6. Hell's ropes cinched me tight; death traps barred every exit.

7. A hostile world! I called to GOD, to my God I cried out. From his palace he heard me call; my cry brought me right into his presence-- a private audience!

13. அவருடைய சந்நிதிப் பிரகாசத்தினால் நெருப்புத்தழலும் எரிந்தது.

13. But his cloud-brightness burst through, a grand comet of fireworks.

14. கர்த்தர் வானத்திலிருந்து குமுறி, உன்னதமானவர் தமது சத்தத்தைத் தொனிக்கப்பண்ணினார்.

14. Then GOD thundered out of heaven; the High God gave a great shout.

15. அவர் அம்புகளை எய்து, அவர்களைச் சிதற அடித்து, மின்னல்களைப் பிரயோகித்து, அவர்களைக் கலங்கப்பண்ணினார்.

15. God shot his arrows--pandemonium! He hurled his lightnings--a rout!

16. கர்த்தருடைய கண்டிதத்தினாலும், அவருடைய நாசியின் சுவாசக் காற்றினாலும் சமுத்திரத்தின் மதகுகள் திறவுண்டு, பூதலத்தின் அஸ்திபாரங்கள் காணப்பட்டது.

16. The secret sources of ocean were exposed, the hidden depths of earth lay uncovered The moment GOD roared in protest, let loose his hurricane anger.

17. உயரத்திலிருந்து அவர் கை நீட்டி, என்னைப் பிடித்து, ஜலப்பிரவாகத்திலிருக்கிற என்னைத் தூக்கிவிட்டார்.

17. But me he caught--reached all the way from sky to sea; he pulled me out

18. என்னிலும் பலவான்களாயிருந்த என் பலத்த சத்துருவுக்கும் என் பகைஞருக்கும் என்னை விடுவித்தார்.

18. Of that ocean of hate, that enemy chaos, the void in which I was drowning.

19. என் ஆபத்து நாளிலே எனக்கு எதிரிட்டு வந்தார்கள்; கர்த்தரோ எனக்கு ஆதரவாயிருந்தார்.

19. They hit me when I was down, but GOD stuck by me.

20. என்மேல் அவர் பிரியமாயிருந்தபடியால், விசாலமான இடத்திலே என்னைக் கொண்டுவந்து, என்னைத் தப்புவித்தார்.

20. He stood me up on a wide-open field; I stood there saved--surprised to be loved!

21. கர்த்தர் என் நீதிக்குத்தக்கதாக எனக்குப் பதில் அளித்தார்; என் கைகளின் சுத்தத்திற்குத்தக்கதாக எனக்குச் சரிக்கட்டினார்.

21. GOD made my life complete when I placed all the pieces before him. When I cleaned up my act, he gave me a fresh start.

22. கர்த்தருடைய வழிகளைக் காத்துக்கொண்டுவந்தேன்; நான் என் தேவனுக்குத் துரோகம் பண்ணினதில்லை.

22. Indeed, I've kept alert to GOD's ways; I haven't taken God for granted.

23. அவருடைய நியாயங்களையெல்லாம் எனக்கு முன்பாக நிறுத்தினேன்; நான் அவருடைய பிரமாணங்களை விட்டு விலகாமல்,

23. Every day I review the ways he works, I try not to miss a trick.

24. அவர் முன்பாக மனஉண்மையாயிருந்து, என் துர்க்குணத்திற்கு என்னை விலக்கிக் காத்துக்கொண்டேன்.

24. I feel put back together, and I'm watching my step.

25. ஆகையால் கர்த்தர் என் நீதிக்குத் தக்கதாகவும், தம்முடைய கண்களுக்கு முன் இருக்கிற என் சுத்தத்திற்குத்தக்கதாகவும் எனக்குப் பலனளித்தார்.

25. GOD rewrote the text of my life when I opened the book of my heart to his eyes.

26. தயவுள்ளவனுக்கு நீர் தயவுள்ளவராகவும், உத்தமனுக்கு நீர் உத்தமராகவும்,

26. You stick by people who stick with you, you're straight with people who're straight with you,

27. புனிதனுக்கு நீர் புனிதராகவும், மாறுபாடானவனுக்கு நீர் மாறுபடுகிறவராகவும் தோன்றுவீர்.

27. You're good to good people, you shrewdly work around the bad ones.

28. You take the side of the down-and-out, but the stuck-up you take down a peg.

29. கர்த்தராகிய தேவரீர் என் விளக்காயிருக்கிறீர்; கர்த்தர் என் இருளை வெளிச்சமாக்குகிறவர்.

29. Suddenly, GOD, your light floods my path, GOD drives out the darkness.

30. உம்மாலே நான் ஒரு சேனைக்குள் பாய்ந்துபோவேன்; என் தேவனாலே ஒரு மதிலைத் தாண்டுவேன்.

30. I smash the bands of marauders, I vault the high fences.

31. தேவனுடைய வழி உத்தமமானது; கர்த்தருடைய வசனம் புடமிடப்பட்டது; தம்மை நம்புகிற அனைவருக்கும் அவர் கேடகமாயிருக்கிறார்.

31. What a God! His road stretches straight and smooth. Every GOD-direction is road-tested. Everyone who runs toward him Makes it.

32. Is there any god like GOD? Are we not at bedrock?

33. தேவன் எனக்குப் பலத்த அரணானவர்; அவர் என் வழியைச் செவ்வைப்படுத்துகிறவர்.

33. Is not this the God who armed me well, then aimed me in the right direction?

38. When I chased my enemies I caught them; I didn't let go till they were dead men.

40. You armed me well for this fight; you smashed the upstarts.

41. நான் என் பகைஞரைச் சங்கரிக்கும்படியாக, என் சத்துருக்களின் பிடரியை எனக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தீர்.

41. You made my enemies turn tail, and I wiped out the haters.

42. அவர்கள் நோக்கிப் பார்க்கிறார்கள், அவர்களை இரட்சிப்பார் ஒருவருமில்லை; கர்த்தரை நோக்கிப் பார்க்கிறார்கள், அவர்களுக்கு அவர் உத்தரவு கொடுக்கிறதில்லை.

42. They cried 'uncle' but Uncle didn't come; They yelled for GOD and got no for an answer.

43. I ground them to dust; they gusted in the wind. I threw them out, like garbage in the gutter.

44. You rescued me from a squabbling people; you made me a leader of nations. People I'd never heard of served me;

45. அந்நியர் இச்சகம் பேசி எனக்கு அடங்கி, என் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டவுடனே எனக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிகிறார்கள்.

45. the moment they got wind of me they submitted.

46. அந்நியர் முனைவிழுந்துபோய், தங்கள் அரண்களிலிருந்து தத்தளிப்பாய்ப் புறப்படுகிறார்கள்.

46. They gave up; they came trembling from their hideouts.

47. கர்த்தர் ஜீவனுள்ளவர்; என் கன்மலையானவர் ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கப்படுவாராக; என் இரட்சிப்பின் கன்மலையாகிய தேவன் உயர்ந்திருப்பாராக.

47. Live, GOD! Blessing to my Rock, my towering Salvation-God!

48. அவர் எனக்காகப் பழிக்குப் பழி வாங்கி, ஜனங்களை எனக்குக் கீழ்ப்படுத்துகிற தேவனானவர்.

48. This God set things right for me and shut up the people who talked back.

49. அவரே என் சத்துருக்களுக்கு என்னை விலக்கி விடுவிக்கிறவர்; எனக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்புகிறவர்கள்மேல் என்னை உயர்த்திக் கொடுமையான மனுஷனுக்கு என்னைத் தப்புவிக்கிறீர்.

49. He rescued me from enemy anger. You pulled me from the grip of upstarts, You saved me from the bullies.

50. இதினிமித்தம் கர்த்தாவே, ஜாதிகளுக்குள் உம்மைத் துதித்து, உம்முடைய நாமத்திற்குச் சங்கீதம் பாடுவேன்.

51. தாம் ஏற்படுத்தின ராஜாவுக்கு மகத்தான இரட்சிப்பை அளித்து, தாம் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணின தாவீதுக்கும் அவன் சந்ததிக்கும் சதாகாலமும் கிருபை செய்கிறார்.
