

15. Aaron will speak to the people for you, and you will be like me, telling Aaron what to say. I will be with both of you as you speak, and I will tell each of you what to do.

17. Now take this walking stick and use it to perform miracles.

18. மோசே தன் மாமனாகிய எத்திரோவினிடத்துக்கு வந்து: நான் எகிப்திலிருக்கிற என் சகோதரரிடத்துக்குத் திரும்பிப்போய், அவர்கள் இன்னும் உயிரோடே இருக்கிறார்களா என்று பார்க்கும்படிப் புறப்பட்டுப்போக உத்தரவு தரவேண்டும் என்றான். அப்பொழுது எத்திரோ மோசேயை நோக்கி: சுகமாய்ப் போய்வாரும் என்றான்.

18. Moses went to his father-in-law Jethro and asked, 'Please let me return to Egypt to see if any of my people are still alive.' 'All right,' Jethro replied. 'I hope all goes well.'

19. பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மீதியானிலே மோசேயை நோக்கி: நீ எகிப்துக்குத் திரும்பிப் போ, உன் பிராணனை வாங்கத்தேடின மனிதர் எல்லாரும் இறந்துபோனார்கள் என்றார்.

19. But even before this, the LORD had told Moses, 'Leave the land of Midian and return to Egypt. Everyone who wanted to kill you is dead.'

20. அப்பொழுது மோசே தன் மனைவியையும் தன் பிள்ளைகளையும் கழுதையின் மேல் ஏற்றிக்கொண்டு, எகிப்து தேசத்துக்குத் திரும்பினான்; தேவனுடைய கோலையும் மோசே தன் கையிலே பிடித்துக்கொண்டு போனான்.

20. So Moses put his wife and sons on donkeys and headed for Egypt, holding the walking stick that had the power of God.

21. அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: நீ எகிப்திலே திரும்பிப்போய்ச் சேர்ந்தபின், நான் உன் கையில் அளித்திருக்கிற அற்புதங்கள் யாவையும் பார்வோனுக்கு முன்பாகச் செய்யும்படி எச்சரிக்கையாயிரு; ஆகிலும், நான் அவன் இருதயத்தைக் கடினப்படுத்துவேன்; அவன் ஜனத்தைப் போகவிடான்.

21. On the way the LORD said to Moses: When you get to Egypt, go to the king and work the miracles I have shown you. But I will make him so stubborn that he will refuse to let my people go.

22. அப்பொழுது நீ பார்வோனோடே சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: இஸ்ரவேல் என்னுடைய குமாரன், என் சேஷ்டபுத்திரன்.

22. Then tell him that I have said, 'Israel is my first-born son,

23. எனக்கு ஆராதனை செய்யும்படி என் குமாரனை அனுப்பிவிடு என்று கட்டளையிடுகிறேன்; அவனை விடமாட்டேன் என்பாயாகில் நான் உன்னுடைய குமாரனை, உன் சேஷ்டபுத்திரனைச் சங்கரிப்பேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொன்னார் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

23. and I commanded you to release him, so he could worship me. But you refused, and now I will kill your first-born son.'

24. வழியிலே தங்கும் இடத்தில் கர்த்தர் அவனுக்கு எதிர்ப்பட்டு, அவனைக் கொல்லப்பார்த்தார்.

24. One night while Moses was in camp, the LORD was about to kill him.

25. அப்பொழுது சிப்போராள் கருக்கான ஒரு கல்லை எடுத்து, தன் புத்திரனுடைய நுனித்தோலை அறுத்து, அதை அவன் கால்களுக்கு முன்பாக எறிந்து: நீர் எனக்கு இரத்தசம்பந்தமான புருஷன் என்றாள்.

25. But Zipporah circumcised her son with a flint knife. She touched his legs with the skin she had cut off and said, 'My dear son, this blood will protect you.'

26. பின்பு அவர் அவனைவிட்டு விலகினார். அப்பொழுது அவள்: விருத்தசேதனத்தினிமித்தம் நீர் எனக்கு இரத்தசம்பந்தமான புருஷன் என்றாள்.

26. So the LORD did not harm Moses. Then Zipporah said, 'Yes, my dear, you are safe because of this circumcision.'

27. கர்த்தர் ஆரோனை நோக்கி: நீ வனாந்தரத்தில் மோசேக்கு எதிர்கொண்டுபோ என்றார். அவன் போய், தேவபர்வதத்தில் அவனைச் சந்தித்து, அவனை முத்தஞ்செய்தான்.

27. The LORD sent Aaron to meet Moses in the desert. So Aaron met Moses at Mount Sinai and greeted him with a kiss.

28. அப்பொழுது மோசே தன்னை அனுப்பின கர்த்தருடைய சகல வார்த்தைகளையும் அவர் தனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்ட சகல அடையாளங்களையும் ஆரோனுக்குத் தெரிவித்தான்.

28. Moses told Aaron what God had sent him to say; he also told him about the miracles God had given him the power to perform.

29. மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் போய், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் மூப்பர் எல்லாரையும் கூடிவரச் செய்தார்கள்.

29. Later they brought together the leaders of Israel,

30. கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குச் சொல்லிய சகல வார்த்தைகளையும் ஆரோன் சொல்லி, ஜனங்களின் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக அந்த அடையாளங்களையும் செய்தான்.

30. and Aaron told them what the LORD had sent Moses to say. Then Moses worked the miracles for the people,

31. ஜனங்கள் விசுவாசித்தார்கள்; கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரைச் சந்தித்தார் என்றும், அவர்கள் படும் உபத்திரவங்களைக் கண்ணோக்கிப்பார்த்தார் என்றும், அவர்கள் கேட்டபோது, தலைகுனிந்துத் தொழுதுகொண்டார்கள்.

31. and everyone believed. They bowed down and worshiped the LORD because they knew that he had seen their suffering and was going to help them.
