1. [A Psalm] of instruction by David. Blessed [are they] whose transgressions are forgiven, and who sins are covered.

2. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin, and in whose mouth there is no guile.

5. I acknowledged my sin, and hid not my iniquity; I said, I will confess my iniquity to the Lord; and You forgave the ungodliness of my heart. Pause.

6. இதற்காகச் சகாயங்கிடைக்குங்காலத்தில் பக்தியுள்ளவனெவனும் உம்மை நோக்கி விண்ணப்பஞ் செய்வான்; அப்பொழுது மிகுந்த ஜலப்பிரவாகம் வந்தாலும் அது அவனை அணுகாது.

6. Therefore shall every holy one pray to You in a fit time; only in the deluge of many waters they shall not come near to Him.

7. நீர் எனக்கு மறைவிடமாயிருக்கிறீர்; என்னை நீர் இக்கட்டுக்கு விலக்கிக்காத்து, இரட்சணியப் பாடல்கள் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்துகொள்ளும்படி செய்வீர். (சேலா)

7. You are my refuge from the affliction that encompasses me; my joy, to deliver me from them that have compassed me. Pause.

8. நான் உனக்குப் போதித்து, நீ நடக்கவேண்டிய வழியை உனக்குக் காட்டுவேன்; உன்மேல் என் கண்ணை வைத்து, உனக்கு ஆலோசனை சொல்லுவேன்.

8. I will instruct you and guide you in the way you should go; I will fix My eyes upon you.

9. வாரினாலும் கடிவாளத்தினாலும் வாய் கட்டப்பட்டாலொழிய, உன் கிட்டச் சேராத புத்தியில்லாக் குதிரையைப்போலவும் கோவேறு கழுதையைப்போலவும் இருக்கவேண்டாம்.

9. Be not as the horse and mule, which have no understanding; [but you must] constrain their jaws with bit and bridle, lest they should come near to you.

10. துன்மார்க்கனுக்கு அநேக வேதனைகளுண்டு; கர்த்தரை நம்பியிருக்கிறவனையோ கிருபை சூழ்ந்து கொள்ளும்.

10. Many are the scourges of the sinner; but him that hopes in the Lord, mercy shall surround him.

11. நீதிமான்களே, கர்த்தருக்குள் மகிழ்ந்து களிகூருங்கள்; செம்மையான இருதயமுள்ளவர்களே, நீங்கள் எல்லாரும் ஆனந்தமுழக்கமிடுங்கள்.

11. Be glad in the Lord, and exalt, you righteous; and shout for joy, all you that are upright in heart!
