1. தேவனே, உமது கிருபையின்படி எனக்கு இரங்கும், உமது மிகுந்த இரக்கங்களின்படி என் மீறுதல்கள் நீங்க என்னைச் சுத்திகரியும்.

1. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy loving kindness. According to the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

4. Against thee, thee only, I have sinned, and done that which is evil in thy sight, that thou may be justified when thou speak, and may prevail when thou are criticized .

5. Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me.

6. Behold, thou desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part thou will make me to know wisdom.

7. Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean. Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

8. நான் சந்தோஷமும் மகிழ்ச்சியும் கேட்கும்படிச் செய்யும், அப்பொழுது நீர் நொறுக்கின எலும்புகள் களிகூரும்.

8. Make me to hear joy and gladness, that the bones which thou have broken may rejoice.

9. என் பாவங்களைப் பாராதபடிக்கு நீர் உமது முகத்தை மறைத்து, என் அக்கிரமங்களையெல்லாம் நீக்கியருளும்.

9. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities.

10. தேவனே, சுத்த இருதயத்தை என்னிலே சிருஷ்டியும், நிலைவரமான ஆவியை என் உள்ளத்திலே புதுப்பியும்.

10. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

11. உமது சமுகத்தை விட்டு என்னைத் தள்ளாமலும், உமது பரிசுத்த ஆவியை என்னிடத்திலிருந்து எடுத்துக்கொள்ளாமலும் இரும்.

11. Cast me not away from thy presence, and take not thy holy Spirit from me.

12. உமது இரட்சணியத்தின் சந்தோஷத்தைத் திரும்பவும் எனக்குத் தந்து, உற்சாகமான ஆவி என்னைத் தாங்கும்படி செய்யும்.

12. Restore to me the joy of thy salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.

13. அப்பொழுது பாதகருக்கு உமது வழிகளை உபதேசிப்பேன்; பாவிகள் உம்மிடத்தில் மனந்திரும்புவார்கள்.

13. Then I will teach transgressors thy ways, and sinners shall be converted to thee.

14. தேவனே, என்னை இரட்சிக்குந்தேவனே, இரத்தப்பழிகளுக்கு என்னை நீங்கலாக்கிவிடும்; அப்பொழுது என் நாவு உம்முடைய நீதியைக் கெம்பீரமாய்ப் பாடும்.

14. Deliver me from blood guiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation. And my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.

15. ஆண்டவரே, என் உதடுகளைத் திறந்தருளும்; அப்பொழுது என் வாய் உம்முடைய புகழை அறிவிக்கும்.

15. O LORD, open thou my lips, and my mouth shall show forth thy praise.

16. பலியை நீர் விரும்புகிறதில்லை, விரும்பினால் செலுத்துவேன்; தகனபலியும் உமக்குப் பிரியமானதல்ல.

16. For thou delight not in sacrifice, else I would give it. Thou have no pleasure in burnt-offering.

17. தேவனுக்கேற்கும் பலிகள் நொறுங்குண்ட ஆவிதான்; தேவனே, நொறுங்குண்டதும் நருங்குண்டதுமான இருதயத்தை நீர் புறக்கணியீர்.

17. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, thou will not despise.

18. சீயோனுக்கு உமது பிரியத்தின்படி நன்மை செய்யும்; எருசலேமின் மதில்களைக் கட்டுவீராக.

18. Do good in thy good pleasure to Zion. Build thou the walls of Jerusalem.

19. அப்பொழுது தகனபலியும் சர்வாங்க தகனபலியுமாகிய நீதியின் பலிகளில் பிரியப்படுவீர்; அப்பொழுது உமது பீடத்தின்மேல் காளைகளைப் பலியிடுவார்கள்.

19. Then thou will delight in the sacrifices of righteousness, in burnt-offering and in whole burnt-offering. Then they will offer bullocks upon thine altar.
