1. Iob aunswered, and saide:

2. என் வசனத்தைக் கவனமாய்க் கேளுங்கள்; இது நீங்கள் என்னைத் தேற்றரவுபண்ணுவதுபோல இருக்கும்.

2. O heare diligently my wordes, and that shalbe in steede of your consolations,

3. நான் பேசப்போகிறேன், சகித்திருங்கள்; நான் பேசினபின்பு பரியாசம்பண்ணுங்கள்.

3. Suffer me that I may speake, and when I haue spoken mocke on.

4. நான் மனுஷனைப்பார்த்தா அங்கலாய்க்கிறேன்? அப்படியானாலும் என் ஆவி விசனப்படாதிருக்குமா?

4. Is it for mans sake that I make this disputation? Which if it were so, shoulde not my spirite then be in sore trouble?

5. என்னைக் கவனித்துப்பாருங்கள், அப்பொழுது நீங்கள் பிரமித்து, உங்கள் வாயைக் கையால் பொத்திக்கொள்வீர்கள்.

5. Marke me [well] and be abashed, and lay your hande vpon your mouth.

6. இதை நான் நினைக்கையில் கலங்குகிறேன்; நடுக்கம் என் மாம்சத்தைப் பிடிக்கும்.

6. For when I consider [my selfe] I am afrayde, and my fleshe is smitten with feare.

7. துன்மார்க்கர் ஜீவித்து விருத்தராகி, வல்லவராவானேன்?

7. Wherefore do wicked men liue, come to their olde age, and increase in richesse?

8. அவர்களோடுங்கூட அவர்கள் சந்ததியார் அவர்களுக்கு முன்பாகவும், அவர்கள் பிள்ளைகள் அவர்கள் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாகவும் திடப்படுகிறார்கள்.

8. Their children lyue in their sight, and their generation before their eyes.

9. அவர்கள் வீடுகள் பயமில்லாமல் பத்திரப்பட்டிருக்கும்; தேவனுடைய மிலாறு அவர்கள்மேல் வருகிறதில்லை.

9. Their houses are safe from all feare, and the rod of God is not vpon them.

10. அவர்களுடைய எருது பொலிந்தால், வீணாய்ப்போகாது; அவர்களுடைய பசு சினை அழியாமல் ஈனுகிறது.

10. Their bullocke gendreth and that not out of time, their cowe calueth and is not vnfruitfull.

11. அவர்கள் தங்கள் குழந்தைகளை ஒரு மந்தையைப்போல வெளியே போகவிடுகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் பிள்ளைகள் குதித்து விளையாடுகிறார்கள்.

11. They sende foorth their children by flockes, & their sonnes [leade the] daunce.

12. அவர்கள் தம்புரையும் சுரமண்டலத்தையும் எடுத்துப் பாடி, கின்னரத்தின் ஓசைக்குச் சந்தோஷப்படுகிறார்கள்.

12. They beare with them tabrets and harpes, and reioyce in the sounde of the organs.

13. அவர்கள் செல்வவான்களாய்த் தங்கள் நாட்களைப் போக்கி, ஒரு க்ஷணப்பொழுதிலே பாதாளத்தில் இறங்குகிறார்கள்.

13. They spend their dayes in wealthines, but sodainely they go downe to the graue.

14. அவர்கள் தேவனை நோக்கி: எங்களைவிட்டு விலகியிரும், உம்முடைய வழிகளை அறிய விரும்போம்;

14. They say also vnto God: Go from vs, we desire not the knowledge of thy wayes.

15. சர்வவல்லவரை நாம் சேவிக்க அவர் யார்? அவரை நோக்கி ஜெபம்பண்ணுவதினால் நமக்குப் பிரயோஜனம் என்ன என்கிறார்கள்.

15. Who is the almightie that we should serue him? And what profite should we haue if we should pray vnto him?

16. ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் வாழ்வு அவர்கள் கையிலிராது; துன்மார்க்கரின் ஆலோசனை எனக்குத் தூரமாயிருப்பதாக.

16. Lo, there is vtterly no goodnesse in their hande, therefore wyll I not haue to do with the counsaile of the vngodly.

17. எத்தனைச் சடுதியில் துன்மார்க்கரின் விளக்கு அணைந்துபோகும்; அவர் தமது கோபத்தினால் வேதனைகளைப் பகிர்ந்துகொடுக்கையில், அவர்கள் ஆபத்து அவர்கள்மேல் வரும்.

17. How oft shall the candell of the wicked be put out, and their destruction come vpon them? O what sorowe shall God geue them for their part in his wrath?

18. அவர்கள் காற்றுமுகத்திலிருக்கிற துரும்பைப்போலவும், பெருங்காற்று பறக்கடிக்கிற பதரைப்போலவும் இருக்கிறார்கள்.

18. Yea, they shalbe euen as hay before the winde, and as chaffe that the storme carieth away.

19. தேவன் அவனுடைய அக்கிரமத்தை அவன் பிள்ளைகளுக்கு வைத்து வைக்கிறார்; அவன் உணரத்தக்கவிதமாய் அதை அவனுக்குப் பலிக்கப்பண்ணுகிறார்.

19. God wyll lay vp the sorowe of the father for his children: & when he rewardeth him, he shall know it.

20. அவனுடைய அழிவை அவனுடைய கண்கள் காணும், சர்வவல்லவருடைய உக்கிரத்தைக் குடிப்பான்.

20. Their owne miserie shal they see with their eyes, and drinke of the fearefull wrath of the almightie.

21. அவன் மாதங்களின் தொகை குறுக்கப்படும்போது, அவனுக்குப் பிற்பாடு அவன் வீட்டைப்பற்றி அவனுக்கு இருக்கும் விருப்பமென்ன?

21. For what careth he for his house after his death, when the number of his monethes is cut short?

22. உயர்ந்தோரை நியாயந்தீர்க்கிற தேவனுக்கு அறிவை உணர்த்த யாராலாகும்?

22. Seeing God hath the highest power of all, who can teache him any knowledge?

23. ஒருவன் நிர்வாகத்தோடும் சுகத்தோடும் வாழ்ந்து குறையற்ற பெலனுள்ளவனாய்ச் சாகிறான்.

23. One dyeth in his full strength, being in all ease and prosperitie,

24. அவனுடைய பால்பாத்திரங்கள் பாலால் நிரம்பியிருக்கிறது, அவன் எலும்புகளில் ஊன் புஷ்டியாயிருக்கிறது.

24. His breastes are full of milke, and his bones runne full of marowe.

25. வேறொருவன் ஒரு நாளாவது சந்தோஷத்தோடே சாப்பிடாமல், மனக்கிலேசத்தோடே சாகிறான்.

25. Another dyeth in the bitternes of his soule, and neuer eateth with pleasure.

26. இருவரும் சமமாய் மண்ணிலே படுத்துக்கொள்ளுகிறார்கள்; புழுக்கள் அவர்களை மூடும்.

26. They shall sleepe both alyke in the earth, and the wormes shall couer them.

27. இதோ, நான் உங்கள் நினைவுகளையும், நீங்கள் என்னைப்பற்றி அநியாயமாய்க் கொண்டிருக்கும் ஆலோசனைகளையும் அறிவேன்.

27. Beholde, I know what ye thinke, yea and the subtiltie that ye imagine against me.

28. பிரபுவினுடைய வீடு எங்கே? துன்மார்க்கருடைய கூடாரம் எங்கே? என்று சொல்லுகிறீர்கள்?

28. For ye say where is the princes palace? and where is the dwelling of the vngodly?

29. வழிநடந்துபோகிறவர்களை நீங்கள் கேட்கவில்லையா, அவர்கள் சொல்லும் குறிப்புகளை நீங்கள் அறியவில்லையா?

29. Haue ye not asked them that go by the way? Doubtlesse ye cannot denie their tokens,

30. துன்மார்க்கன் ஆபத்து நாளுக்கென்று வைக்கப்படுகிறான்; அவன் கோபாக்கினையின் நாளுக்கென்று கொண்டுவரப்படுகிறான்.

30. That the wicked is kept vnto the day of destruction, and the vngodly shalbe brought foorth to the day of wrath.

31. அவன் வழியை அவன் முகத்துக்கு முன்பாகத் தூண்டிக் காண்பிக்கிறவன் யார்? அவன் செய்கைக்குத் தக்க பலனை அவனுக்குச் சரிக்கட்டுகிறவன் யார்?

31. Who dare declare his way to his face? who wil rewarde him for that he doth?

32. அவன் கல்லறைக்குக் கொண்டுவரப்படுகிறான்; அவன் கோரி காக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும்.

32. Yet shall he be brought to his graue, and dwell among the heape [of the dead.]

33. பள்ளத்தாக்கின் புல்பத்தைகள் அவனுக்கு இன்பமாயிருக்கும்; அவனுக்கு முன்னாக எண்ணிறந்த ஜனங்கள் போனதுபோல, அவனுக்குப் பின்னாக ஒவ்வொருவரும் அவ்விடத்துக்குச் செல்லுவார்கள்.

33. Then shal the slymie valley be sweet vnto him, all men also must folowe him, as there are innumerable gone before him.

34. நீங்கள் வீணான ஆறுதலை எனக்குச் செல்லுகிறது என்ன? உங்கள் மறுமொழிகளில் உண்மைக்கேடு இருக்கிறது என்றான்.

34. Howe vayne then is the comfort that ye geue me, seyng falshood remayneth in all your aunsweres?
