1. கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய கோபத்தில் என்னைக் கடிந்துகொள்ளாதேயும்; உம்முடைய உக்கிரத்தில் என்னைத் தண்டியாதேயும்.

1. To the Chanter, to bring to remembrance Put me not to rebuke (Oh LORD) in thy anger: Oh chasten me not in thy heavy displeasure.

2. உம்முடைய அம்புகள் எனக்குள்ளே தைத்திருக்கிறது; உமது கை என்னை இருத்துகிறது.

2. For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore.

3. உமது கோபத்தினால் என் மாம்சத்தில் ஆரோக்கியமில்லை; என் பாவத்தினால் என் எலும்புகளில் சவுக்கியமில்லை.

3. There is no whole part in my body, because of thy displeasure: there is no rest in my bones, by reason of my sins.

4. என் அக்கிரமங்கள் என் தலைக்கு மேலாகப் பெருகிற்று, அவைகள் பாரச்சுமையைப்போல என்னால் தாங்கக்கூடாத பாரமாயிற்று.

4. For my wickednesses are gone over my head, and are like a sore burthen, too heavy for me to bear.

5. என் மதிகேட்டினிமித்தம் என் புண்கள் அழுகி நாற்றமெடுத்தது.

5. My wounds stink and are corrupt, thorow my foolishness.

6. நான் வேதனைப்பட்டு ஒடுங்கினேன்; நாள் முழுவதும் துக்கப்பட்டுத் திரிகிறேன்.

6. I am brought into so great trouble and misery, that I go mourning all the day long.

7. என் குடல்கள் எரிபந்தமாய் எரிகிறது; என் மாம்சத்தில் ஆரோக்கியம் இல்லை.

7. For my loins are clean dried up, and there is no whole part in my body.

8. நான் பெலனற்றுப்போய், மிகவும் நொறுக்கப்பட்டேன்; என் இருதயத்தின் கொந்தளிப்பினால் கதறுகிறேன்.

8. I am feeble and sore smitten, I roar for the very disquietness of my heart.

9. ஆண்டவரே, என் ஏங்கலெல்லாம் உமக்கு முன்பாக இருக்கிறது; என் தவிப்பு உமக்கு மறைவாயிருக்கவில்லை.

9. Lord,(LORDE) thou knowest all my desire, and my groaning is not hid from thee.

10. என் உள்ளம் குழம்பி அலைகிறது; என் பெலன் என்னை விட்டு விலகி, என் கண்களின் ஒளி முதலாய் இல்லாமற்போயிற்று.

10. My heart panteth, my strength hath failed me, and the light of mine eyes is gone from me.

11. என் சிநேகிதரும் என் தோழரும் என் வாதையைக் கண்டு விலகுகிறார்கள்; என் இனத்தாரும் தூரத்திலே நிற்கிறார்கள்.

11. My lovers and friends stand looking upon my trouble, and my kinsmen are gone afar off.

12. என் பிராணனை வாங்கத்தேடுகிறவர்கள் எனக்குக் கண்ணிகளை வைக்கிறார்கள்; எனக்குப் பொல்லாங்கு தேடுகிறவர்கள் கேடானவைகளைப் பேசி, நாள்முழுவதும் வஞ்சனைகளை யோசிக்கிறார்கள்.

12. They that sought after my life, and to do me evil, spake of lies and imagined deceit(disceate) all the day long.

13. நானோ செவிடனைப்போலக் கேளாதவனாகவும், ஊமையனைப்போல வாய் திறவாதவனாகவும் இருக்கிறேன்.

13. As for me, I was like a deaf man and heard not: as one that were dumb, not opening his mouth.

14. காதுகேளாதவனும், தன் வாயில் மறுஉத்தரவுகள் இல்லாதவனுமாயிருக்கிற மனுஷனைப் போலானேன்.

14. I am become as a man that heareth not: and that can make no resistance with his mouth.

15. கர்த்தாவே, உமக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறேன்; என் தேவனாகிய ஆண்டவரே, நீர் மறுஉத்தரவு கொடுப்பீர்.

15. For in thee, O LORD, is my trust, thou shalt hear me, O Lord(LORDE) my God.

16. அவர்கள் என்னிமித்தம் சந்தோஷப்படாதபடிக்கு இப்படிச் சொன்னேன்; என் கால் தவறும்போது என்மேல் பெருமை பாராட்டுவார்களே.

16. My desire is, that mine enemies triumph not over me: for if my foot slip, they rejoice greatly against me.

17. நான் தடுமாறி விழ ஏதுவாயிருக்கிறேன்; என் துக்கம் எப்பொழுதும் என் முன்பாக இருக்கிறது.

17. I am ready to suffer trouble, and my heaviness is ever in my sight.

18. என் அக்கிரமத்தை நான் அறிக்கையிட்டு, என் பாவத்தினிமித்தம் விசாரப்படுகிறேன்.

18. For I confess my wickedness, and my sin grieveth me.

19. என் சத்துருக்கள் வாழ்ந்து பலத்திருக்கிறார்கள்; முகாந்தரமில்லாமல் என்னைப் பகைக்கிறவர்கள் பெருகியிருக்கிறார்கள்.

19. But mine enemies live, and are mighty: and they that hate me without a cause, are many in number.

20. நான் நன்மையைப் பின்பற்றுகிறபடியால், நன்மைக்குத் தீமை செய்கிறவர்கள் என்னை விரோதிக்கிறார்கள்.

20. They that reward me evil for good, speak evil of me, because I follow the thing that good is.

21. கர்த்தாவே, என்னைக் கைவிடாதேயும்; என் தேவனே, எனக்குத் தூரமாயிராதேயும்.

21. Forsake me not (O LORD my God) O go not far from me.

22. என் இரட்சிப்பாகிய ஆண்டவரே, எனக்குச் சகாயஞ்செய்யத் தீவிரியும்.

22. Haste thee to help me, O Lord(LORDE) my succour.
