1. பாஷாவுக்கு விரோதமாகக் கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை ஆனானியின் குமாரனாகிய யெகூவுக்கு உண்டாயிற்று, அவர்:

1. Then the worde of the Lorde came to Iehu the sonne of Hanani against Baasa, saying:

2. நான் உன்னைத் தூளிலிருந்து உயர்த்தி, உன்னை என் ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் தலைவனாக வைத்திருக்கையில், நீ யெரொபெயாமின் வழியிலே நடந்து, என் ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேல் தங்கள் பாவங்களால் எனக்குக் கோபமுண்டாக்கும்படி அவர்களைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணுகிறபடியினால்,

2. Forasmuch as I exalted thee out of the duste, and made thee captayne ouer my people Israel, and thou hast walked in the way of Ieroboam, and hast made my people Israel to sinne, to anger me with their sinnes:

3. இதோ, நான் பாஷாவின் பின்னடியாரையும் அவன் வீட்டாரின் பின்னடியாரையும் அழித்துப்போட்டு, உன் வீட்டை நேபாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் வீட்டைப்போல ஆக்குவேன்.

3. Beholde, I will roote out the posteritie of Baasa, and the posteritie of his house: and will make thy house lyke the house of Ieroboa the sonne of Nabat.

4. பாஷாவின் சந்ததியிலே பட்டணத்திலே சாகிறவனை நாய்கள் தின்னும்; வெளியிலே சாகிறவனை ஆகாயத்துப் பறவைகள் தின்னும் என்றார்.

4. That man of Baasa which dyeth in the citie, him shall the dogges eate: and that man of him which dyeth in the fieldes, shall the foules of the ayre eate.

5. பாஷாவின் மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்களும், அவன் செய்ததும், அவனுடைய வல்லமையும், இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

5. The rest of the wordes that concerne Baasa, and what he did, & his power, are they not written in the booke of the cronicles of the kinges of Israel?

6. பாஷா தன் பிதாக்களோடே நித்திரையடைந்து திர்சாவில் அடக்கம்பண்ணப்பட்டான்; அவன் குமாரனாகிய ஏலா அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.

6. And so Baasa slept with his fathers, and was buried in Thirza, and Ela his sonne raigned in his steade.

7. பாஷா தன் கைகளின் செய்கையால் கர்த்தருக்குக் கோபமுண்டாக்கி, அவர் பார்வைக்குச் செய்த எல்லாப் பொல்லாப்பினிமித்தமும், அவன் யெரொபெயாமின் வீட்டாரை வெட்டிப்போட்டதினிமித்தமும், இவர்களைப்போல் ஆவான் என்று அவனுக்கும் அவன் வீட்டுக்கும் விரோதமாக ஆனானியின் குமாரனாகிய யெகூ என்னும் தீர்க்கதரிசியினால் கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை பின்னும் உண்டாயிற்று.

7. And by the hande of the prophet Iehu the sonne of Hanani, came the worde of the Lord against Baasa, and against his house, & against all the wickednesse that he did in the sight of the Lorde, in angryng him with the worke of his owne handes, that he should be like the house of Ieroboam, and because he killed him.

8. யூதாவின் ராஜாவான ஆசாவின் இருபத்தாறாம் வருஷத்திலே பாஷாவின் குமாரனாகிய ஏலா இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் திர்சாவிலே ராஜாவாகி இரண்டு வருஷம் அரசாண்டான்.

8. The twentie & sixth yere of Asa king of Iuda, began Ela the sonne of Baasa to raigne ouer Israel in Thirza, two yeres.

9. இரதங்களில் பாதிபங்குக்குத் தலைவனாகிய சிம்ரி என்னும் அவன் ஊழியக்காரன் அவனுக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கட்டுப்பாடுபண்ணி, அவன் திர்சாவிலே அவ்விடத்து அரமனை உக்கிராணக்காரனாகிய அர்சாவின் வீட்டிலே குடித்து வெறிகொண்டிருக்கையில்,

9. And his seruaunt Zimri (which was captayne of halfe his charets) conspired against him as he was in Thirza drinking, and was druncken in the house of Arza, steward of his house in Thirza.

10. சிம்ரி உள்ளே புகுந்து, யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசாவின் இருபத்தேழாம் வருஷத்தில் அவனை வெட்டிக் கொன்றுபோட்டு, அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.

10. And Zimri came, and smote him, and killed him in the twentie & seuenth yere of Asa king of Iuda, and raigned in his steade.

11. அவன் ராஜாவாகி, சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் உட்கார்ந்தபோது, அவன் பாஷாவின் வீட்டாரையெல்லாம் வெட்டிப்போட்டான்; அவன் இனத்தாரையாகிலும், அவன் சிநேகிதரையாகிலும், சுவரில் நீர்விடும் ஒரு நாயையாகிலும், அவன் உயிரோடே வைக்கவில்லை.

11. And it fortuned that when he was king and sat on his seate, he slue al the house of Baasa, not leauing thereof one to pysse against a wall: Yea, he slue his kinsefolkes and freendes also.

12. அப்படியே பாஷாவும், அவன் குமாரனாகிய ஏலாவும், தங்கள் வீணான விக்கிரகங்களினாலே இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குக் கோபமுண்டாக்கிச் செய்ததும் இஸ்ரவேலைச் செய்யப்பண்ணினதுமான அவர்களுடைய எல்லாப் பாவங்களினிமித்தமும்,

12. And thus did Zimri destroy all the house of Baasa, according to the worde of the Lorde, which he spake against Baasa by the hande of Iehu the prophet,

13. கர்த்தர் தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிய யெகூவினால் பாஷாவைக்குறித்துச் சொல்லியிருந்த அவருடைய வார்த்தையின்படியே, சிம்ரி பாஷாவின் வீட்டாரையெல்லாம் அழித்துப்போட்டான்.

13. For all the sinnes of Baasa and sinnes of Ela his sonne which they sinned, and made Israel to sinne and angre the Lorde God of Israel with their vanities.

14. ஏலாவின் மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்களும், அவன் செய்தவை யாவும் இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

14. The rest of the wordes that concerne Ela & all that he did, are they not written in the booke of the cronicles of the kinges of Israel?

15. யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசாவின் இருபத்தேழாம் வருஷத்திலே சிம்ரி திர்சாவிலே ஏழுநாள் ராஜாவாயிருந்தான்; ஜனங்கள் அப்பொழுது பெலிஸ்தருக்கு இருக்கிற கிபெத்தோனுக்கு எதிராகப் பாளயமிறங்கியிருந்தார்கள்.

15. In the twentie & seuenth yere of Asa king of Iuda, did Zimri raigne seuen dayes in Thirza: & the people was then in the hoast besieging Gibbethon, a citie of the Philistines.

16. சிம்ரி கட்டுப்பாடுபண்ணி, ராஜாவைக் கொன்றுபோட்டான் என்பதை அங்கே பாளயமிறங்கின ஜனங்கள் கேட்டபோது, இஸ்ரவேலரெல்லாம் அந்நாளிலேதானே பாளயத்திலே படைத்தலைவனாகிய உம்ரியை இஸ்ரவேல்மேல் ராஜாவாக்கினார்கள்.

16. And the people in the hoast heard [one] saye, Zimri hath conspired, and slayne the king: Wherefore all they of Israel made Amri the captayne of the hoast, king ouer Israel that same day, euen in the hoast.

17. அப்பொழுது உம்ரியும் அவனோடேகூட இஸ்ரவேல் அனைத்தும் கிபெத்தோனிலிருந்து வந்து, திர்சாவை முற்றிக்கை போட்டார்கள்.

17. And Amri departed vp from Gibbethon, and all Israel with him, and they besieged Thirza.

18. பட்டணம் பிடிபட்டதைச் சிம்ரி கண்டபோது, அவன் ராஜாவின் வீடாகிய அரமனைக்குள் பிரவேசித்து, தான் இருக்கிற ராஜ அரமனையைத் தீக்கொளுத்தி, அதிலே செத்தான்.

18. And when Zimri sawe that the citie must needes be taken, he went into the palace of the kinges house, and burnt him selfe & the kinges house with fyre, and so dyed

19. அவன் கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்து, யெரொபெயாமின் வழியிலும் அவன் இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணின அவன் பாவத்திலும் நடந்ததினால், கட்டிக்கொண்ட அவனுடைய பாவங்களினிமித்தம் அப்படி நடந்தது.

19. For his sinnes which he sinned, in doing that which is euill in the sight of the Lorde, and in walking in the waye of Ieroboam, and in his sinnes which he did, and in that he made Israel to sinne.

20. சிம்ரியின் மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்களும், அவன் பண்ணின அவனுடைய கட்டுப்பாடும் இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

20. The rest of the wordes that concerne Zimri, & the treason that he wrought, are they not written in the booke of the cronicles of the kinges of Israel?

21. அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்கள் இரண்டு வகுப்பாய்ப் பிரிந்து, பாதி ஜனங்கள் கீனாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய திப்னியை ராஜாவாக்க, அவனைப் பின்பற்றினார்கள்; பாதி ஜனங்கள் உம்ரியைப் பின்பற்றினார்கள்.

21. Then were the people of Israel deuided into two partes: for halfe the people folowed Thibni the sonne of Ginath, making him king: and the other halfe folowed Amri.

22. ஆனாலும் கீனாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய திப்னியைப் பின்பற்றின ஜனங்களைப்பார்க்கிலும், உம்ரியைப் பின்பற்றின ஜனங்கள் பலத்துப்போனார்கள்; திப்னி செத்துப்போனான்; உம்ரி அரசாண்டான்.

22. But the people that folowed Amri, preuayled against the people that folowed Thibni the sonne of Ginath: And so Thibni dyed, and Amri raigned.

23. யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசாவின் முப்பத்தோராம் வருஷத்தில், உம்ரி இஸ்ரவேல்மேல் ராஜாவாகி, பன்னிரண்டு வருஷம் ராஜ்யபாரம்பண்ணினான்; அவன் திர்சாவிலே ஆறு வருஷம் அரசாண்டு,

23. In the thirtie and one yere of Asa king of Iuda, began Amri to raigne ouer Israel twelue yeres: Sixe yeres raigned he in Thirza.

24. பின்பு சேமேரின் கையிலிருந்து சமாரியா மலையை இரண்டு தாலந்து வெள்ளிக்கு வாங்கி, அந்த மலையின்மேல் ஒரு பட்டணத்தைக் கட்டி, அதற்கு மலையினுடைய எஜமானாயிருந்த சேமேருடைய பேரின்படியே சமாரியா என்னும் பேரைச் தரித்தான்.

24. He bought the hill Schomron of one Schemar for two talents of siluer, and buylt in the hill, and called the name of the citie which he buylt, after the name of Schemar, which had ben owner of the hill Schomron.

25. உம்ரி கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்து, தனக்கு முன்னிருந்த எல்லாரைப்பார்க்கிலும் கேடாய் நடந்து,

25. But Amri wrought that which is euil in the eyes of the Lorde, and did worse then all that were before him.

26. நேபாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் சகல வழியிலும், இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குத் தங்கள் வீணான விக்கிரகங்களாலே கோபம் மூட்டும்படியாய் இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணின அவனுடைய பாவங்களிலும் நடந்தான்.

26. For he walked in all the way of Ieroboam the sonne of Nabat, and in his sinnes, that made Israel sinne, to anger the Lorde God of Israel with their vanities.

27. உம்ரி செய்த அவனுடைய மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்களும், அவன் காண்பித்த வல்லமையும், இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

27. The rest of the wordes that concerne Amri, & al that he did, and his strength that he shewed, are they not written in the booke of the cronicles of the kinges of Israel?

28. உம்ரி தன் பிதாக்களோடே நித்திரையடைந்து, சமாரியாவிலே அடக்கம்பண்ணப்பட்டான்; அவன் குமாரனாகிய ஆகாப் அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.

28. And so Amri slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria, & Ahab his sonne raigned in his steade.

29. யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசாவின் முப்பத்தெட்டாம் வருஷத்தில் உம்ரியின் குமாரனாகிய ஆகாப் இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாகி, சமாரியாவில் இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் இருபத்திரண்டு வருஷம் ராஜ்யபாரம் பண்ணினான்.

29. In the thirtie and eyght yere of Asa king of Iuda, began Ahab the sonne of Amri to raigne ouer Israel, & the same Ahab the sonne of Amri raigned ouer Israel in Samaria twentie and two yeres.

30. உம்ரியின் குமாரனாகிய ஆகாப், தனக்கு முன்னிருந்த எல்லாரைப்பார்க்கிலும் கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்.

30. And Ahab the sonne of Amri did euill in the sight of the Lorde aboue all that were before him.

31. நேபாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களில் நடப்பது அவனுக்குக் கொஞ்சக்காரியமென்று நினைத்தாற்போல் அவன் சீதோனியரின் ராஜாவாகிய ஏத்பாகாலின் குமாரத்தி யேசபேலை விவாகம்பண்ணினதுமல்லாமல், அவன் போய் பாகாலையும் சேவித்து அதைப் பணிந்துகொண்டு,
வெளிப்படுத்தின விசேஷம் 2:20

31. For it seemed vnto him but a light thing to walke in the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nabat: He toke Iezabel also the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonites to wyfe, and went and serued Baal, and worshipped him.

32. தான் சமாரியாவிலே கட்டின பாகாலின் கோவிலில் பாகாலுக்குப் பலிபீடத்தை எடுப்பித்தான்.

32. And he reared vp an aulter for Baal in the temple of Baal which he had builded in Schomron:

33. ஆகாப் ஒரு விக்கிரகத்தோப்பையும் வைத்து, இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குக் கோபம் உண்டாக்கும்படிக்கு தனக்கு முன்னிருந்த இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாக்களெல்லாம் செய்ததைப்பார்க்கிலும் அதிகமாய்ச் செய்துவந்தான்.

33. And Ahab made a groue, and proceeded further in angring the Lorde God of Israel then all the kinges of Israel that were before him.

34. அவன் நாட்களிலே பெத்தேல் ஊரானாகிய ஈயேல் எரிகோவைக் கட்டினான்; கர்த்தர் நூனின் குமாரனாகிய யோசுவாவைக்கொண்டு சொல்லியிருந்த வார்த்தையின்படியே, அவன் அதின் அஸ்திபாரத்தைப் போடுகிறபோது, அபிராம் என்னும் தன் மூத்த குமாரனையும், அதின் வாசல்களை வைக்கிறபோது செகூப் என்னும் தன் இளையகுமாரனையும் சாகக்கொடுத்தான்.

34. In his dayes did Hiel of Bethel build Iericho: He layde the foundation therof in Abiram his eldest sonne, and set vp the gates thereof in his youngest sonne Segub, according vnto the word of the Lorde which he spake by Iosuah the sonne of Nun.
