1. தேவனே, நீர் என்னுடைய தேவன்; அதிகாலமே உம்மைத் தேடுகிறேன்; வறண்டதும் விடாய்த்ததும் தண்ணீரற்றதுமான நிலத்திலே என் ஆத்துமா உம்மேல் தாகமாயிருக்கிறது, என் மாம்சமானது உம்மை வாஞ்சிக்கிறது.

1. A Psalm of David, when he was in the Wilderness of Edom. O God, my God, I cry to You early; my soul has thirsted for You: how often has my flesh [longed] after You, in a barren and trackless and dry land!

2. இப்படியே பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தில் உம்மைப்பார்க்க ஆசையாயிருந்து, உமது வல்லமையையும் உமது மகிமையையும் கண்டேன்.

2. Thus have I appeared before You in the sanctuary, that I might see Your power and Your glory.

3. ஜீவனைப்பார்க்கிலும் உமது கிருபை நல்லது; என் உதடுகள் உம்மைத் துதிக்கும்.

3. For Your mercy is better than life: my lips shall praise You.

4. என் ஜீவனுள்ளமட்டும் நான் உம்மைத் துதித்து, உமது நாமத்தைச் சொல்லிக் கையெடுப்பேன்.

4. Thus will I bless You during my life: I will lift up my hands in Your name.

5. நிணத்தையும் கொழுப்பையும் உண்டதுபோல என் ஆத்துமா திருப்தியாகும்; என் வாய் ஆனந்தக்களிப்புள்ள உதடுகளால் உம்மைப் போற்றும்.

5. Let my soul be filled as with marrow and fatness; and [my] joyful lips shall praise Your name.

6. என் படுக்கையின்மேல் நான் உம்மை நினைக்கும்போது, இராச்சாமங்களில் உம்மைத் தியானிக்கிறேன்.

6. For I have remembered You on my bed; in the early seasons I have meditated on You.

7. நீர் எனக்குத் துணையாயிருந்ததினால், உமது செட்டைகளின் நிழலிலே களிகூருகிறேன்.

7. For You have been my helper, and in the shelter of Your wings will I rejoice.

8. என் ஆத்துமா உம்மைத் தொடர்ந்து பற்றிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது; உமது வலதுகரம் என்னைத் தாங்குகிறது.

8. My soul has kept very close behind You: Your right hand has upheld me.

9. என் பிராணனை அழிக்கத் தேடுகிறவர்களோ, பூமியின் தாழ்விடங்களில் இறங்குவார்கள்.

9. But they vainly sought after my soul; they shall go into the lowest parts of the earth.

10. அவர்கள் பட்டயத்தால் விழுவார்கள்; நரிகளுக்கு இரையாவார்கள்.

10. They shall be delivered up to the power of the sword; they shall be portions for jackals.

11. ராஜாவோ தேவனில் களிகூருவார்; அவர்பேரில் சத்தியம்பண்ணுகிறவர்கள் யாவரும் மேன்மை பாராட்டுவார்கள்; பொய் பேசுகிறவர்களின் வாய் அடைக்கப்படும்.

11. But the king shall rejoice in God; everyone that swears by Him shall be praised; for the mouth of them that speak unjust things has been stopped.
