1. உன் சகோதரனாகிய ஆரோன் எனக்கு ஆசாரிய ஊழியம் செய்யும்படிக்கு, நீ ஆரோனையும் அவனோடேகூட அவன் குமாரராகிய நாதாப், அபியூ, எலெயாசார், இத்தாமார் என்னும் ஆரோனின் குமாரரையும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரிலிருந்து பிரித்து, உன்னிடத்தில் சேர்த்துக்கொள்வாயாக.
எபிரேயர் 5:4

1. FROM AMONG the Israelites take your brother Aaron and his sons with him, that he may minister to Me in the priest's office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron's sons.

2. உன் சகோதரனாகிய ஆரோனுக்கு, மகிமையும் அலங்காரமுமாய் இருக்கும் பொருட்டு, பரிசுத்த வஸ்திரங்களை உண்டுபண்ணுவாயாக.

2. And you shall make for Aaron your brother sacred garments [appointed official dress set apart for special holy services] for honor and for beauty.

3. ஆரோன் எனக்கு ஆசாரிய ஊழியம் செய்யத்தக்கதாக அவனைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தும்படி அவனுக்கு வஸ்திரங்களை உண்டாக்கும்பொருட்டு, நான் ஞானத்தின் ஆவியால் நிரப்பின விவேகமான இருதயமுள்ள யாவரோடும் நீ சொல்லுவாயாக.

3. Tell all who are expert, whom I have endowed with skill and good judgment, that they shall make Aaron's garments to sanctify him for My priesthood.

4. அவர்கள் உண்டாக்கவேண்டிய வஸ்திரங்களாவன; மார்ப்பதக்கமும், ஏபோத்தும், அங்கியும், விசித்திரமான உள்சட்டையும், பாகையும், இடைக்கச்சையுமே. உன் சகோதரனாகிய ஆரோன் எனக்கு ஆசாரிய ஊழியம் செய்யும்படி, அவனுக்கும் அவன் குமாரருக்கும் பரிசுத்த வஸ்திரங்களை உண்டுபண்ணவேண்டும்.

4. They shall make these garments: a breastplate, an ephod [a distinctive vestment to which the breastplate was to be attached], a robe, long and sleeved tunic of checkerwork, a turban, and a sash or band. They shall make sacred garments for Aaron your brother and his sons to minister to Me in the priest's office.

5. அவர்கள் பொன்னும் இளநீலநூலும் இரத்தாம்பரநூலும் சிவப்புநூலும் மெல்லிய பஞ்சுநூலும் சேகரிப்பார்களாக.

5. They shall receive [from the people] and use gold, and blue, purple, and scarlet [stuff], and fine linen.

6. ஏபோத்தைப் பொன்னினாலும் இளநீலநூலாலும் இரத்தாம்பரநூலாலும் சிவப்புநூலாலும் திரித்த மெல்லிய பஞ்சுநூலாலும் விசித்திரவேலையாய்ச் செய்யக்கடவர்கள்.

6. And they shall make the ephod of gold, of blue, purple, and scarlet [stuff], and fine twined linen, skillfully woven and worked.

7. அது ஒன்றாக இணைக்கப்படும் பொருட்டு, இரண்டு தோள்த்துண்டுகளின்மேலும், அதின் இரண்டு முனைகளும் சேர்க்கப்படவேண்டும்.

7. It shall have two shoulder straps to join the two [back and front] edges, that it may be held together.

8. அந்த ஏபோத்தின்மேல் இருக்கவேண்டிய விசித்திரமான கச்சை அந்த வேலைக்கு ஒப்பாகவே, பொன்னினாலும் இளநீலநூலாலும் இரத்தாம்பரநூலாலும் சிவப்புநூலாலும் திரித்த மெல்லிய பஞ்சுநூலாலும் பண்ணப்பட்டு, அதனோடே ஏகமாயிருக்கவேண்டும்.

8. The skillfully woven girding band which is on the ephod shall be made of the same, of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet [stuff], and fine twined linen.

9. பின்னும் நீ இரண்டு கோமேதகக்கற்களை எடுத்து, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் நாமங்களை அவைகளில் வெட்டுவாயாக.

9. And you shall take two onyx or beryl stones and engrave on them the names of the twelve sons of Israel;

10. அவர்கள் பிறந்த வரிசையின்படியே, அவர்களுடைய நாமங்களில் ஆறு நாமங்கள் ஒரு கல்லிலும், மற்ற ஆறு நாமங்கள் மறு கல்லிலும் இருக்கவேண்டும்.

10. Six of their names on one stone and the six names of the rest on the other stone, arranged in order of their birth.

11. இரத்தினங்களில் முத்திரை வெட்டுகிறவர்கள் செய்யும் வேலைக்கு ஒப்பாக அந்த இரண்டு கற்களிலும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் நாமங்களை வெட்டி, அவைகளைப் பொன் குவளைகளில் பதிப்பாயாக.

11. With the work of a stone engraver, like the engravings of a signet, you shall engrave the two stones according to the names of the sons of Israel. You shall have them set in sockets or rosettes of gold.

12. ஆரோன் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாகத் தன் இரண்டு தோள்களின்மேலும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் நாமங்களை ஞாபகக்குறியாகச் சுமந்துவர, அந்த இரண்டு கற்களையும் ஏபோத்து தோள்களின்மேல் அவர்களை நினைக்கும்படியான கற்களாக வைக்கக்கடவாய்.

12. And you shall put the two stones upon the [two] shoulder straps of the ephod [of the high priest] as memorial stones for Israel; and Aaron shall bear their names upon his two shoulders as a memorial before the Lord.

13. பொன்னினால் வளையங்களைப்பண்ணி,

13. And you shall make sockets or rosettes of gold for settings,

14. சரியான அளவுக்குப் பின்னல்வேலையான இரண்டு சங்கிலிகளையும், பசும்பொன்னினால் உண்டாக்கி, அந்தச் சங்கிலிகளை அந்த வளையங்களில் பூட்டுவாயாக.

14. And two chains of pure gold, like cords shall you twist them, and fasten the corded chains to the settings.

15. நியாயவிதி மார்ப்பதக்கத்தையும் விசித்திரவேலையாய்ச் செய்வாயாக; அதை ஏபோத்து வேலைக்கு ஒப்பாகப் பொன்னினாலும் இளநீலநூலாலும் இரத்தாம்பரநூலாலும் திரித்த மெல்லிய பஞ்சுநூலாலும் செய்வாயாக.

15. You shall make a breastplate of judgment, in skilled work; like the workmanship of the ephod shall you make it, of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet [stuff], and of fine twined linen.

16. அது சதுரமும் இரட்டையும், ஒரு சாண் நீளமும் ஒரு சாண் அகலமுமாய் இருக்கவேண்டும்.

16. The breastplate shall be square and doubled; a span [nine inches] shall be its length and a span shall be its breadth.

17. அதிலே நாலு பத்தி இரத்தினக்கற்களை நிறையப் பதிப்பாயாக; முதலாம் பத்தி பத்மராகமும் புஷ்பராகமும் மாணிக்கமும்,

17. You shall set in it four rows of stones: a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle shall be the first row;

18. இரண்டாம் பத்தி மரகதமும் இந்திரநீலமும் வச்சிரமும்,

18. The second row an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond [so called at that time];

19. மூன்றாம் பத்தி கெம்பும் வைடூரியமும் சுகந்தியும்,

19. The third row a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst;

20. நாலாம் பத்தி படிகப்பச்சையும் கோமேதகமும் யஸ்பியுமாய் இருப்பதாக; இவைகள் அந்தந்தப் பத்தியில் பொன்னினாலே பதித்திருக்கவேண்டும்.

20. And the fourth row a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper; they shall be set in gold filigree.

21. இந்தக் கற்கள் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடைய நாமங்களின்படியே பன்னிரண்டும், அவர்களுடைய நாமங்கள் அவைகளில் வெட்டப்பட்டவைகளுமாய் இருக்கவேண்டும்; பன்னிரண்டு கோத்திரங்களில் ஒவ்வொன்றினுடைய நாமம் ஒவ்வொன்றிலே முத்திரைவெட்டாய் வெட்டியிருக்கவேண்டும்.
வெளிப்படுத்தின விசேஷம் 21:12-13

21. And the stones shall be twelve, according to the names of the sons of Israel, like the engravings of a signet, each with its name for the twelve tribes.

22. மார்ப்பதக்கத்திற்கு அதின் பக்கங்களிலே பின்னல்வேலையான பசும்பொன் சங்கிலிகளையும் பண்ணி,

22. You shall make for the breastplate chains of pure gold twisted like cords.

23. அந்த மார்ப்பதக்கத்திற்கு இரண்டு பொன் வளையங்களையும் பண்ணி, அந்த இரண்டு வளையங்களையும் மார்ப்பதக்கத்தின் இரண்டு பக்கங்களிலே வைத்து,

23. You shall make on the breastplate two rings of gold and put [them] on the two edges of the breastplate.

24. பொன்னினால் செய்த அந்த இரண்டு பின்னல் வேலையான சங்கிலிகளையும் மார்ப்பதக்கத்தின் பக்கங்களில் இருக்கிற இரண்டு வளையங்களில் மாட்டி,

24. And you shall put the two twisted, cordlike chains of gold in the two rings which are on the edges of the breastplate.

25. அவ்விரண்டு பின்னல் வேலையான சங்கிலிகளின் இரண்டு நுனிகளை ஏபோத்துத் தோள்த்துண்டின்மேல் அதின் முன்புறத்தில் இருக்கிற இரண்டு வளையங்களில் மாட்டுவாயாக.

25. The other two ends of the two twisted, cordlike chains you shall fasten in the two sockets or rosettes in front, putting them on the shoulder straps of the ephod;

26. நீ இரண்டு பொன்வளையங்களைப் பண்ணி, அவைகளை ஏபோத்தின் கீழ்ப்புறத்திற்கு எதிரான மார்ப்பதக்கத்தினுடைய மற்ற இரண்டு பக்கங்களிலும் அதினுடைய ஓரத்திற்குள்ளாக வைத்து,

26. And make two rings of gold and put them at the two ends of the breastplate on its inside edge next to the ephod.

27. வேறே இரண்டு பொன்வளையங்களைப் பண்ணி, அவைகளை ஏபோத்தின் முன்புறத்து இரண்டு கீழ்ப்பக்கங்களில் அதின் இணைப்புக்கு எதிராகவும், ஏபோத்தின் விசித்திரமான கச்சைக்கு மேலாகவும் வைத்து,

27. Two gold rings you shall make and attach them to the lower part of the two shoulder pieces of the ephod in front, close by where they join, above the skillfully woven girdle or band of the ephod.

28. மார்ப்பதக்கம் ஏபோத்தின் விசித்திரமான கச்சைக்கு மேலாக இருக்கும்படிக்கும், அது ஏபோத்திலிருந்து நீங்காதபடிக்கும், அதை அதின் வளையங்களால் ஏபோத்து வளையங்களோடே இளநீல நாடாவினால் கட்டவேண்டும்.

28. And they shall bind the breastplate by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it may be above the skillfully woven girding band of the ephod, and that the breastplate may not become loose from the ephod.

29. ஆரோன் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திற்குள் பிரவேசிக்கும்போது, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் நாமங்களைத் தன் இருதயத்தின்மேலிருக்கும் நியாயவிதி மார்ப்பதக்கத்திலே கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதானத்தில் ஞாபகக்குறியாக எப்பொழுதும் தரித்துக்கொள்ளக்கடவன்.

29. So Aaron shall bear the names of the sons of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart when he goes into the Holy Place, to bring them in continual remembrance before the Lord.

30. நியாயவிதி மார்ப்பதக்கத்திலே ஊரீம் தும்மீம் என்பவைகளை வைப்பாயாக; ஆரோன் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதானத்தில் பிரவேசிக்கும்போது, அவைகள் அவன் இருதயத்தின்மேல் இருக்கவேண்டும்; ஆரோன் தன் இருதயத்தின்மேல் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடைய நியாயவிதியைக் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதானத்தில் எப்பொழுதும் தரித்துக்கொள்ளவேண்டும்.

30. In the breastplate of judgment you shall put the Urim and the Thummim [unspecified articles used when the high priest asked God's counsel for all Israel]; they shall be upon Aaron's heart when he goes in before the Lord, and Aaron shall bear the judgment (rights, judicial decisions) of the Israelites upon his heart before the Lord continually.

31. ஏபோத்தின் கீழ் அங்கியை முழுவதும் இளநீலநூலால் உண்டாக்கக்கடவாய்.

31. Make the robe [to be worn beneath] the ephod all of blue.

32. தலை நுழைகிற அதின் துவாரம் அதின் நடுவில் இருக்கவும், அதின் துவாரத்துக்கு நெய்யப்பட்ட வேலையான ஒரு நாடா சுற்றிலும் இருக்கவும் வேண்டும்; அது கிழியாதபடிக்கு மார்க்கவசத்தின் துவாரத்துக்கு ஒத்ததாக இருக்கவேண்டும்.

32. There shall be a hole in the center of it [to slip over the head], with a binding of woven work around the hole, like the opening in a coat of mail or a garment, that it may not fray or tear.

33. அதின் கீழோரங்களில் இளநீலநூல் இரத்தாம்பரநூல் சிவப்புநூல் வேலையால் செய்யப்பட்ட மாதளம்பழங்களையும், அவைகளுக்கு இடையிடையே சுற்றிலும் பொன்மணிகளையும் அதின் ஓரங்களில் சுற்றிலும் தொங்கும்படி பண்ணிவைக்கவேண்டும்.

33. And you shall make pomegranates of blue, purple, and scarlet [stuff] around about its skirts, with gold bells between them;

34. அங்கியின் ஓரங்களில் சுற்றிலும் ஒரு பொன்மணியும் ஒரு மாதளம்பழமும், ஒரு பொன்மணியும் ஒரு மாதளம்பழமுமாய்த் தொங்குவதாக.

34. A gold bell and a pomegranate, a gold bell and a pomegranate, round about on the skirts of the robe.

35. ஆரோன் ஆராதனை செய்யக் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்துக்குள் பிரவேசிக்கும்போதும், வெளியே வரும்போதும், அவன் சாகாதபடிக்கு, அதின் சத்தம் கேட்கப்படும்படி அதைத் தரித்துக்கொள்ளவேண்டும்.

35. Aaron shall wear the robe when he ministers, and its sound shall be heard when he goes [alone] into the Holy of Holies before the Lord and when he comes out, lest he die there.

36. பசும்பொன்னினால் ஒரு பட்டத்தைப்பண்ணி, கர்த்தருக்குப் பரிசுத்தம் என்று அதிலே முத்திரை வெட்டாக வெட்டி,

36. And you shall make a plate of pure gold and engrave on it, like the engravings of a signet, HOLY TO THE LORD. [Exod. 39:30.]

37. அது பாகையிலிருக்கும்படி அதை இளநீல நாடாவினால் பாகையின் முகப்பிலே கட்டுவாயாக.

37. You shall fasten it on the front of the turban with a blue cord.

38. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் தங்கள் பரிசுத்த காணிக்கைகளாகப் படைக்கும் பரிசுத்தமானவைகளின் தோஷத்தை ஆரோன் சுமக்கும்படி, அது ஆரோனுடைய நெற்றியின்மேல் இருப்பதாக; கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் அவர்கள் அங்கிகரிக்கப்படும்படி, அது எப்பொழுதும் அவன் நெற்றியின்மேல் இருக்கவேண்டும்.

38. It shall be upon Aaron's forehead, that Aaron may take upon himself and bear [any] iniquity [connected with] the holy things which the Israelites shall give and dedicate; and it shall always be upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before the Lord [in the priest's person]. [Luke 24:44; Heb. 8:1, 2.]

39. மெல்லிய பஞ்சுநூலால் விசித்திரமான உள்சட்டையும், மெல்லிய பஞ்சுநூலால் பாகையையும் உண்டாக்கி, இடைக்கச்சையைச் சித்திரத்தையல் வேலையாகப்பண்ணுவாயாக.

39. And you shall weave the long and sleeved tunic of checkerwork of fine linen or silk and make a turban of fine linen or silk; and you shall make a girdle, the work of the embroiderer.

40. ஆரோனுடைய குமாரருக்கும், மகிமையும் அலங்காரமுமாயிருக்கும் பொருட்டு, அங்கிகளையும், இடைக்கச்சைகளையும், குல்லாக்களையும் உண்டுபண்ணுவாயாக.

40. For Aaron's sons you shall make long and sleeved tunics and belts or sashes and caps, for glory and honor and beauty.

41. உன் சகோதரனாகிய ஆரோனும் அவனோடேகூட அவன் குமாரரும் எனக்கு ஆசாரிய ஊழியம் செய்யும்படிக்கு, நீ அந்த வஸ்திரங்களை அவர்களுக்கு உடுத்தி, அவர்களை அபிஷேகஞ்செய்து, அவர்களைப் பிரதிஷ்டைபண்ணி, அவர்களைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்துவாயாக.

41. And you shall put them on Aaron your brother and his sons with him, and shall anoint them and ordain and sanctify them [set them apart for God], that they may serve Me as priests.

42. அவர்களுடைய நிர்வாணத்தை மூடும்படிக்கு, இடுப்புத்தொடங்கி முழங்கால்மட்டும் உடுத்த சணல்நூல் சல்லடங்களையும் உண்டுபண்ணுவாயாக.

42. You shall make for them [white] linen trunks to cover their naked flesh, reaching from the waist to the thighs.

43. ஆரோனும் அவன் குமாரரும் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திலே ஆராதனைசெய்ய ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்திற்குள் பிரவேசிக்கும்போதும் பலிபீடத்தண்டைக்குச் சேரும்போதும், அக்கிரமம் சுமந்து அவர்கள் சாகாதபடிக்கு, அவைகளைத் தரித்திருக்கவேண்டும்; இது அவனுக்கும் அவனுக்குப் பின்வரும் சந்ததிக்கும் நித்திய கட்டளை.

43. And they shall be on Aaron and his sons when they go into the Tent of Meeting or when they come near to the altar to minister in the Holy Place, lest they bring iniquity upon themselves and die; it shall be a statute forever to Aaron and to his descendants after him.
