1. தேவனே, என்னை இரட்சியும்; வெள்ளங்கள் என் ஆத்துமாமட்டும் பெருகிவருகிறது.

1. Save me, O God; for the waters are come in to [my] soul.

2. I sink in deep mire, where [there is] no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.

3. I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: my eyes fail while I wait for my God.

4. They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head: they that would destroy me, [being] my enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored [that] which I took not away.

5. O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.

6. Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel.

9. For the zeal of thy house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee have fallen upon me.

10. When I wept, [and chastened] my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach.

12. They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I [was] the song of the drunkards.

13. ஆனாலும் கர்த்தாவே, அநுக்கிரககாலத்திலே உம்மை நோக்கி விண்ணப்பஞ்செய்கிறேன்; தேவனே, உமது மிகுந்த கிருபையினாலும் உமது இரட்சிப்பின் சத்தியத்தினாலும் எனக்குச் செவிகொடுத்தருளும்.

13. But as for me, my prayer [is] to thee, O LORD, [in] an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

14. நான் அமிழ்ந்திப்போகாதபடிக்குச் சேற்றினின்று என்னைத் தூக்கிவிடும்; என்னைப் பகைக்கிறவர்களினின்றும் நிலையாத ஜலத்தினின்றும் நான் நீங்கும்படி செய்யும்.

14. Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.

15. ஜலப்பிரவாகங்கள் என்மேல் புரளாமலும், ஆழம் என்னை விழுங்காமலும், பாதாளம் என்மேல் தன் வாயை அடைத்துக்கொள்ளாமலும் இருப்பதாக.

15. Let not the water flood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.

16. கர்த்தாவே, என் விண்ணப்பத்தைக் கேட்டருளும், உம்முடைய தயை நலமாயிருக்கிறது; உமது உருக்கமான இரக்கங்களின்படி என்னைக் கடாட்சித்தருளும்.

16. Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness [is] good: turn to me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.

17. And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily.

18. Draw near to my soul, [and] redeem it: deliver me because of my enemies.

19. தேவரீர் என் நிந்தையையும் என் வெட்கத்தையும் என் அவமானத்தையும் அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்; என் சத்துருக்கள் எல்லாரும் உமக்கு முன்பாக இருக்கிறார்கள்.

19. Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: my adversaries [are] all before thee.

20. நிந்தை என் இருதயத்தைப் பிளந்தது; நான் மிகவும் வேதனைப்படுகிறேன்; எனக்காக பரிதபிக்கிறவனுண்டோ என்று காத்திருந்தேன், ஒருவனும் இல்லை; தேற்றுகிறவர்களுக்குக் காத்திருந்தேன், ஒருவனையும் காணேன்.

20. Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked [for some] to take pity, but [there was] none; and for comforters, but I found none.

21. They gave me also gall for my food; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

28. Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.

29. But I [am] poor and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high.

30. தேவனுடைய நாமத்தைப் பாட்டினால் துதித்து, அவரை ஸ்தோத்திரத்தினால் மகிமைப்படுத்துவேன்.

30. I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

31. கொம்பும் விரிகுளம்புமுள்ள காளையெருதைப்பார்க்கிலும், இதுவே கர்த்தருக்குப் பிரியமாயிருக்கும்.

31. [This] also shall please the LORD better than an ox [or] bull that hath horns and hoofs.

32. சாந்தகுணமுள்ளவர்கள் இதைக் கண்டு சந்தோஷப்படுவார்கள்; தேவனைத் தேடுகிறவர்களே, உங்கள் இருதயம் வாழும்.

32. The humble shall see [this, and] be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.

33. கர்த்தர் எளியவர்களின் விண்ணப்பத்தைக் கேட்கிறார், கட்டுண்ட தம்முடையவர்களை அவர் புறக்கணியார்.

33. For the LORD heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners.

34. வானமும் பூமியும் சமுத்திரங்களும் அவைகளில் சஞ்சரிக்கிறயாவும் அவரைத் துதிக்கக்கடவது.

34. Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and every thing that moveth in it.

35. தேவன் சீயோனை இரட்சித்து, யூதாவின் பட்டணங்களைக் கட்டுவார்; அப்பொழுது அங்கே குடியிருந்து அதைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்வார்கள்.

35. For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell there, and have it in possession.

36. அவருடைய ஊழியக்காரரின் சந்ததியார் அதைச் சுதந்தரித்துக் கொள்வார்கள்; அவருடைய நாமத்தை நேசிக்கிறவர்கள் அதில் வாசமாயிருப்பார்கள்.

36. The seed also of his servants shall inherit it: and they that love his name shall dwell in it.
