1. கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய கோபத்திலே என்னைக் கடிந்துகொள்ளாதேயும், உம்முடைய உக்கிரத்திலே என்னைத் தண்டியாதேயும்.

2. என்மேல் இரக்கமாயிரும் கர்த்தாவே, நான் பெலனற்றுப்போனேன்; என்னைக் குணமாக்கும் கர்த்தாவே, என் எலும்புகள் நடுங்குகின்றன.

3. என் ஆத்துமா மிகவும் வியாகுலப்படுகிறது; கர்த்தாவே, எதுவரைக்கும் இரங்காதிருப்பீர்.

3. Yea, my soul, is dismayed greatly, Thou, then, O Yahweh how long?

4. திரும்பும் கர்த்தாவே, என் ஆத்துமாவை விடுவியும்; உம்முடைய கிருபையினிமித்தம் என்னை இரட்சியும்.

4. Return, O Yahweh, deliver my soul, Save me, for the sake of thy lovingkindness;

5. மரணத்தில் உம்மை நினைவுகூர்வதில்லை, பாதாளத்தில் உம்மைத் துதிப்பவன் யார்?

5. For, in death, is no remembrance of thee, In hades, who shall give thanks unto thee?

6. என் பெருமூச்சினால் இளைத்துப்போனேன்; இராமுழுவதும் என் கண்ணீரால் என் படுக்கையை மிகவும் ஈரமாக்கி, என் கட்டிலை நனைக்கிறேன்.

6. I am weary with my sighing, I flood, through the whole night, my couch, With my tears, I cause, my bed, to dissolve:

7. துயரத்தினால் என் கண் குழி விழுந்துபோயிற்று, என் சத்துருக்கள் அனைவர் நிமித்தமும் மங்கிப்போயிற்று.

7. My face, is all sunken with sorrow, it hath aged, because of all mine adversaries.

8. அக்கிரமக்காரரே, நீங்கள் எல்லாரும் என்னைவிட்டு அகன்றுபோங்கள்; கர்த்தர் என் அழுகையின் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டார்.

8. Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity, for Yahweh hath heard the voice of my weeping:

9. கர்த்தர் என் விண்ணப்பத்தைக் கேட்டார்; கர்த்தர் என் ஜெபத்தை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுவார்.

9. Yahweh, hath heard my supplication, Yahweh, will receive, my prayer.

10. என் பகைஞர் எல்லாரும் வெட்கி மிகவும் கலங்கிப்போவார்கள்; அவர்கள் பின்னாகத் திரும்பிச் சடிதியிலே வெட்கப்படுவார்கள்.

10. Let all my foes, turn pale and be greatly dismayed, Again let them turn pale in a moment.
