1. கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

1. And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:

2. இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குள் மனிதரிலும் மிருகஜீவன்களிலும் கர்ப்பந்திறந்து பிறக்கிற முதற்பேறனைத்தையும் எனக்குப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்து; அது என்னுடையது என்றார்.
லூக்கா 2:23

2. Hallow to me every firstborn, that which any female first beareth among the sons of Israel, among men and among beasts, mine! it is.

3. அப்பொழுது மோசே ஜனங்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் அடிமைத்தன வீடாகிய எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட இந்த நாளை நினையுங்கள்; கர்த்தர் பலத்த கையினால் உங்களை அவ்விடத்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணினார்; ஆகையால், நீங்கள் புளித்த அப்பம் புசிக்கவேண்டாம்.

3. And Moses said unto the people Ye are to remember this day, on which ye came forth out of Egypt out of the house of slaves, that with strength of hand, did Yahweh bring you forth from hence, there shall not, therefore be eaten anything leavened.

4. ஆபிப் மாதத்தின் இந்த நாளிலே நீங்கள் புறப்பட்டீர்கள்.

4. To-day, are, ye, coming forth, in the month Abib.

5. ஆகையால், கர்த்தர் உனக்குக் கொடுப்பேன் என்று உன் பிதாக்களுக்கு ஆணையிட்டதும், பாலும் தேனும் ஓடுகிறதுமான தேசமாகிய கானானியர், ஏத்தியர், எமோரியர், ஏவியர், எபூசியர் என்பவர்களுடைய தேசத்துக்கு உன்னை வரப்பண்ணும் காலத்தில், நீ இந்த மாதத்திலே இந்த ஆராதனையைச் செய்வாயாக.

5. And it shall be, when Yahweh shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Amorite, and the Hivite and the Jebusite, which he sware to thy fathers to give thee, a land flowing with milk and honey, then shalt thou serve with this service, in this month.

6. புளிப்பில்லா அப்பத்தை ஏழுநாளளவும் புசிக்கக்கடவாய்; ஏழாம்நாளிலே கர்த்தருக்குப் பண்டிகை ஆசரிக்கப்படுவதாக.

6. Seven days, shalt thou eat unleavened cakes, and on the seventh day, shall be a festival to Yahweh.

7. அந்த ஏழுநாளும் புளிப்பில்லா அப்பம் புசிக்கவேண்டும்; புளிப்புள்ள அப்பம் உன்னிடத்திலே காணப்படவேண்டாம்; உன் எல்லைக்குள் எங்கும் புளித்தமாவும் உன்னிடத்தில் காணப்படவேண்டாம்.
1 கொரிந்தியர் 5:7-8

7. Unleavened cakes, shall be eaten for the seven days, neither shall there be seen with thee anything leavened, nor shall there be seen with thee leaven, within any of thy bounds,

8. அந்நாளில் நீ உன் புத்திரனை நோக்கி: நான் எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்படுகையில், கர்த்தர் எனக்குச் செய்ததற்காக இப்படி நடப்பிக்கப்படுகிறது என்று சொல்.

8. And thou shalt toll thy son, on that day, saying, This is because, of that which Yahweh did for me, when he brought me forth out of Egypt.

9. கர்த்தரின் நியாயப்பிரமாணம் உன் வாயிலிருக்கும்படிக்கு, இது உன் கையிலே ஒரு அடையாளமாகவும் உன் கண்களின் நடுவே நினைப்பூட்டுதலாகவும் இருக்கக்கடவது; பலத்த கையினால் கர்த்தர் உன்னை எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணினார்;
மத்தேயு 23:5

9. And it shall be to thee for a sign upon thy hand and for a memorial between thine eyes, in order that the law of Yahweh may be in thy mouth, for with a strong hand, did Yahweh bring thee forth out of Egypt.

10. ஆகையால், நீ வருஷந்தோறும் குறித்த காலத்தில் இந்த நியாயத்தை ஆசரித்து வருவாயாக.

10. So shalt thou observe this statute in its appointed time, from year to year.

11. மேலும், கர்த்தர் உனக்கும் உன் பிதாக்களுக்கும் ஆணையிட்டபடியே, உன்னைக் கானானியரின் தேசத்திலே வரப்பண்ணி, அதை உனக்குக் கொடுக்கும்போது,

11. And it shall be when Yahweh shall bring thee into the land of the Canaanite, as he sware to thee and to thy fathers, and shalt give it thee,

12. கர்ப்பந்திறந்து பிறக்கும் அனைத்தையும், உனக்கு இருக்கும் மிருகஜீவன்களின் தலையீற்றனைத்தையும், கர்த்தருக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பாயாக; அவைகளிலுள்ள ஆண்கள் கர்த்தருடையவைகள்.

12. that thou shalt set apart whatsoever is born first, to Yahweh; and, of all firstlings of beasts which thou shalt have, the males, shall pertain to Yahweh.

13. கழுதையின் தலையீற்றையெல்லாம் ஒரு ஆட்டுக்குட்டியால் மீட்டுக்கொள்வாயாக; மீட்காவிட்டால், அதின் கழுத்தை முறித்துப்போடு. உன் பிள்ளைகளில் முதற்பேறான சகல நரஜீவனையும் மீட்டுக்கொள்வாயாக.

13. But every firstling of an ass, shalt thou redeem with a lamb or if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break its neck, but every firstborn of men among thy sons, shalt thou redeem.

14. பிற்காலத்தில் உன் குமாரன்: இது என்ன என்று உன்னைக் கேட்டால்; நீ அவனை நோக்கி: கர்த்தர் எங்களைப் பலத்த கையினால் அடிமைத்தன வீடாகிய எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணினார்.

14. And it shall be when thy son shall ask thee in time to come, saying, What is this? Then shalt thou say unto him: With strength of hand, did Yahweh bring us forth out of Egypt out of the house of slaves.

15. எங்களை விடாதபடிக்கு, பார்வோன் கடினப்பட்டிருக்கும்போது, கர்த்தர் எகிப்து தேசத்தில் மனிதரின் தலைப்பிள்ளைகள்முதல் மிருகஜீவன்களின் தலையீற்றுகள்வரைக்கும் உண்டாயிருந்த முதற்பேறுகள் யாவையும் கொன்றுபோட்டார்; ஆகையால், கர்ப்பந்திறந்து பிறக்கும் ஆணையெல்லாம் நான் கர்த்தருக்குப் பலியிட்டு, என் பிள்ளைகளில் முதற்பேறனைத்தையும் மீட்டுக்கொள்ளுகிறேன்.

15. And it came to pass when Pharaoh had shown himself too hardened to let us go, then did Yahweh slay every firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of men even unto the firstborn of beasts. For this cause, am, I, sacrificing to Yahweh whatsoever is born first, of the males, and every firstborn of my sons, must I redeem.

16. கர்த்தர் எங்களைப் பலத்த கையினால் எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணினதற்கு, இது உன் கையில் அடையாளமாகவும், உன் கண்களின் நடுவே ஞாபகக்குறியாகவும் இருக்கக்கடவது என்று சொல்வாயாக என்றான்.

16. And it shall be for a sign upon thy hand, and for frontlets between thine eyes, that, with strength of hand, did Yahweh bring us forth out of Egypt.

17. பார்வோன் ஜனங்களைப் போகவிட்டபின்: ஜனங்கள் யுத்தத்தைக் கண்டால் மனமடிந்து, எகிப்துக்குத் திரும்புவார்கள் என்று சொல்லி; பெலிஸ்தரின் தேசவழியாய்ப் போவது சமீபமானாலும், தேவன் அவர்களை அந்த வழியாய் நடத்தாமல்,

17. And it came to pass when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead by the land-way of the Philistines, although it was near, for God said Lest the people be dismayed when they see war and turn back to Egypt.

18. சிவந்த சமுத்திரத்தின் வனாந்தர வழியாய் ஜனங்களைச் சுற்றிப் போகப்பண்ணினார். இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து அணியணியாய்ப் புறப்பட்டுப்போனார்கள்.

18. So God took the people round the desert-way of the Red Sea, and the sons of Israel went up armed, out of the land of Egypt.

19. மோசே தன்னோடேகூட யோசேப்பின் எலும்புகளை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு போனான். தேவன் நிச்சயமாய் உங்களைச் சந்திப்பார்; அப்பொழுது உங்களோடேகூட என் எலும்புகளை இவ்விடத்திலிருந்து கொண்டுபோங்கள் என்று யோசேப்பு சொல்லி, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரை உறுதியாய் ஆணையிடும்படி செய்திருந்தான்.
எபிரேயர் 11:22

19. And Moses took the bones of Joseph, with him, for he had, taken an oath, of the sons of Israel saying, God will, surely visit, you, so then ye shall carry up my bones from hence with you.

20. அவர்கள் சுக்கோத்திலிருந்து பிரயாணப்பட்டு, வனாந்தரத்தின் ஓரமாய் ஏத்தாமிலே பாளயமிறங்கினார்கள்.

20. And they brake up from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, at the edge of the desert.

21. அவர்கள் இரவும் பகலும் வழிநடக்கக்கூடும்படிக்கு, கர்த்தர் பகலில் அவர்களை வழிநடத்த மேகஸ்தம்பத்திலும், இரவில் அவர்களுக்கு வெளிச்சங்காட்ட அக்கினிஸ்தம்பத்திலும் அவர்களுக்கு முன் சென்றார்.
1 கொரிந்தியர் 10:1

21. Now, Yahweh, was going before them by day, in a pillar of cloud to lead them the way, and by night, in a pillar of fire to give them light, that they might journey day and night:

22. பகலிலே மேகஸ்தம்பமும், இரவிலே அக்கினிஸ்தம்பமும் ஜனங்களிடத்திலிருந்து விலகிப்போகவில்லை.
1 கொரிந்தியர் 10:1

22. the pillar of cloud by day ceased not, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.
