1. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட மூன்றாம் மாதம் முதலாம் நாளிலே, சீனாய் வனாந்தரத்தில் சேர்ந்தார்கள்.

1. In the third month of the going out of the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt, on this day they came to the wilderness of Sinai.

2. அவர்கள் ரெவிதீமிலிருந்து பிரயாணம் புறப்பட்டு, சீனாய் வனாந்தரத்தில் சேர்ந்து, அந்த வனாந்தரத்தில் பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்; இஸ்ரவேலர் அங்கே மலைக்கு எதிராகப் பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

2. And they pulled up stakes from Rephidim and came to the wilderness of Sinai. And they camped in the wilderness. And Israel camped there before the mountain.

3. மோசே தேவனிடத்திற்கு ஏறிப்போனான்; கர்த்தர் மலையிலிருந்து அவனைக்கூப்பிட்டு: நீ யாக்கோபு வம்சத்தாருக்குச் சொல்லவும், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்கு அறிவிக்கவும் வேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்,

3. And Moses went up to God. And Jehovah called to him from the mountain, saying, You shall say this to the house of Jacob, and tell it to the sons of Israel.

4. நான் எகிப்தியருக்குச் செய்ததையும், நான் உங்களைக் கழுகுகளுடைய செட்டைகளின்மேல் சுமந்து, உங்களை என்னண்டையிலே சேர்த்துக்கொண்டதையும், நீங்கள் கண்டிருக்கிறீர்கள்.

4. You have seen what I did to Egypt; and I bore you on wings of eagles and brought you to Me.

5. இப்பொழுது நீங்கள் என் வாக்கை உள்ளபடி கேட்டு, என் உடன்படிக்கையைக் கைகொள்வீர்களானால், சகல ஜனங்களிலும் நீங்களே எனக்குச் சொந்த சம்பத்தாயிருப்பீர்கள்; பூமியெல்லாம் என்னுடையது.

5. And now if listening you will listen to My voice, and will keep My covenant, you shall become a special treasure to Me above all the nations, for all the earth is Mine.

6. நீங்கள் எனக்கு ஆசாரிய ராஜ்யமும் பரிசுத்த ஜாதியுமாய் இருப்பீர்கள் என்று நீ இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரோடே சொல்லவேண்டிய வார்த்தைகள் என்றார்.

6. And you shall become a kingdom of priests for Me, a holy nation. These are the words which you shall speak to the sons of Israel.

7. மோசே வந்து ஜனங்களின் மூப்பரை அழைப்பித்து, கர்த்தர் தனக்குக் கற்பித்த வார்த்தைகளையெல்லாம் அவர்களுக்கு முன்பாகச் சொன்னான்.

7. And Moses came and called the elders of the people. And he put all these words before them which Jehovah commanded him.

8. அதற்கு ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரும் ஏகமாய், கர்த்தர் சொன்னவைகளையெல்லாம் செய்வோம் என்று பிரதியுத்தரம் சொன்னார்கள். ஜனங்கள் சொன்ன வார்த்தைகளை மோசே கர்த்தரிடத்தில் தெரிவித்தான்.

8. And all the people answered together and said, All which Jehovah has spoken we will do. And Moses brought back the words of the people to Jehovah.

9. அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: நான் உன்னோடே பேசும்போது ஜனங்கள் கேட்டு, உன்னை என்றைக்கும் விசுவாசிக்கும்படி, நான் கார்மேகத்தில் உன்னிடத்திற்கு வருவேன் என்றார். ஜனங்கள் சொன்ன வார்த்தைகளை மோசே கர்த்தருக்குச் சொன்னான்.

9. And Jehovah said to Moses, Behold, I come to you in a darkness of clouds, so that the people may hear My speaking with you, and in you they may believe forever. And Moses told the words of the people to Jehovah.

10. பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: நீ ஜனங்களிடத்தில் போய், இன்றைக்கும் நாளைக்கும் அவர்களைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்து; அவர்கள் தங்கள் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தோய்த்து,

10. And Jehovah said to Moses, Go to the people and sanctify them today and tomorrow. And let them wash their clothes.

11. மூன்றாம் நாளைக்கு ஆயத்தப்பட்டிருக்கக்கடவர்கள்; மூன்றாம் நாளில் கர்த்தர் சகல ஜனங்களுக்கும் பிரத்தியட்சமாகச் சீனாய் மலையின்மேல் இறங்குவார்.

11. And be ready for the third day. For on the third day Jehovah will go down before the eyes of all the people on the mountain of Sinai.

12. ஜனங்களுக்குச் சுற்றிலும் நீ ஒரு எல்லை குறித்து, அவர்கள் மலையில் ஏறாதபடிக்கும், அதின் அடிவாரத்தைத் தொடாதபடிக்கும் எச்சரிக்கையாய் இருங்கள் என்று அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்; மலையைத் தொடுகிறவன் எவனும் நிச்சயமாகவே கொல்லப்படுவான்.

12. And you shall set limits to the people all around, saying, Be careful for yourselves, not going up into the mountain and touching its border; everyone touching the mountain dying shall die.

13. ஒரு கையும் அதைத்தொடலாகாது; தொட்டால், நிச்சயமாகக் கல்லெறியுண்டு, அல்லது ஊடுருவ எய்யுண்டு சாகவேண்டும்; மிருகமானாலும் சரி, மனிதனானாலும் சரி, உயிரோடே வைக்கப்படலாகாது; எக்காளம் நெடுந்தொனியாய்த் தொனிக்கையில், அவர்கள் மலையின் அடிவாரத்தில் வரக்கடவர்கள் என்றார்.

13. Not a hand shall touch him, but stoning he shall be stoned, or piercing he shall be shot through. He shall not live, whether animal or man. At the sounding of the ram's horn, they shall go up into the mountain.

14. மோசே மலையிலிருந்து இறங்கி, ஜனங்களிடத்தில் வந்து, அவர்களைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தினான்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தோய்த்தார்கள்.

14. And Moses went from the mountain to the people. And he sanctified the people, and they washed their clothes.

15. அவன் ஜனங்களை நோக்கி: மூன்றாம் நாளுக்கு ஆயத்தப்பட்டிருங்கள், மனைவியினிடத்தில் சேராதிருங்கள் என்றான்.

15. And he said to the people, Be ready for the third day. Do not approach a woman.

16. மூன்றாம் நாள் விடியற்காலத்தில் இடிமுழக்கங்களும் மின்னல்களும், மலையின்மேல் கார்மேகமும் மகா பலத்த எக்காளசத்தமும் உண்டாயிற்று; பாளயத்திலிருந்த ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரும் நடுங்கினார்கள்.

16. And on the third day, it being morning, it happened: There were thunders and lightnings, and a heavy cloud on the mountain, and the sound of a ram's horn, very strong! And all the people in the camp trembled.

17. அப்பொழுது ஜனங்கள் தேவனுக்கு எதிர்கொண்டுபோக, மோசே அவர்களைப் பாளயத்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணினான்; அவர்கள் மலையின் அடிவாரத்தில் நின்றார்கள்.

17. And Moses caused the people to go up from the camp to meet God. And they took their stand at the lower part of the mountain.

18. கர்த்தர் சீனாய்மலையின்மேல் அக்கினியில் இறங்கினபடியால், அது முழுவதும் புகைக்காடாய் இருந்தது; அந்தப் புகை சூளையின் புகையைப்போல எழும்பிற்று; மலை முழுவதும் மிகவும் அதிர்ந்தது.

18. And the mountain of Sinai was smoking, all of it, because Jehovah came down on it in fire. And its smoke went up like the smoke of a furnace; and the mountain quaked exceedingly.

19. எக்காளசத்தம் வரவர மிகவும் பலமாய்த் தொனித்தது; மோசே பேசினான்; தேவன் அவனுக்கு வாக்கினால் மறுமொழி கொடுத்தார்.

19. And it happened while the sound of the ram's horn was sounding, and becoming very strong, Moses spoke. And God answered him by a voice.

20. கர்த்தர் சீனாய்மலையிலுள்ள கொடுமுடியில் இறங்கினபோது, கர்த்தர் மோசேயை மலையின் கொடுமுடியிலே வரவழைத்தார்; மோசே ஏறிப்போனான்.

20. And Jehovah came down on the mountain of Sinai, to the top of the mountain; and Jehovah called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.

21. அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: ஜனங்கள் பார்க்கிறதற்கு எல்லையைக் கடந்து கர்த்தரிடத்தில் வராதபடிக்கும், அவர்களில் அநேகர் அழிந்துபோகாதபடிக்கும், நீ இறங்கிப்போய், அவர்களை உறுதியாக எச்சரி.

21. And Jehovah said to Moses, Go down, warn the people lest they break through to gaze at Jehovah, and many of them fall.

22. கர்த்தரின் சமுகத்தில் வருகிற ஆசாரியர்களும், கர்த்தர் தங்களுக்குள்ளே சங்காரம்பண்ணாதபடி, தங்களைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்திக்கொள்ளவேண்டும் என்றார்.

22. And also the priests, those approaching Jehovah, let them sanctify themselves that Jehovah not burst forth among them.

23. அப்பொழுது மோசே கர்த்தரை நோக்கி: மலையைச் சுற்றிலும் எல்லை குறித்து, அதைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்துங்கள் என்று தேவரீர் எங்களை உறுதியாக எச்சரித்திருக்கிறீர்; ஆகையால், ஜனங்கள் சீனாய்மலையின்மேல் ஏறிவரமாட்டார்கள் என்றான்.

23. And Moses said to Jehovah, The people are not able to come up to the mountain of Sinai. For You warned us, saying, Set limits to the mountain and sanctify it.

24. கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: நீ இறங்கிப்போ; பின்பு நீயும் ஆரோனும் கூடி ஏறிவாருங்கள்; ஆசாரியர்களும், ஜனங்களும், கர்த்தர் தங்களுக்குள்ளே சங்காரம்பண்ணாதபடிக்கு, எல்லையைக் கடந்து கர்த்தரிடத்தில் வராதிருக்கக்கடவர்கள் என்றார்.
வெளிப்படுத்தின விசேஷம் 4:1

24. And Jehovah said to him, Come, go down. And you come up, and Aaron with you. And let not the priests and the people break through to come up to Jehovah, lest He burst forth among them.

25. அப்படியே மோசே இறங்கி ஜனங்களிடத்தில் போய், அதை அவர்களுக்குச் சொன்னான்.

25. And Moses went down to the people and spoke to them.
