1. என் இரட்சிப்பின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, இரவும் பகலும் உம்மை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிறேன்.

2. Let my prayer enter into thy presence; incline thine ear unto my cry:

3. என் ஆத்துமா துக்கத்தால் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது; என் ஜீவன் பாதாளத்திற்குச் சமீபமாய் வந்திருக்கிறது.

3. For my soul is full of troubles, and my life draweth nigh unto Sheol.

4. நான் குழியில் இறங்குகிறவர்களோடு எண்ணப்பட்டு, பெலனற்ற மனுஷனைப்போலானேன்.

4. I am counted with them that go down into the pit; I am as a man that hath no help:

5. மரித்தவர்களில் ஒருவனைப்போல் நெகிழப்பட்டிருக்கிறேன்; நீர் இனி ஒருபோதும் நினையாதபடி, உமது கையால் அறுப்புண்டுபோய்ப் பிரேதக்குழிகளிலே கிடக்கிறவர்களைப்போலானேன்.

5. Cast off among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom thou rememberest no more; and they are cut off from thy hand.

6. என்னைப் பாதாளக்குழியிலும் இருளிலும் ஆழங்களிலும் வைத்தீர்.

6. Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in dark places, in the deeps.

7. உம்முடைய கோபம் என்னை இருத்துகிறது; உம்முடைய அலைகள் எல்லாவற்றினாலும் என்னை வருத்தப்படுத்துகிறீர். (சேலா)

7. Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, and thou hast afflicted me with all thy waves. Selah

8. எனக்கு அறிமுகமானவர்களை எனக்குத் தூரமாக விலக்கி, அவர்களுக்கு என்னை அருவருப்பாக்கினீர்; நான் வெளியே புறப்படக்கூடாதபடி அடைபட்டிருக்கிறேன்.

9. துக்கத்தினால் என் கண் தொய்ந்துபோயிற்று; கர்த்தாவே, அநுதினமும் நான் உம்மை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டு, உமக்கு நேராக என் கைகளை விரிக்கிறேன்.

9. Mine eye wasteth away by reason of affliction: I have called daily upon thee, O LORD, I have spread forth my hands unto thee.

10. மரித்தவர்களுக்கு அதிசயங்களைச் செய்வீரோ? செத்துப்போன வீரர் எழுந்து உம்மைத் துதிப்பார்களோ? (சேலா)

10. Wilt thou shew wonders to the dead? shall they that are deceased arise and praise thee? Selah

11. பிரேதக்குழியில் உமது கிருபையும், அழிவில் உமது உண்மையும் விவரிக்கப்படுமோ?

11. Shall thy lovingkindness be declared in the grave? or thy faithfulness in Destruction?

12. இருளில் உமது அதிசயங்களும், மறதியின் பூமியில் உமது நீதியும் அறியப்படுமோ?

12. Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?

13. நானோ கர்த்தாவே, உம்மை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிறேன்; காலையிலே என் விண்ணப்பம் உமக்கு முன்பாக வரும்.

13. But unto thee, O LORD, have I cried, and in the morning shall my prayer come before thee.

14. கர்த்தாவே, ஏன் என் ஆத்துமாவைத் தள்ளிவிடுகிறீர்? ஏன் உமது முகத்தை எனக்கு மறைக்கிறீர்?

14. LORD, why castest thou off my soul? why hidest thou thy face from me?

15. சிறுவயதுமுதல் நான் சிறுமைப்பட்டவனும் மாண்டுபோகிறவனுமாயிருக்கிறேன்; உம்மால் வரும் திகில்கள் என்மேல் சுமந்திருக்கிறது, நான் மனங்கலங்குகிறேன்.

15. I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up: while I suffer thy terrors I am distracted.

16. உம்முடைய எரிச்சல்கள் என்மேல் புரண்டுபோகிறது; உம்முடைய பயங்கரங்கள் என்னை அதம்பண்ணுகிறது.

16. Thy fierce wrath is gone over me; thy terrors have cut me off.

17. அவைகள் நாடோறும் தண்ணீரைப்போல் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்து, ஏகமாய் என்னை வளைந்து கொள்ளுகிறது.

17. They came round about me like water all the day long; they compassed me about together.

18. சிநேகிதனையும் தோழனையும் எனக்குத் தூரமாக விலக்கினீர்; எனக்கு அறிமுகமானவர்கள் மறைந்து போனார்கள்.

18. Lover and friend hast thou put far from me, and mine acquaintance into darkness.
