1. பின்னும் எலிகூ:

1. Elihu also proceeded, and saide:

2. நான் பேசிமுடியுமட்டும் சற்றேபொறும்; இன்னும் தேவன் பட்சத்தில் நான் சொல்லவேண்டிய நியாயங்களை உமக்குச் சொல்லிக்காண்பிப்பேன்.

2. Holde thee still a litle, & I shall shew thee what I haue yet to speake on gods behalfe.

3. நான் தூரத்திலிருந்து என் ஞானத்தைக் கொண்டுவந்து, என்னை உண்டாக்கினவருடைய நீதியை விளங்கப்பண்ணுவேன்.

3. I wyll open vnto thee yet farre higher knowledge, and wil ascribe righteousnesse vnto my maker.

4. மெய்யாகவே என் வார்த்தைகள் பொய்யற்றிருக்கும்; உம்மோடே பேசுகிறவன் அறிவில் தேறினவன்.

4. And truely my wordes shall not be vaine, seeing he is with thee that is perfect in knowledge.

5. இதோ, தேவன் மகத்துவமுள்ளவர், அவர் ஒருவரையும் புறக்கணியார்; மன உருக்கத்திலும் அவர் மகத்துவமுள்ளவர்.

5. Beholde, the great God casteth away no man, for he him selfe is mightie in power and wysdome.

6. அவர் துன்மார்க்கரைப் பிழைக்க ஒட்டாதிருக்கிறார்; சிறுமையானவர்களின் நியாயத்தை விசாரிக்கிறார்.

6. As for the vngodly he shall not preserue him, but shall helpe the poore to their right.

7. அவர் தம்முடைய கண்களை நீதிமான்களைவிட்டு விலக்காமல், அவர்களை ராஜாக்களோடே கூட சிங்காசனத்தில் ஏறவும், உயர்ந்த ஸ்தலத்தில் என்றைக்கும் உட்கார்ந்திருக்கவும் செய்கிறார்.

7. He shal not turne his eyes away from the righteous, but as kinges shal they be in their throne, he shal stablish them for euer, and they shalbe exalted.

8. அவர்கள் விலங்குகள் போடப்பட்டு, உபத்திரவத்தின் கயிறுகளால் கட்டப்பட்டிருந்தாலும்,

8. But if they be layde in chaynes, or bounde with the bondes of trouble,

9. அவர், அவர்கள் கிரியையையும், மிஞ்சிப்போன அவர்களுடைய மீறுதல்களையும் அவர்களுக்குத் தெரியப்படுத்தி,

9. Then wyll he shew them their worke, & their sinnes which haue ouercome them.

10. அக்கிரமத்தை விட்டுத் திரும்பும்படி அவர்கள் செவியைத் திறந்து கடிந்துகொள்ளுகிறார்.

10. He with punishing and nurturing of them, roundeth them in the eares, warneth them to leaue of from their wickednesse, and to amende.

11. அவர்கள் அடங்கி அவரைச் சேவித்தால், தங்கள் நாட்களை நன்மையாகவும், தங்கள் வருஷங்களைச் செல்வவாழ்வாகவும் போக்குவார்கள்.

11. If they now wyll take heede & serue him, they shal weare out their dayes in prosperitie, and their yeres in pleasure.

12. அடங்கார்களேயாகில் பட்டயத்துக்கு இரையாகி, ஞானம் அடையாமல் மாண்டுபோவார்கள்.

12. But if they wil not hearken, they shal go through the sworde, and perishe or euer they be aware.

13. மாயமுள்ள இருதயத்தார் குரோதத்தைக் குவித்துக்கொள்ளுகிறார்கள்; அவர்களை அவர் கட்டிவைக்கும்போது கெஞ்சிக் கூப்பிடுவார்கள்.

13. As for hypocrites in heart, they shall heape vp wrath [for them selues] for they call not vpon him, though they be his prisoners.

14. அவர்கள் வாலவயதிலே மாண்டுபோவார்கள்; இலச்சையானவர்களுக்குள்ளே அவர்கள் பிராணன் முடியும்.

14. Thus shal their soule perishe in foolishnes, and their lyfe among the fornicatours.

15. சிறுமைப்பட்டவர்களை அவர் சிறுமைக்கு நீங்கலாக்கி, அவர்கள் ஒடுக்கப்பட்டிருக்கையில் அவர்கள் செவியைத் திறக்கிறார்.

15. The poore shall he deliuer out of his affliction, and rounde them in the eare when they be in trouble.

16. அப்படியே அவர் உம்மையும் நெருக்கத்தினின்று விலக்கி, ஒடுக்கமில்லாத விசாலத்திலே வைப்பார்; உம்முடைய போஜனபந்தி கொழுமையான பதார்த்தங்களால் நிறைந்திருக்கும்.

16. Euen so would he take thee out of the straite place, into a brode place in the which there is no straitnes: yea, & make thy table quiet replenished with fatnesse.

17. ஆகாதவன்மேல் வரும் நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு நிறைவேறப் பார்ப்பீர்; நியாயமும் நீதியும் உம்மை ஆதரிக்கும்.

17. Neuerthelesse, thou hast commended the iudgement of the vngodly, and euen such a iudgement & sentence shalt thou suffer.

18. உக்கிரமுண்டாயிருக்கிறதினால் அவர் உம்மை ஒரு அடியினால் வாரிக்கொண்டுபோகாதபடிக்கு எச்சரிக்கையாயிரும்; அப்பொழுது மீட்கும் பொருளை மிகுதியாய்க் கொடுத்தாலும் அதற்கு நீர் நீங்கலாகமாட்டீர்.

18. And seeing there is wrath with God, beware lest he take thee away in thy wealth, & all that thou hast to redeeme thee can not deliuer thee.

19. உம்முடைய செல்வத்தை அவர் மதிப்பாரோ? உம்முடைய பொன்னையும், பூரண பராக்கிரமத்தையும் அவர் மதிக்கமாட்டாரே.

19. Thinkest thou that he wyll regarde thy riches? he shall not care for golde, nor for all them that excell in strength.

20. ஜனங்கள் தங்கள் இடத்தைவிட்டு வாரிக்கொள்ளப்படப்போகிற இரவை வாஞ்சிக்காதிரும்.

20. Spend not the night in carefull thoughtes, how he destroyeth some, and bringeth other in their place.

21. அக்கிரமத்துக்குத் திரும்பாதபடிக்கு எச்சரிக்கையாயிரும்; உபத்திரவத்தைப்பார்க்கிலும் அக்கிரமத்தைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டீரே.

21. But beware that thou turne not aside to wickednesse and sinne, which hitherto thou hast chosen more then affliction.

22. இதோ, தேவன் தம்முடைய வல்லமையில் உயர்ந்திருக்கிறார்; அவரைப் போல் போதிக்கிறவர் யார்?

22. Beholde, God is of a mightie hie power: Where is there such a guide and lawe geuer as he?

23. அவருடைய வழியின் நியாயத்தை விசாரிக்கத்தக்கவன் யார்? நீர் அநியாயம் செய்தீர் என்று சொல்லத்தக்கவன் யார்?

23. Who wyll reproue him of his way? Who wil say vnto him, Thou hast done wrong?

24. மனுஷர் நோக்கிப்பார்க்கிற அவருடைய கிரியையை நீர் மகிமைப்படுத்த நினையும்.

24. Remember that thou do magnifie his worke which men do praise,

25. எல்லா மனுஷரும் அதைக் காண்கிறார்களே; தூரத்திலிருந்து அது மனுஷருக்கு வெளிப்படுகிறது.

25. All men see it, yea men do beholde it a farre of.

26. இதோ, தேவன் மகத்துவமுள்ளவர்; நாம் அவரை அறிய முடியாது; அவருடைய வருஷங்களின் இலக்கம் ஆராய்ந்து முடியாதது.

26. Beholde, so great is God that he passeth our knowledge, neither can the number of his yeres be searched out.

27. அவர் நீர்த்துளிகளை அணுவைப்போல ஏறப்பண்ணுகிறார்; அவைகள் மேகத்திலிருந்து மழையாய்ச் சொரிகிறது.

27. Sometime he restrayneth the rayne, and againe he sendeth rayne by his cloudes:

28. அதை மேகங்கள் பெய்து, மனுஷர்மேல் மிகுதியாய்ப் பொழிகிறது.

28. Which rayne the cloudes do droppe, and let fall aboundantly vpon men.

29. மேகங்களின் பரவுதலையும், அவருடைய கூடாரத்திலிருந்து எழும்பும் குமுறல்களையும் அறியமுடியுமோ?

29. Who can consider the spreadinges out of his cloudes, the coueringes of his tabernacle?

30. இதோ, அதின்மேல் தம்முடைய மின்னலின் ஒளியை விரிக்கிறார்; சமுத்திரத்தின் ஆழங்களையும் மூடுகிறார்.

30. Behold, he doth stretch his light vpon it, and couereth the bottome of the sea.

31. அவைகளால் ஜனங்களை தண்டிக்கிறவரும், ஆகாரங்கொடுத்து இரட்சிக்கிறவருமாயிருக்கிறார்.

31. For by these gouerneth he his people, and geueth them aboundance of meate.

32. அவர் மின்னலின் ஒளியைத் தமது கைக்குள்ளே மூடி, அது இன்னின்னதை அடிக்கவேண்டுமென்று கட்டளையிடுகிறார்.

32. With the cloudes he hydeth the light, and at his commaundement it breaketh out:

33. அதினால், அவர் செய்ய நினைக்கிறதையும், மந்தாரம் எழும்பப்போகிறதையும், ஆடுமாடுகள் அறியப்படுத்தும்.

33. Which dashing vpon the next cloudes, shew tokens of wrath.
