1. PRAISE THE Lord! (Hallelujah!) Praise the Lord, O my soul!

2. நான் உயிரோடிருக்குமட்டும் கர்த்தரைத் துதிப்பேன்; நான் உள்ளளவும் என் தேவனைக் கீர்த்தனம் பண்ணுவேன்.

2. While I live will I praise the Lord; I will sing praises to my God while I have any being.

3. பிரபுக்களையும், இரட்சிக்கத்திராணியில்லாத மனுபுத்திரனையும் நம்பாதேயுங்கள்.

3. Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no help.

4. அவனுடைய ஆவி பிரியும், அவன் தன் மண்ணுக்குத் திரும்புவான்; அந்நாளிலே அவன் யோசனைகள் அழிந்துபோகும்.

5. யாக்கோபின் தேவனைத் தன் துணையாகக் கொண்டிருந்து, தன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர்மேல் நம்பிக்கையை வைக்கிறவன் பாக்கியவான்.

5. Happy (blessed, fortunate, enviable) is he who has the God of [special revelation to] Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God, [Gen. 32:30.]

8. குருடரின் கண்களைக் கர்த்தர் திறக்கிறார்; மடங்கடிக்கப்பட்டவர்களைக் கர்த்தர் தூக்கிவிடுகிறார். நீதிமான்களைக் கர்த்தர் சிநேகிக்கிறார்.

8. The Lord opens the eyes of the blind, the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down, the Lord loves the [uncompromisingly] righteous (those upright in heart and in right standing with Him). [Luke 13:13; John 9:7, 32.]

9. பரதேசிகளைக் கர்த்தர் காப்பாற்றுகிறார்; அவர் திக்கற்ற பிள்ளையையும் விதவையையும் ஆதரிக்கிறார்; துன்மார்க்கரின் வழியையோ கவிழ்த்துப் போடுகிறார்.

9. The Lord protects and preserves the strangers and temporary residents, He upholds the fatherless and the widow and sets them upright, but the way of the wicked He makes crooked (turns upside down and brings to ruin).

10. கர்த்தர் சதாகாலங்களிலும் அரசாளுகிறார்; சீயோனே, உன் தேவன் தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாகவும் ராஜரிகம்பண்ணுகிறார். அல்லேலூயா.

10. The Lord shall reign forever, even Your God, O Zion, from generation to generation. Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!) [Ps. 10:16; Rev. 11:15.]
